Every bot needs password and username so it can connect to your account. I can have 2K bots installed on my PC ... but if I don't give them permission to log in to my account ... they won't.
Same goes even if I play from someone else's computer.
So your excuse does not hold.

Does not need to have used the bot on that account for it to be banned.

It's highly possible BP would just search accounts which have been used at an IP address which has previously been identified as a botter

Well, that means you can start again and this time not share your account details with cheaters. You my not have broken the rules by using the bot, but you did break the rules by giving out your log in information. Because your log in details are private, you are responsible for anything that happens on your account if you share those private details. You made a mistake and benefited from cheating. Now you are paying for it. Deal with it like the 6000 others that thought they were above the rules and had the rude awakening that they were not special.
