    Roadmap is the biggest tease.
    CMs are the TrollMasters around.
Truth is, DSO pipeline is an illusion that the community are made to believe. It doesn't even exist.
Every release proves it again and again.
    Am certain now.

I logged in just to thumbs up this post which 100% reflects my thoughts. It has been 2-3 weeks since I quit this game and I'll never look back. I feel soooo much better, like I've ended a bad relationship and now I feel FREE.

I could write so many reasons to why I quit, explaining how bad this game is but I just don't care anymore.

    Goodbye forever!

Catching up, catching up, fun never stops.
And off we go again!! (Ok, I have to announce this early: today I will be super brief. Sorry about that and do not despair; there are a lot of comments that I need to answer to, will do this week!!!)

    Hey there Dragonnns,

yes, there is indeed a lot on our plates - we are never hungry and we are never satisfied, on the other hand. All the communication that you receive via the forums and other means come originally from us, even if we are not the direct messengers that carry the information to you. I personally believe in the power of the forums but I also believe that I can invest a lot of time writing reports and chasing people down; this may not be as apparent to you as a message written here. But it's equally important in the end.

On the other hand, it's not that the English forum is the most important one - but, you will understand, it's certainly a very accessible language for a lot of people and we adopted as core language for communications within the team. Same reason why Twitch sessions are done in English. There's more people who can get something out of it than doing it merely in German or, gasps, in Spanish.

But I note down the criticism you are bringing. Point taken.

    Hey there sir,

    1. One gold has a chance to win the jackpot, of course.
    2. The team of moderators get certain benefits from dedicating their free time week after week to assist us with communications and general customer care performance. The benefits they get differ according to their position within the team and they are very welcome to spend them in the ways they deem necessary or satisfactory for them on their private accounts.

    Cheers!!

    Yeah, I know, rather short.
The number of meetings was strong this day. Or too damn high...

    See you soon & regards,

    Dear Haruki,
I have another question and a request for you...
Question: The Heredur doll pet has NO effect on the parallel world bosses (at least on Undead Grimmag in Q1 painful mode, this is where I tested it, without weapon, for constant damage). Surely that would not be the expected behaviour? Can we expect a change there?
No doubt that doll is cute, but for using it, I want to see an effect. And PW bosses are currently THE location where you would want that pet and for which I completed it!
Please check and clarify (here or via Twitch, as you like).
Edit: Also confirmed on Heredur in Q3 fatal mode: NO effect of the Heredur doll...
2nd Edit: In between, I received an answer from a German FM, see below. Thanks!

    Request:
As already requested numerous times before, please do not only tell us on Twitch IF and WHEN we may expect these great features, but also give us some hints about the (draft) game design (as soon as available), so that we get a chance to provide input and feedback before it is too late.
For me, those features (especially crafting 2.0) are the most crucial change since R155 and may well decide on whether I will continue playing this game or not. If these long-awaited features fail to address the needs and expectations of many players, but disappoint them at large, the consequences might be desastrous.

after many months without prem i tried it again to see how things are with premium because most people around christmas were saying about very good cube drop rates. but after release 161 they were not so happy. and so i see it myself too. u call this drop rate good? 1 cube per run in 2 maps in PW? seriously now? eeven the payers wont get what they pay for? nice way to troll us more

I'd love to know why it is a mod-edit to so much as casually mention any other video game or video game company on these forums. What is BigPoint so afraid of?

There's a clear line between talking about a feature in another game and telling people to go play another game. It is obvious and pretty clear when something is happening but that type of censorship is absurd and hinders real discussion. After 6+ years it would be nice to have this strict rule changed. The Reddit subreddit is already on life support and the forums here aren't doing much better.

There are also conflicts of jurisdiction between the game's EULA (Luxomburg, Germany) and the forum Terms of Use (California, United States) here. BP needs to wrap it all up and unify it to make it cohesive instead of making us agree to so many seperate things, please.

I'd love to not be considered 'bound' by German law when I am not a citizen of that country or playing on their servers.

Also optional but a 'human readable' version of all the legalese would be nice. Legalese is the 'official' document but human readable for those of us who aren't lawyers.

