I actually managed to beat it now ^^ it was just a matter of long distance sniping

    60 GHz? Maaaan. That's just OP. :D :D

You know that x Hz is just x (of whatever) per second, and x GHz is x milliards (of whatever) per second? Monitors normally have their refresh rates in Hz. If you saw one working at 60 GHz... congratulations really.

Back to your point: If you run something at 24 Hz (fps) on a 60 Hz screen... you're going to get weird and possibly unpleasant results. That's why people are using vertical sync (which also can easily fail you). There are the reverse v-sync technologies, but that's irrelevant here really. Point is, the more FPS you have in the video, the better for compatibility's sake. Of course, if you're sharing it somewhere over the web, 30 Hz recording is enough for video to be watchable, and not take too long to upload etc.

    Also Trak was trolling you.

    Automatic Reload
    • Reduces Shrapnel Shot´s cool-down time from 60 to 40 seconds.

    I also recommend:

    Magic Tonic; Tonic of Efficacy
    Effect:
    • +100 steam.
    • Duration: 2 hours.
    • Cool-down time: 1 second.
    Magic Potion; Reformative Resource Potion
    Effect:
    • Restores 80% Steam.
    Effect Over Time:
    • Restores 10% Steam.
    • Tick Rate in seconds: 1 second
    • Duration: 10 seconds.
    • Cool-down time: 1 second.
Now let´s get into the battle:
Once We hit the Gong and the first wave pops up, We can immediately cast Dwarf-in-the-Box with Parting Gift talent to draw the "aggro" towards itself. Once this explodes, will stun any nearby enemy. Before the explosion occurs, We can also cast Tesla Turret in front of the Dwarf-in-the-Box with the Stunning Shock Talent to gives us 10% of stunning the enemies within it´s range. Let us not forget about the enemies coming from the sides, We can also Cast one Oil Slick with the Sticky Tar talent to slow down anything that tries to come closer for a short period of time only. Usually, the enemies come from the bottom right of the map because the ones drawing the aggro will be the ones in front of us. Therefore the Oil Slick should be placed on Our bottom right and always pay attention to that side of the map for when the Dwarf-in-the-Box expires. Now, let us count how much steam we have used:
    • Dwarf-in-the-Box: 20 Steam.
    • Tesla Turret (1): 50 Steam.
    • Oil Slick (1): 20 Steam.
    • Total amount: 90 Steam.
In this simple combination of skills, We used 90 Steam out of our initially 100 Steam (I am not taking into consideration any Wisdom talents or Equipment for this). But, by the time the Dwarf-in-the-Box expires, explodes and stuns the enemies around, We will need to do something to get away from the enemies in front of us, not so much trouble with the ones coming from the bottom right since We placed an Oil slick beforehand to help us out with this issue. We can use one of our Reformative Resource Potions to restore 80% of Our Steam + 10% every 1 second, then, let us cast C-14 Micro Rocket with the talent Resonating Warhead on the enemies in front of us followed by Shrapnel Shot with all of it´s talents.

Why Do We focus on the enemies in front of us?
    • These Were the first ones to take damage. Therefore, are the enemies we can defeat quickly.
Why C-14 Micro Rocket followed by Shrapnel Shot?
    • When the Dwarf-in-the-Box expires, this one will stun the nearby enemies but only for a short duration. We want them to remain stunned and unable to get near us once again while maintaining them within the range of Our Tesla Turret where they can get stunned once again if lucky. While they get stunned by Our C-14 Micro Rocket, We also cast Shrapnel Shot to get another chance of maintaining them stunned.
    Steam consumed at this point:
    • C-14 Micro Rocket and Shrapnel Shot have a 0 resource cost.
    • Total amount: 0.

At this point, the enemies from the bottom right will be near us and ready to attack us. Since We focused fire the enemies in the front, We can move to the upper side of the map and if the enemies are getting closer to us, We can either cast an Oil Slick to slow them down or, to cast Steam Conductor with the talent Forward to increase our movement speed by 25%. If with all of this the enemies are still there, We can also cast Rocket Pack to a direction We think it will be safe to land.

