I just downloaded DSO again after a break, but I'm unable to install it. It doesn't show the client, and I can't seem to find it among running processes.
I tried the Steam version, to check if I could swith accounts there, but while the game itself worked, I was unable to.
Any technical support would be appreciated.

    Edit1:
I realize I might have been too sparse in how exactly I'm experiencing the error.
    1. I download the installer.
    2. I run it as an admin.
    3. There is no visible change or new process that pops up in Task Manager.
    Edit2:
I'm now certain the problem is with how my pc runs the client. I ran the client in a virtual environment and it installed and began necessary downloads without any and all problems.
I guess I can now play, but what the heck?

Before reinstalling it, did you uninstall it correctly?
Have you deleted everything related to DSO that is in the Temp folder?

Hey, sorry for the late reply and thanks for the help.
I reinstalled the opsys completely between the first error and the last time I played the game, so no previous temp files survived. I've also emptied temp files and cleaned up registries between retries.

I'm going to put this last part into the main post as well, so maybe someone who has encountered this can see.

I don't know what else to suggest to you to fix the problem.