Hi Haruki. But i dont understand why your DSO team first write something in the german forum"server change" will come soon. And now your "team" will talk about the pro and cons again..its better for a Server like Balor or Werian move to grimmeg or heredur..1) We have more players 2)more fun 3)more money for BP 4)you have lower coasts for Servers. If you close for example 2-3little servers. I hope u will think about this.

And my other questions rings lvl 3. Well i can wait. But its good to see that you had the same idea and asked the designers allready about that.

Thanks 4 your answer, so i guess we dont need to expect the Server Change in the coming 6-9 Month then.

Oh my...lil coward again in full effect:confused:...do me a favor and remove your butt outta game.:D
And btw. Haruki is not a Boss, she is one of them CM's here. thats a big difference if you understand. ;)

    sweet :eek::D

but not correct, one of the Mods told something about Serverchange but wasn't clearly sure about.
Why did you belive it ??:eek:

    Hi Haruki,
for the sake of everybody here and in the German forum:
Just forget about the general implementation of that server change for now. Instead, "simply" grab some support guy and have him "manually" move @daywaker2 to Grimmag and @semen470 to Heredur, or vice versa, to put an end to that private feud...
May they (and we) live in peace and harmony ever after!

(no, I'm not serious, but once in a while you have to be allowed to day-dream a bit - right?)

In between, I received a reply to that question from a German FM.
"Currently, as a matter of fact, the Heredur doll has an effect only in "normal" PvE, i. e. neither in parallel worlds nor in events. This is planned to be reworked in the future and would be announced in the respective patchnotes accordingly."
Topic closed, for now, from my p.o.v. Thanks!

Honestly, while I can see your point of view, I can also kind of see theirs. On the one hand it is a little too strict to say you can't even casually mention any other games just to make a point of discussion. On the other hand, it could get other people interested in the casually mentioned game and therefore draw people away from Drakensang. You and BP both have valid points.

    Hey there everyone,

here we go with more CM answers, taken directly from the oven on this Friday evening.

    Hey there,

well, I hope that your ticket process went smooth and that you are back inside the game! From the exploit I can say that after conducting an investigation we have proceeded to apply a penalty all those accounts that have been found guilty of that charge in particular. I am aware that this could have happened before but, as Allogeneous clearly and rightly stated in his blue post, these cases sometimes take time to verify. Sorry about that.

    Hello,

Again, we are listening and we are implementing definitely a great number of features this year. Yes, some of them are taking painfully long since they were mentioned back in the days. I am aware of that, we are communally aware of that. We are pushing for them to happen as soon as possible so please bear with us.

    Hello there,
I am personally unaware of any plans to release the jewels of rage in a package in the Payment section... On the other hand, I do not think selling them via Andermant is the right way to go and I would look into more ways of getting a chance to these jewels during events, for instance, or some times (not always) at Gnob, as someone else has mentioned. And talking about fairness, it's a complicated matter because you could be equally unfair to two segments of clear players at the same time and depending on your perspective: rookies and veterans. The art and challenge comes in finding the right spot in the middle where you do not affect either group too much with a decision.

    Hello there,

I will say what I said to BigPapa: it's rather sad to see you leave as you were a knowledgeable player with interesting and respectable points of view. The technical instability of these days has been quite awful regarding your gaming experiences overall, specially if you were taking part in the event. We have stabilized that with the hotfixes but the DSO team is aware of the fact that this cannot become a norm nor a tradition. As for your other points of view, I will surely transmit the feedback here expressed. We keep on working on better releases for this year 2016 so hopefully we can see you back in the near future. If not, farewell and take care.

    Hey there sir,

After some years of traversing through the waters of community management, I think I do comprehend the level of dedication of invested players and their complaints not as painful calls for random attention but as clear concerns about the direction and development of the game they love and care about. The fact that this thread is so full of emotions and long discussions is a good example of it and it serves me well.

However, I personally do not think the implementation of another thread in the form will help us achieving something else we are not currently achieving. I fear it will turn very quickly, by the forum natural laws of digression, into a wild space where propositions and discussions mix again.

