About the new server Harold

Are there any advantages to playing in the new Harold server?
Since there are very few players, are the loading times, latency or other times less frequent than on other servers, or does it not make any difference?

 

Harold isn't new, it's just pretty much dead. If you're just starting out I'd choose one of the EU servers since they're the most active which would help you during events & other things. I'm on Agathon myself & it's not too bad other than finding English speakers.

I'm not sure how it affects the load times & things. I still wouldn't want to play on a dead server even if they where better.

If you use Discord, you could ask on the Drakensang server there for quicker help...usually.

 

Among the european servers Grimmag, Heredur and Werian was not there before, so I talked about a new server.
After starting the game the Harold server was chosen, I don't know if this choice depends on the proximity to the closest server geographically.

However, after some tests I found that the loading times of the game are the same, regardless of the server chosen.

If they were to remove this server, will the characters be transferred to another one?

 

I don't know how they would handle that if that happened. I know people have hoped for an option to merge/switch servers at some point, but don't know if they have plans or the ability to implement that.

There should be an option to select which server you want to join when logging in. The EU servers have always been there, so I'm not sure why they didn't show up. If you don't have much time invested in your character yet, I'd consider switching servers.

 

In this case, let's leave things as they are and see what happens.
