I was playing this game when I was a kid.
Today I started playing it again, and it is magical! Just magical!
I even installed Windows on old laptop, just for the sake of playing it.

I already tried some other ARPGs, and they just too complex and without fun of searching artifact!
You constantly need to read build guides without playing on your own.
But Drakensang is a brilliant game, and it is really sad that player base is so low now.

 

If your old character still has 4 or 5 cooldown jewels and the jewel of rage, MAYBE. MAYBE if you like LOTS of grinding on the same 2-3 maps.

If your character does not have these jewels, NO NO NO NO and NO.

No, the game still sustains itself through the remnants left over from the 40-45 eras, most of what used to be fun has been completely deconstructed and reworked in a tedious and tiresome way, any and all innovations have failed, here at Brazil we have a saying, “don't mess with time you're winning”, this totally applies to Drakensang, which with each update announced with so much euphoria by the team declines its users more. I very much agree with what a colleague said above, it's worth going in to remember, observe the places where we used to have fun with friends and that today are nothing more than deserts. What I miss the most is the pvp, in a balanced way, we had fun for hours, time used to pass with the speed of light. I've been playing Drakensang for 12 years and it makes me extremely sad to see a game that only needed basic improvements turned into a bugbear.

 

No, the updates destroyed the game, this last one from lvl 55 to 100 was the last straw, a game that had the potential to yield rivers of money for the company is yielding crumbs for all the players.

 

Do you want constructive criticism? revert these bugs called updates that only brought problems and was never seen as fun for anyone, I think that's the idea of a game, to be fun, the team seems to be thinking otherwise, we can summarize the current dso as boring and tedious.

 

Reading this forum thread is just absolutely hilarious you just know more and more will keep pilling up here now that this year+ old thread was dug up.

also my answer is NO, if one looks at how the current DSO works. All Bugs / errors in game are getting worse and worse which even start when you want to log in, sometimes I have to enter my data 3x but the image often freezes when I press login. The whole bunch of other bugs are still unsolved till now which raises questions like ; are developers capable enough to solve this, it seems as if they don't even know their own game. In the meantime, we players have to deal with all the shortcomings in the game. A fee, perhaps in the form of a cool bonus code, no, that's not included either. But there are many players who do pay for their premium etc but do not get their money's worth. Why would we recommend anyone asking to play DSO now. Actually it speaks for itself but it also depends on the type of person. I admit, after many years of being attached to DSO I can't bear to hang up my account but the current way of having to play and the most worthless rewards don't make me feel good.
Despite everything, I keep on playing ingame.
When will loyalty be rewarded for players who are waiting for the game to work properly again.
I can't discuss all the bugs because then I'll be writing tomorrow. Recently someone on the forum said that blaze or maze was still 1 of the good things, I played 3 hours in that map yesterday and got 1 normal rune. I wouldn't even call that reward worthy. The gems that drop are of too low a level.
This is not motivation at all to keep playing.
If necessary, lock the game for 2 days and get rid of those bugs and only come back when everything works properly. DSO is no longer DSO.

Just an extra example for you, after posting the previous message, I'm going to the great desert Merciless, I (Mage) throw out my guard but there is no guard to see, I use mind control but this one doesn't work either.
What more need I say, DSO fails to the max

 

Have started it again! regret it already! the support is worth nothing anymore... the game crashes! too often! and before you start about clean your computer! that's nonsense! if other games bigger than drakensang work perfectly! there is now an event that seems to be made for the pay for win guys..... I pay 25 euros for VIP every month for that! I say don't start! to play drakensang used to be much better

 

I would say no, simply cus I think this game doesnt offer much content and lootboxes are the only thing new since new team took over.

All the problems I see people state about the errors/crashes/etc. I can't really share the same experience with tho. My game runs good and can't remember the last error/crash I had.
