Mentor bonus from R115

Hi... I read that from the patch notes:...

● Mentor Bonus:

Your character with the highest fame point and the highest level of knowledge is currently receiving the Mentor Bonus due to a mix up with the code. Enjoy the extra boost!

So is this temporary ? To be adjusted in hotfixes / R116 ?

 

I assume it's temporary, but hey, nice bonus right?

 

I would think (and hope) it's a permanent feature. It not only benefits the players but also helps BP's bottom line.

The whole thing first encourages players to developed their mentor and second create more toons (and possibly more accounts fore more toons.)

This helps the players keep interest in the game. Mostly by removing some of the grind for knowledge and fame. On the fame side it gives players incentive to keep up PvP even if they are getting dead a lot since the honor rewards are better.

For BP it helps them since more accounts and players keeps the game populated. And for those players that are P2P more accounts and toons means more revenue.

Anyway I guess we'll have to wait and see. I believe it's a good deal for all around.

no extra honor points, only knowledge which is locked by most of us.

 

I agree the extra honor points is currently a problem. But that is not because of the Mentor bonuses itself. Rather it is because of the massive abuses of gimmicks to gain honor that exist now.

If the dev's would fix these gimmicks then the honor bonus in the Mentor system would not be a problem.