HOWEVER, what we can definitely do and will push for it, is a type of open survey directly sent by our team to the community where we will ask you guys to rate how important some community features are for you. This is something that can give us clear insights about what you want to see inside the game. Pretty absorbable, on the other hand. So hopefully I can come back to the forums and share more information about this - it'd be great.

And as a disclaimer from the CM side: believe me, our job satisfaction comes directly from giving you guys the best service possible amidst the circumstances. We are the first persons to get frustrated when something does not turn the way we wanted, which is pretty much aligned with what you guys want. So yeah, when we cannot deliver what we promise is always a blow for us. We are always learning and adapting. And we have our priorities rather clear.

    Hey there mister,

not clue if you have watched the Twitch session or you are not into those things... But to keep things short: yes, while we released 161 with the wings, Perils of Time and the little plethora of changes and bug fixes, the team was (and currently is) also working on other features: designing them, prototyping, building, testing, reviewing, etc. We have several projects in ongoing development.

As we have said live, we are very busy branching the Chinese version but we are also compelled to our very own roadmap and to improve the quality of our releases. This may not be translated into a full-packed release in March though.

    Hey there mister,

you should not feel like an idiot and you should not take it personally, as I am being as respectful to you as you are to me. We are engaging in a dialogue here - no need to get that defensive! ;) I am the first person to acknowledge the fact that any one of you has been playing the game way longer than I have and therefore have more background and practical knowledge. So apologies where apologies are due: I played and asked around and yes, these monsters always drop a green item but can also drop blue ones. Now, could you pinpoint me to the exact place where you got confused about this so I can correct it?

    Hey there,
please read my comment previously to Mr Scythe and the. On top of that, I probably forgot to mention the awesome job that our moderators are doing, scanning all the corners of the Seven Forums, and bringing all your weekly desires and wishes to the table. We then see what suggestions and wishes keep on repeating all over the weeks and across languages, with intensity. When I come here and see you guys asking for those same features and discussing them, then I know we are harvesting ideas in the right direction.

    -------------------------------------------------------

And this is it for today. I will come back on Monday and give a proper explanation about the group improvements (Taketh's message about it) and answer the last batch of questions and concerns. See you then!!

    Regards,
    Haruki

While I perfectly understand why and how even game-breaking bugs detected on Stablebuild make it to the live Servers (and require a hotfix there 3 days later), and I know these are not the CMs' fault, I still think some improvements could be made in the assessment of such bugs, by project/release Management. Maybe you just oughta give QM a stronger voice there.
It's nice that you try to fix severe bugs quickly via hotfix, but the number of hotfixes required in the past year is appalling.

Thanks for the information regarding the upcoming features.
I am actually a bit worried that an undo-feature of crafting 2.0 would make it too strong.
But I will "patiently" wait for more information.

As for the Defense events, I suppose you are aware that the old defenders' set is not attractive at all, any more? Yet, it would be nice if the old parts we already have could be upgraded, to reward those who earned and kept them - while they should become available from Gnob for newer players... :)

It makes sense from an Intellectual Property perspective. By editing out all mentions of other games, they might protect themselves better from a copyright suit.

As for the german eula for the game and californian terms of use for the forum, there's no real contradiction here.

Since it looks like kingshill and werian are on the list, it looks like (hopefully) that they are redoing or rerunning the first 2. So hopefully the belt and ring will be available again as up to level 50 items.

If I recall correctly, the first event took place before the introduction of the dwarf class, so there are no dwarves out there with the belt.

In today's twitch you made mention of the separate "player idea" threads that keep popping up while telling us that it isn't necessary. Obviously the players disagree that DSO is listening or there wouldn't be a need for these same threads to be posted over and over again for years on end.

Then there are the "official" feedback threads like the moon events or gnob that ran for over a year only to get every player idea ignored.

The lack of listening is a huge part of why players are leaving. It's nice that you (CM's and mods) pass along what we want, but what we need is for the dev's to actually listen to what players want. They can tell us what won't work or can't work or whatever, but ignoring us is not a way to keep customers happy.

You say that DSO isn't ignoring us, but too many players feel that way. Perception is reality.
