Realm Fragments

As you might have read, we decided to reduce the drop rate for Realm Fragments with this release. One reason for this is, that we run less Realm Fragment-based events than we have originally planned.

We have also implemented a special version of the Looters Fortune event that increases the drop rate of Realm Fragments. Our plan is to run this event regularly whenever an event is coming that requires Realm Fragments.

This change is the first step to decrease the huge gap between players with an endless amount of Realm Fragments versus players that struggle with finishing events due to a lack of Realm Fragments. The Looters Fortune event is supposed to create a balance between these two.​

Curse of the Black Knights – Return of Dragan​

Castle Ravencaw​

​

The castle has changed compared to the last time. Before the player is able to enter one of the four main maps of the event, the areas of Castle Ravencaw need to be unlocked by completing the first quests from Janus Fox who is waiting in front of the castle.​

Each unlocked area of Castle Ravencaw comes with a set of relic chests and a Fox Agent who offers quests to find out what Dragan is planning this time. At the end of each quest, a relic chest of the area can be opened. These chests can contain different rewards like premium membership, Andermant, Gilded Clover, Draken, runes, gems, unique items or a Jewel of Rejuvenation.​

Cursed Pearl Maps

Gloomy Pastures​

The Gloomy Pastures is a map full of fiery enemies and the place where the Fiery Headless Horseman can be found.​

Iron Forest at night​

The Iron Forest at night is a map full of frost enemies and the place where the Icy Headless Horseman can be found.​

Dragans Excavation Site​

​

Dragans Excavation Site is a map full of electrified enemies and the place where the Electrified Headless Horseman can be found.​

Sulfur Desert​

​

The Sulfur Desert is a map full of poisonous enemies and the place where the Poisonous Headless Horseman can be found.​

In all those four maps is also a chance that Cadoc the Belligerent appears. He must be defeated to open the portal to Mystras at night, Wild Forest at night or the Ghastly Grave.​

Black Knights’ Battleground

The battleground is one of the maps where the player has to use Empowered Cursed Pearls to enter them. Note that this area is meant to be a challenge for more experienced players and therefore is considered as failed if the player dies in this location. It is also important to know that the battleground can only be entered alone – so be prepared!​

The Great Hall​

The Great Hall can only be entered after completing the Preparation for the Unknown quest that is given by Janus Fox after unlocking all 4 areas of Castle Ravencaw. Note that, just like the Battleground, this map can only be entered alone and is a bigger challenge for all players.​

Event Attire

There is also an attire available for the event.

Get the Dragan Event Attire and receive the following bonus as long as you wear it: • 5% chance that enemies in Castle Ravencaw drop additional Cursed Pearls • 2% chance that Dragan drops an Empowered Cursed Pearl • 50% increased Elemental-charged Pearl drop stack size • 10% increased Raven Pearl drop stack size

Frequently asked questions

Will there be an old Dragan set available somewhere somehow?

If you refer to the Black Squire, Black Knight and Black Warlord equipment, the answer is yes and now. The unique items will not be available during this version of the Dragan event but the Gnob will offer the Skins of these items so that you could use them to customize your item appearance.​

What’s dropping from the Amphorae?

The Amphorae drop definitively Cursed Pearls and Draken among other generic loot but they also have a chance of dropping the Mysterious Scroll, the Iron Morning Star, the Administrator’s Chest, the Focarrific Chest of Elemental Intel, a Flame of a Phoenix, the Fire Gnome Horns and, of course, an Empowered Cursed Pearl.​

What’s the best way to farm Empowered Cursed Pearls?

The best way to get your first Empowered Cursed Pearls for the event is to follow the main quests that Janus Fox is offering and complete the first two progress bars of the event. These two progress bars give you the first 5 Empowered Cursed Pearls. Enough to unlock all 4 areas of Castle Ravencaw and doing your first Dragan run. After that, opening Amphorae or the relic chests is your best way to gather more Empowered Cursed Pearls.

Tip: Playing in groups reduces your amount of needed Empowered Cursed Pearls as only one group member has to activate the statues in Castle Ravencaw or open the portal to Dragan’s Refuge.​

Where is the Ghastly Widow (Spider Boss)?

The entry to the Ghastly Grave can appear randomly in all four Cursed Pearl maps (Gloomy Pastures, Ironforest at Night, Sulfur Desert, Dragan’s Excavation Site) after defeating Cadoc the Belligerent and his minions, who has a chance to spawn in those maps.​

Where/how do you collect progress for the 3rd progress bar?

The Raven Pearl drops from all bosses that belong to the Return of Dragan event.

Raven Pearl Black as midnight with ominous marbling on it like the reflection of a raven's eye, fixated on its prey. This pearl intrigues and frightens people and many swear that the marble swirls are actually moving. It can be found by bosses of the Curse of the Black Knights - Return of Dragan event.

How can I obtain “the scroll”?

If you haven’t obtained the Mysterious Scroll during the Riot of the Rocketmen event, you have a chance to get it from an Amphora during the Dragan event or from Dragan himself.​

Is there still a chance to complete the old Dragan event achievements?

Some of the old Dragan achievements have been moved to the “legacy” category and they cannot be completed anymore.

As described above, the Gnob offers the old Dragan event unique skins.​
