The Moderators are given enough information to facilitate the discussion for this event, but this is a new experience for us all. The goal of this "Mystery" event is to encourage players to work together and discuss tactics to figure out how this event is structured.

Do you enjoy surprise events, such as this one?

Because this event is the first of its kind, any imbalances and feedback you leave will be taken into account when developing future Vanguard events.

 

What is imbalanced is most of us can't even DO the event as the event necessary NPC's are absent. And to create an event where a group of 5 basically just splits up to go sit in a spot on a map for 2+ hours before we get frustrated and consider other gaming options is a huge fail. Saw one person with a black dragon this morning on tegan, assuming it had to be an anonymous dev toon or BA toon, and that was it as far as seeing the event could be done lol.

 

Yes, I do acknowledge your feedback on very low Knight appearances. Hopefully this will be one of the adjustments.

 

Don't waste ur time to do this event...
The boss is too crazy, he hits me 6K-8K lol
If u don't have premium, just waste your anders to respawn.
And if another group stronger, you will not get anything.

 

+1 Denema. After waiting near a banner for about 10 minutes, and no Knight showed up, I decided this is not the "event" for me. I left and went to do more productive things. From everything I am hearing, that was probably a wise/insightful decision on my part (for once).

Yesterday evening, just before going off to work, i checked the forum and saw something about this event. So i took my mount and rode out to the temple sector. Found Tonioscha immediately and took the quests. But then? no idea. Logged out and left. Now checking other players reviews.... the event doesnt even seem worth spending time on. People getting one hit, knights being lvl 50? like ***! The black knights lvls arent even to proportion of its surrounding area lvl? or am i wrong? Takes way to long to kill him and anti kill steal doesnt seem to be working. Spawning rate is way too low. Hmmm, what else? Guess i decided already, i'm not even gonna spend time on this event. I'll just keep farming for my cloak.

 

i found one important thing ," if some one stays too close to the position of black knight , he wont respawn".
And for summon dragan , we need Black warhorn dropped from Black knight.

 

Got 5 black knight kills in amazingly tonight and 1 Dragan kill in. Dragan dropped a Shadow band part of emote suit...ME NO HAPPY ....black knights out of 5 got 1 quest item for mount, the egg oh and GREEN GEAR from chests...really?? green gear dso??? lots and lots of green gear, really not cool dso at all. Lvl 50 npc's and green crap,that makes it all seem pointless if we're not getting frags from chests or anything better.

In retrospect, it's much easier and cheaper to farm Mortis and Destructor than all the essence and andermant you waste doing this event. Keep your Onyx Dragon lol, at least we know whoever has one spent a ton of money getting it. Priorities are different for every gamer I guess.

Ok.

Surprise event is nice, but it can get realy hard when We (players) don't have the necessary information about event. Waiting for Black Knight is boring, I waited for 1 hour and he never appeared. So can you tell us, does the Black Knight respawn or do we need Black War Horn and how can we get it?

 

ok found about 9 or 10 knights and killed dragan 5 times, to say the least this is the worst idea for event since this game started. As for info I don't think it will respawn if u wait for it at one spot. U have to go out and in to start new instance of the map which is very tedious. After all the dying and ess u spend all u get is a lousy key for the chest that has 3 or more green gear. and if u are not premium just forget about it it's not for you. It is possible to finish it if u are extremely bored and have like 10-12 hours a day to spend here and tons of anders for ess. If they are actually planning to make future events like this , well, I for one will be ending my time here. The only thing that is remotely entertaining on dso other than pvp once in awhile are the repetitive events.
OH yeah for feedback, fire the guy who came up with this stupid idea!!!

 

I was unfortunate enough to enter at Misty Ridge twice this morning at instances where the chest was unopened and a dead player was on the spawning area. I had not been grouped at all with that player; the second time I entered the instance, which was more than an hr after I had logged out of the game, I was solo. It is bad enough that you have to be searching for instances to encounter the knight but even more ridiculous that you can not hope to find the knight if there is a dead body on the ground.

Edit: A guildie told me that player had had that instance open for the past 4 hrs. The game should have logged him out already. I have been logged out in under less once I am not playing.

 

What I think....

this is the Dev's attempt to start a 'server event'. Which would be quite possible with the new loot system in wilderness areas.

The problem is only, that the loot system doesn't seem to work properly and items get unrightfully stolen from kills. (as described earlier a group of 5 lost the loot to one ranger).

I think the goal was, not to send groups of 5 players with red essence etc at the Dark Knights... but instead to have a whole guild or several pitch in and attack it with 20/30 or more players... in which case even low level players in the lower areas could pitch in.

If everybody would then actually get the questdrop/key... it could have been great fun for everybody.

Alas, since the spawnrate is too low and the loot system isn't working properly the achieved effect is only frustration.

This is specualation on my part, but if this is actually the goal of this 'test-ish thing' it could prove to be quite fun in the future when it works properly.

Or I could just be wrong and think too much about a flunked idea from the dev's.

 

Can u please tell me what u got from dragon in 5times?
I want to know that so I kill dragan or not. I mean waste time on it or not. I heard that u can get sargon unics from dragan please tell me

 

waiting 2 hours and knight not come is not a event to ask for feedback if you want to enjoy reading feedback check out facebook page maybe 500 comment with insults from gamers its so clear we are happy
