CURSE OF THE BLACK KNIGHTS – RETURN OF DRAGAN
    ~Event Guide~

    1.jpg

    Quick Overview
    Required level:20-55
    Duration:11th of September 12:00 CEST –
    4th of October 23:59 CEST
    Event summary:
Dragan is back with his evil tricks!

He seems to be up to his wicked plans again, building an army of mindless possessed slaves, perhaps… But one thing is for sure, he gathers more and more strong fighters. What is he planning? You must find out and stop him!
    2.png

    Dragan’s Evil Plan!
Head to Kingshill and find the entrance for Castle Ravencaw, click on the portal to start the event and face the hordes of Dragan the Damned! There is no entrance fee! (except for Infernal IV and above)

On the other side of the portal you will encounter two NPCs – Shady Jon, the event merchant, selling various of useful items to complete your event adventure (more info about him down below), and Janus Fox, a quest keeper, who will provide you with the “Closed Down” quest, allowing you to unlock all four additional event dungeons and the “Unobstructed View” quest, which will help you unlock the Relic Chest in Castle Ravencaw, near the Entrance Hall.

We suggest that you play in a group, because this reduces your amount of Empowered Cursed Pearls needed, as only one group member has to activate the statues in Castle Ravencaw (needed for the “Closed Down” quest) or open the portal to Dragan’s Refuge.

The following quest “Preparation for the Unknown” unlocks the new Great Hall dungeon, bringing a lot of surprises.

Collect Cursed Pearls (from monsters or amphorae in Castle Ravencaw), Elemental-charged Pearls (from the four additional dungeons in Castle Ravencaw and the three secret dungeons, appearing after them, more info about them down below) and Raven Pearls (from defeating Dragan, the Ghastly Black Widow and the six Special Force Unit members, more info about them down below) on your way and fill the progress bars.

    Progress bars:
Progress bars are selected by tiers and are level dependent.

Level 55 progress bars are determined by your Achievement Points score.

    009.png

    Castle Ravencaw:
In Castle Ravencaw, you can firstly find one direct entrance – to the Black Knights’ Battleground, as well as one entrance that leads you to Dragan himself (Dragan’s Refuge), after interacting with the Offering Brazier (on top of the map). You collect Cursed Pearls from this map, needed to finish the first progress bar and enter the four additional dungeons in Castle Ravencaw.

Each unlocked area of Castle Ravencaw comes with a set of relic chests and a Fox Agent, who offers quests to find out what Dragan is planning this time. When first having unlocked the four additional maps in Castle Ravencaw, at the end of each quest, a relic chest of the area can be opened. These chests can contain different rewards like premium membership, Andermant, Gilded Clovers, Drakens, Lesser Runes, Gems, Unique items or a Jewel of Rejuvenation.

    010.png

Inside these four dungeons you can farm Elemental-charged Pearls, needed for the second progress bar. In all those four maps, there is also a 5% chance that Cadoc the Belligerent appears. He must be defeated, along with the evil minions following him, to open a secret portal, leading to Ghastly Grave, Wild Forest at Night or Mystra at Night.

After clearing at least 80% of the dungeon, you will be able to open the Relic Chest. It can be found inside the four additional dungeons of Castle Ravencaw, Wild Forest at Night and Mystra at Night from the secret maps (will be marked on the mini-map). It is one of the sources for collecting Empowered Cursed Pearls, needed for the further challenges and also a way of completing the two final progress bars.
With a low spawn rate, you could face some of the Special Force Unit members in these four additional maps in Castle Ravencaw and some of the secret maps. You’ll notice them when you see a red skull icon, displayed on the mini map. Defeating them unlocks achievements. When having defeated all of them, you will be rewarded with the “Hunter/Huntress of the Special Force Unit” title.

    022.png

    Black Knights' Battleground:
Enter the Black Knights' Battleground to face the strong knights of Dragan! But beware, this special challenge can be played only Solo and must be completed without dying! If you die, you lose everything and you need to re-enter the dungeon, unless you have the Second Chance Wisdom skill, which could save you from not losing your progress there. Keep in mind that the dungeon can be played only on Infernal difficulties, needing an Empowered Cursed Pearl to enter.

