Lost truth Event Feedback

I did some of the event with three of my toons. For my 45, I lost interest after the first lot of lock picks. I do these events mostly for the draken, but the rewards were so un-enticing that I lost interest.

For my lvl 22, I wanted the pet, and got it. So woohoo there. I made it to 1855/ and lost interest. I wasn't bothered about the legend gear or working so hard for lock picks, and wasn't planning on trying the inferno.... so the extra xp for those rewards wasn't worth it to me.

For my lvl16 ranger, I got to about 810/ and had enough because again, the rewards weren't worth it.

I like the actual map and monsters.

All in all, a nice easy event for some cots, picks, and draken. A decent filler event.

 

Here's a piece of feedback for ya. I just played the boss map from the last event reward and all I can say is that the guys who prepared this little event map pissed me off big time. You speed the bosses up, give them more then enough dmg to one-shoot people and give them a range so they can shoot you while you can't see them on your screen... lost like 1200 ander on that map for resurrection, all for a EDIT legendary crap item.

Only question that came to my mind was why I am paying for premium if you force me to pay anyway the one time I do actually die and need resurrecting. The answer is of course that I am stupid and shouldn't pay for premium so...I won't. From this day I'll gladly use my fast mount and spend 2 min extra to reach areas. Nice going BP.

We all know you need to make money to keep this circus going so here's some advice: if you want to make money, keep your customers (players) happy. Make them want to pay you. Do happy hours, gem sale etc...you have gotten that part right. If you want them to do everything in their power to work against you and hold on to their money then make them angry and make small EDIT surprices like this one.

 

When I realized that as a tank it was gonna take me forever to beat the bosses on the inferno map, not to mention running around most of the time waiting for my banner to cool down, I just died and left and threw away the second pass. That map is for p2w damage-dealers, not mostly-f2p tanks, I think.

 

If you are a dragonknight, you can equip a whole gear dps or maybe don't you have any and spam dragon's wrath and run.
The fight duration should be 2 3 times less than to try with full tank gear and nearly no damage at all.

For example, I have a full tank gear for khalys, red berseker, mortis or rares situations but with... 600 damage and no critical no critical damage, but tons of armor and life.
What do I do when I don't tank? I wear my 1260 damage 54% critical gear with 2 hands weapons, so I can do boss event faster...

 

That's good advice. I haven't built a DPS set yet, just use one gear set (3xKeen's + 3xDark) and my good legend shield (3 block rate, 1 block amount). I guess I could start with a good 2-H legend weapon and go from there. I could get Sargon's stuff one piece at a time and have the whole set, eventually. Then I'd have to add some more inventory space I guess. Hmm, thanks for the suggestion; something else I can do for my character

But, anyway, I'm straying off-topic. Let me try to get back on-topic and save this post from possible extinction by "Hand of Mod" ...

One other problem for me with doing the Inferno map is the purple/red essence consumption (it is almost mandatory, I think, if you don't want to spend an hour in there). I would rather use the reds and purples on Mortis or Destructor, bosses that will give me important drops (not optional drops). So that kind of made my decision to not do it as well.

I just completed the event. Everything went as expected. I’m on Agathon so didn’t have any connection issues. I got the pet and I’ve got one more portal to the nightmare part of the event.

The event rewards were just so-so. I’m just stockpiling cots and the orange gear was melted. I like the pet so I’ll keep him with my collection of pets.

The difficulty is fine for me and I was able to solo everything.

I have some suggestions for the next event.
*The piglets should do something like drop axes or viscanium.
*Have a higher difficulty map after the normal one that drops more pures like we had at Xmas so stronger players can have more of a challenge.
*I still have the old steed of truth mount from last year. Since most of us now have the hp pet, make a quest to upgrade the horse to an epic, viscanium horse or hide the parts to make one in the chest.

 

I like this event; you can get impure drops without doing the event which can be sold for a decent amount, which makes it worth playing even if you don't want to take part in the event proper. For me it's the CoTs and once they run out and you're playing for legendary gear I lose interest. I have a trunk full of legendary gear and not enough CoTs to use it. But then that's OK too because I have a load of different chars who all need to CoTs. As long as we can sell the impure for good money it's all good. (Frightened now that I've mentioned it that they'll down price it).

 

Irony. I had finished the event on my ranger, had about 1200 to go on my DK so instead of running the whole map like I had with my ranger and DK until I got burnt out on it, I decided to just run the 3 bosses for keys. Got over 3k pures from chest plus the pet in 2 hours time. Next time I will know better and just farm bosses to get it done real fast.

 

Oh wow, great idea. I ll try to remember that. Just bosses and go for the 400 drops in the chest. And maybe check every map for jullov, he is always in the same barrel, so if you re low on picks to get the 4th component for the key, keep jullov in mind.

 

This event is not bad. My F2P DK finished 34 rounds to get 4000 Pure Viscanium. It's time consuming to wipe all map. I'm lucky or unlucky with pet fragments (4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st) from 4 locked Dwarven chests I opened. But 5th chest is still pet fragment, I decided no more Dwarven chest. Three bosses are playable than last time. Event rewards are fine to me. My thanks to DSO team.
