Support screenshot bug

There is a bug when i click F 10 the screen will struck for a second and then it will be normal again but from today, i was farming in the Atlantis above water map with my DK and boom the claw sword dropped for me. i was searching for this unique for days! before clicking the sword i thought to take a pic. but as soon as i press F 10 the screen struck. i thought it would get back to normal in secs but it didn't. i cant do anything other than Opening task manager and force closing DSO. then i opened DSO again hoping i will be in the same map. yes i was dead in the map but there is no loot...i lost the sword.. at least i may have clicked it and then take a pic. Guys never use screen shot in DSO. use Lightshot or any other until they fix this. i wrote to support but i know they cant get the drop back.. days of my hard work spoiled by this bug. please fix this ASAP!

 

I read somewhere about this error, but it says it may happen only if you play using the client out of full screen. I am using the client and I am always full screen. I had taken a lot of screenies using F10 and I never encountered this bug.

 

In my case if I play full screen I can press F10 without problem.

If I play in windows mode when I press F10 the game freezes (I can still listen audio) and the only way to go on it is kill thinclient process with Task Manager.

 

The game will also freeze if you are in windowed mode, but maximized and hit "alt."

 

I had a report of this bug about four months ago. Using Firefox to play DSO is my solution.

 

But at least they should make the option to disable the screenshot hotkey. Apps like green shot,light shot,share x were a lot good.

And, they should allow the space key to be utilised. Because it's easy to space key for jumping.
But it's really annoying that I lost a unique for that glitch. I have tried the alt key also but it didn't worked for me.. anyways I hope they listen this and fix this ASAP.

Using full screen to DSO is really a pain is you have a GFX CARD like me (Radeon 5450 1 GB DDR3) sometimes I even switch my monitor to 800x600 and use maximised mode (for widescreen) so that I can get fps between 45-60 fps.. and Firefox is really slow for my connection. I get 192-206 ping usually before my FUP ends. But now it's always above 300. When I inform them about this issue, I came to know that they don't even know what is ping. [facepalm]

 

I had reported that bug in the German forum as well, with detail on September 26th. From what I could find out, it is related to the Windows 10 window manager. I only experienced the problem with Windows 10 (not in earlier versions, specifically Win XP), and also only when I maximised the client WINDOW from the window bar. After maximising the client with the ingame button/F12, I had no problems.

For Firefox (and also IE), I actually had a very similar problem there: Running DSO in a windowed (non-fullscreen) browser window, then pressing F12 twice (Fullscreen and back) and then maximising the browser window again also leads to a freeze.

I'm french and i get the same bug, there is a fix, when you want take your screen, poot the game in full screen, and F10, he will struck diring around 1-2 seconde, and come back to the normal...

But if BP fix this bug, should be better than now ^^