If you manage to complete the dungeon on Infernal I difficulty or above, you will automatically be granted the Amulet of the Black Knight unique item, due to the event achievement, which can be completed only once, meaning you can obtain the amulet only one time per achievement. It can also drop from the final boss of the dungeon.

Ring the Battle Gong to let the battle begin!

    023a.jpg

    Dragan’s Refuge:
Are you ready to take on Dragan eye-to-eye? Then defeat the Damned and receive Dragan’s Rageful Armor and Dragan’s Protective Armor as a reward! (except Weapon, more info down below) Do not expect mercy – you will be in Dragan’s own Refuge, where he is invincible!

To enter this dungeon, you need to click on the Offering Brazier, on top of Castle Ravencaw, and defeat Humfrye the Wrathful and his minions. Bear in mind that the portal will last only 60 seconds, in which you need to enter the Refuge, otherwise you will need to re-enter Castle Ravencaw and interact with the Offering Brazier again.

It requires an Empowered Cursed Pearl to interact with the Offering Brazier. Dragan rewards Raven Pearls, needed for the third and fourth progress bars.

    Great Hall:
Enter Great Hall of Castle Ravencaw and find out what Dragan is planning there! The Great Hall can only be entered after completing the “Preparation for the Unknown ”quest, given by Janus Fox after unlocking all 4 areas of Castle Ravencaw.

The dungeon is full of surprises, have this in mind! An Empowered Cursed Pearl is required to enter. The dungeon is only accessible when being Solo, to face the real challenge against Dragan and his knights and Black Widow, but if you manage to kill Dragan, the rest of the opponents will die with him. Unlike the Black Knights' Battleground, if you die in this dungeon, you will not need to re-enter it and will not lose your progress and you will be able to respawn for the cost needed.

On your first completed run there, you will receive the whole Dragan’s Rageful Armor and Dragan’s Protective Armor sets except for the Weapon. You can also get Dragan Doll (more info down below) or as a drop from Dragan himself (on Improved rarity), or as a reward for completing an achievement for defeating Dragan in Great Hall on Infernal I difficulty or higher (on Extraordinary rarity). How mighty you would look with having the Damned fighting along with you, even if it is in pocket size. You can also get the Empowered Headless Horseman Costume from there.

    027.png

After defeating Dragan, a Relic Chest will appear, containing Raven Pearls and special rewards, more importantly – Lesser Runes. Dragan and the Relic Chest both drop equal amounts of Raven Pearls, needed for the third and fourth progress bars.

After clearing at least 80% of the map, you will be able to open the Relic Chest in the dungeon (will be marked on the mini-map).

The dungeon monsters drop Elemental-charged Pearls, needed for the second progress bar.

    030.jpg

    Mystra at Night:

After clearing at least 80% of the map, you will be able to open the Relic Chest in the dungeon (will be marked on the mini-map).

The dungeon monsters drop Elemental-charged Pearls, needed for the second progress bar.

    031.jpg

    Ghastly Grave:
Beware of the Ghastly Black Widow! She will appear after defeating the two leaders at the two ends of the map. She will try to wrap you in her cobwebs. Cut her spiderwebs and defeat her together with her brood and receive Dragan's Protective Armor as a reward or get the Black Widow mount and show your might when travelling around Dracania! You will always receive one of the mentioned rewards.

Ghastly Black Widow rewards Raven Pearls, needed for the third and fourth progress bars and the Amphorae in the dungeon reward Elemental-charged Pearls, needed for the second progress bar.

This is one of the sources to gather easily more Empowered Cursed Pearls, which are needed for the further challenges and also a way of completing the two final progress bars.

The Relic Chest in Great Hall has a chance also of dropping Lesser Runes and a lot of other useful gear.

    The Group Chest:
Can be found in all four additional Castle Ravencaw dungeons and some of the secret maps, when being in a group with at least one more player in the map. Each chest can be destroyed only by the specific class it is applied to, requiring Spirit Essence.
