Announcement UPDATE – Official Statement regarding the XP bug

    Dear heroes of Dracania,

    From the release date of the Return of Dragan event on the 15th until the release of the hotfix for release 157 on the 21st, a number of players were affected by a bug that granted exponential XP gain while playing the event. As a result of which, some of you leveled up in an extreme way in a matter of seconds.​

    The team of Drakensang Online worked hard to fix this bug and has been working on how to solve the unpleasant situation that a lot of you were put in. After a careful consideration and bearing in mind the technical impacts and risks that the whole operation would entail, we cannot provide a general reset for all affected users via a query or script.​

    This means that we are offering the possibility of resetting your character level only via Customer Support and the ticket system. We know that this resolution will anger some people out there and we want to be crystal honest with you. This has not been an easy decision for us. Due to the nature of the bug, it has been impossible to discern with complete certainty legit affected players from malicious bug users and this is the reason why we are limiting the solution to individual petition cases. We think it’s the best help we can provide to all affected users out there. ​

    How can I get my level back?
    If you were one of the users affected by this bug, then please write a ticket to our Customer Support team (click HERE) and they will be able to help you.​

    What happens with my items?
    After a careful consideration, we have decided not to touch any items that are or were in your inventory during the duration of this bug. This means:​
      • We will not take any items away from you.
      • We will not restore gear items that you melted or destroyed in the meantime.
      • We will not offer any glyph or item compensation.
    The reason behind this is that we believe everyone should keep what they found in between the release of the event and the hotfix. At the same time, if you applied any changes to your inventory by smelting or deleting items that belonged to your original level, it is to our understanding that you were actively making use of the bug or profiting from the situation. In this case we are not responsible for those kinds of changes and cannot assist in any way. Please bear in mind that Customer Support will follow this resolution.

    We would like to apologise for the inconveniences caused with all this situation and thank you for your patience.​

    10.11.2015 – UPDATE: Please note that there is a deadline for manual account restorations and this is Sunday, the 15th of November. Our Customer Support teams will not restore any accounts of claims that arrive AFTER this date so make sure you file your tickets as soon as possible. Thanks!​