    Steam consumed at this point:
    • Oil Slick: 20 Steam.
    • Steam Conductor: 20 Steam.
    • Rocket Pack: 0 Steam.
    • Total amount: 40 Steam.
Once We get to a safer position We can Repeat the Dwarf-in-the-Box - Tesla Turret Combination but this time We can add a Mechanical Turret to the equation. Before doing all of this, keep in check your resource, if you need more resource, use another Reformative Resource Potion. Depending how much Steam We have, We can cast the Dwarf-in-the-Box with 2 Tesla Turrets and 2 Mechanical Turrets with the talent Motivation to reduce our active cool-down times by 1 second for each hit.

Why Do We need 2 Tesla Turrets this time?
    • We no longer have any stun available other than Dwarf-in-the-Box. Therefore if enemies come forward, We will be in a dangerous position. The extra Tesla Turret will allow us to get a chance of stunning the enemies after they free themselves from the Dwarf-in-the-Box.
Why Do We need 2 Mechanical Turrets?
    • Due to C-14 Micro Rocket and Shrapnel Shot being in cool-down time, We are forced to reduce this cool-down time so that We can use them once again to keep our enemies stunned.
We can also Cast Steam Conductor until our Steam resource goes down to 0 and prog it´s effect.

    Steam Conductor:
    • Reduces all active cool-down times by 1.5 seconds.
If Our Steam resource is 100 and the cost of this skill is 20, We can cast this skill 5 times and reduce all active cool-downs by 7.5 seconds.

    Steam consumed at this point:
    • If We Cast Steam Conductor (steam consumed from Oil Slick and Steam Conductor: 40) 3 times: 60 steam and -4.5 seconds to all active cool-down times.
    • Reformative Resource Potion: +80% resource and 10% more every second.
    • 2 Tesla Turrets: 100 steam.
    • Reformative Resource Potion: +80% resource and 10% more every second.
    • 2 Mechanical Turrets: 100 Steam.
    • Reformative Resource Potion: +80% resource and 10% more every second. 80% of 100 = 80. 10% of 100 = 10.
Total amount: 260 Steam + 2 Reformative Resource Potion.

At this point in the game it is only Do and Repeat until the number of enemies is reduced to only the champions, leaders, elites, etc. Then We can Cast Dwarf-in-the-Box to draw the "aggro" and place an Oil Slick to make them difficult to reach it and cast Tesla Turret with Machine Gun Turret, C-14 Micro Rocket and Shrapnel Shot. Kite out of the centre, reduce cool-downs times and repeat until the Battleground arena is finished.

Take into consideration the use of Dwarf-in-the-Box. If you notice you need to cast it again to survive, don´t doubt to cast it once again.

Equipment such as Sigrismar´s Eternal Scorn could help out with the Mechanical Turret.

The General and the Commanders follow the same script. They either charge, cast Ground Breaker or Jump. Regardless of what skills they have. Take advantage of your Dwarf-in-the-Box and Oil Slick to keep busy those who give you trouble like the Fire element ones. Be ready to cast Steam Conductor with the Forward talent to increase your movement speed and run away. Be mindful that the centre of the map casts Meteors, so always play out of it´s range.

I hope this can help out Dwarf players out there. If it didn´t, let me know by replying to this post. I wish you a good day.

Delete 1 pixel on one side, the entire color range may shift, this is a companion app for any software (codec), but you will keep the brightness of each coordinate at the same level. And yes, if you watch a 5-frame video clip, but record 144 frames programmatically, your 5 frames will turn into 144, your Vsync will be forced, they won't become 5-frame video. Don't try to laugh where it looks stupid. It's a game with very rough contrast and edges in the shadows (which is cool), and the extra frames or lack thereof give it a bit of gradation and nothing else. For a couple of years I managed to make several dozen records, my video streams were 25.0 00 kbps / (60-24) s for a regular ABC1 with the same codec that is in the top here. And the latter uses a sharper filter with the same codecs, come in and see, there is an additional 6400 filter on ABC. But thanks for the science.

