Hi again... I have a problem. doing maps i received some items from crafting quest in iron mines. as they only occupied place in my inventory the only way to take them out was cancelling the quest, and then i though to go to Jarlon and talking to Roxana to take it again. the porblem is that Roxana doesn't want to give me the quest again.

Are those green quest of crafting still exist in release 245? because if the drop still exist it mean the quest should be too...

    Thanks

I have several toons from before CE which had all of the repeatable crafting quests in their journal. After CE, the quests remained in the quest log within their journals and can be completed, but once completed, the relevant craft master no longer offers the quest. No longer repeatable. BP doesn't want to give you free stuff :).

Side note: Completing the quests did give me a Crafting Chest with the usual mixture of raw ingredients inside, no recipe, although recipe drops were very rare anyway. So, it's at least vaguely useful to complete the old crafting repeatable quests one last time if you've got them in your quest log still.

To be honest, I'm not 100% certain BP intended kill those repeatable quests, instead accidentally dropping them from the crafting masters' script.

The new scheme apparently revolves around experience achievements: Create x # of this type of potion on Common (white) ingredients, you'll get an achievement to create the same type of potion using Improved (green) ingredients, and so on. However, you have to buy the recipes to create that first set of Common potions (elixirs, tonics, or physics) ... and the recipes are no longer available for purchase from the crafting masters.

Which leads me to conclude that crafting is simply another sub-system they bungled in their rush to "complete" the "content expansion" release, and there's a chance that they'll revert some of the updates to consumable crafting, or at least correct the craft master scripts so they'll have the Common recipes for sale as well as possibly re-enabling the repeatable quests.

After all, if new players can't craft consumables, there's no reason for the players to buy crafting vessels & multi-tools, reducing BP's revenue. Sure, they could remove the consumable crafting altogether and leave us only the option to purchase ready-to-consume potions, etc., but many players will figure out how to survive without potions and buffs and refuse to buy them (or quit the game ... an ever-increasingly tempting third option).

Hi and thanks dkarl for your reading, as always it is really interesting. Like you say, if the game goes on this way, third option seems to be the best one. BP is castrating us and is not possible to go further doing quest some of them bugged and not having more than chapter 1, and not being capable of doing what we did before 245. I mean no "Q" no farmng like before, just painful and thanksno pvp, and we are stucked. This is why i play with 3 toons, but is my war the only one that remains to finish every thing, but without eager... let see how long i'm gonna last. In January event are not of my interest.

Thanks again for your time, and to any mod, please close this tread too at your convenience.

What's extra interesting is that only one of the quests seems to remain repeatable - Petyax in Kingshill. There's a timer on that quest of something like 5-6 hours though.

Actually, they modified the contents of the crafting chest without bothering to update the tooltip. I have gotten a bunch of exo and leg ingredients... including that stupidly expensive legendary filter paper. :D