PS I use google translate and deepl, sometimes they can change values. But if this is important to you, then there is a time machine ... Although I myself could have reprinted, I hope you have not found a monitor with a frequency of 60 Hz during this time? Listen dude, he stopped changing values. Apparently these companies work every day. And I'm too lazy to type in English, I hope you understand how it works.

Well, there's a few days left to the event, so I figured, why not do the Great Hall while I'm waiting for DoE? xD

@Týr Thanks for the extensive guide, but I think for me it's best to hit and run since I only have 111k HP. I did play with stunning shrapnel shot but that was too random to rely on. I just made distance on the mob, placed my turrets and shrapnel shot and then got a couple shots in with the rocket.
That said I didn't have a problem with the first 7 waves but the last guy gave me some problems due to dso not being accurate enough or my own mistakes. If he got me once it was over. So yeah for that i recommend long distance sniping and oil slick.
Also I'm not going in there again to test dwarf in a box XD Glad i got my t8 amulet now

I think i did even more hit and run than you described ^^ I basically ran whenever I saw one of the minis entering my screen. Really more chaotic than your guide

Busy week here, but I did finally find time for the Full Moon event. Khalys and DoE will follow on Thursday and Friday respectively if things go according to plan.

So you think you could make one of these tutorials. That shows Mages how to place/put/set/fire/shoot(what ever they call it) their guardians. I know they love their guardians. But sure would be nice if they didn't drop them on my head when I am tanking. Rangers ain't got dragonhide.

You can also add to it, not to drop it in places where monster regenerate. Like the flower circle in Full moon. They drop the guardian right in the middle of the flowers and taunt the mobs right to where they regenerate. Footnote add a DK not jumping right in the middle of those flowers and taunt. End up wasting silver essence.. or any other place the monsters generate.

Thnx in advance, look forward to watching it.

Lol, not sure what Dragonhide has got to do with it. When we pick up a SW who plops Guardians in all the wrong places, Tyr with Dragonhide flips out too.

Honestly, I was planning to do skill guides after the CE in November, just because everything might change then.

As for the flower thing... oops. Guess it'll go into the Full Moon guide after the CE if there's significant changes/reworks then.

LOL, well I have never played a DK. Maybe I have the name of the skill wrong and it is not called Dragonhide. What ever DK skill it is called to regenerate HP. Ranger don't have that to enhance their tanking ability. heheheheheheeheh Rangers tank the old fashioned way and play dodgeball. :p

Alright, so it's Khalys time this morning. :)

Putting a Guardian down in the wrong spot not only creates an object that can block your path, but it also messes up DK aggro skill = great way to make them cranky. Thus why I said it has nothing to do with Dragonhide lol

Ok, last video for this week is covering Desert of the Lost. Because I do not have pre-existing footage of the next few upcoming events (New Moon, Gwenfara, etc) those ones will be released a little bit slower in the upcoming weeks.

Damn, you won't be showing Kia Krisal bosses... I was hoping for at least some way to fight them efficiently. I don't even understand their skills/attack timings - all I know is they one-shot me on almost any difficulty...

    Good video BTW :)

You have voiced exactly the issue here - they one-shot people. I can suffer an attack from an Inf 4 boss and not die, but I get one-shot by any causal attack from an Inf 1 boss in this event AND there's only a 2 minute window to kill the boss. Talk about "balanced." :D

In any case, just a short one today. I am experimenting with video formats, for those wondering why it's a vertical video.

And here we are, the Ghost Festival and challenge event.

Just a little fun one for today.

And of course, back to the good ol' Parallel World bosses.

I realize there are a few folks who actually do pay attention to the forums, but I'm sure the mods are getting tired of merging my posts. So anyways, I think I'll be discontinuing posting the videos onto the forums for now. I will still be making them, so if you want to get notified when they get published, just subscribe on YT so as not to miss out.

    Thanks everyone!
