Is afk farming ok?

I saw this DK toon on a corner and was left hitting and swinging continously in a tight corner (where mobs spawn). I ask him several times if he is there or not but no response. I asked again after 2 minutes and still no response and his toon keeps hitting and swinging and getting kills. He/She may not be using a bot program but isnt this a form of cheating? AFK farming?

 

how do you do that without using bot programmes?

 

using something to "clip" your attack botton? like rubber band or something I dont know..

 

lol i just joined the game (made an acc ages ago but never finished newbiezone) in other mmos i have played (mostly runescape) afk was allowed but those games your character auto attacked. seeing as in this your character doesn't auto attack well i would assume its not ok

 

Auto-attack is possible but I was also wondering if that's allowed.

I think its not forbiden, afterall you are not cheating in any way. But i dont see the point in that except for exp farm.

 

This can be done without a program or script. I doubt the game's rules specifically prevent a player from clipping their keys, so that type of farming should be OK. I believe that player knows how long it takes for drops to disappear and checks his computer regularly to pick up his drops. Pretty ingenious tbh.. leave it to lazy people to find shortcuts.

 

I have an recipe for legal AFK farm.
All you need is two main ingredients: bicycle and large brick.
Park your bicycle over your shift key and put large brick on the left mouse button.
That is it ... now you can go make some coffee or watch some movie.



I don't think that any other way is legal.
It is not possible in this situation to use more than 1 skill. For using more than 1 skill requires some script or software which is illegal.

EDIT: Or it may be other way for using two skills. You still need that bicycle for shift key but now you have to put your mouse under your grandma's/ grandpa's rocking chair. This way that chair is pressing left and right mouse buttons, and you can use two skills.

 

For afk farming all you need to do is hold shift and left click, drag your mouse to where it shows andermant etc and let go, your toon will shoot forever....was taught that in q4 and sigri hard. You can only use 1 skill and the only gain in this would be xp, it is slow and stupid(not recomended -.-) (looks at devs) you may want to fix it ...as for the littel dk doing it all he can get afk is xp, he cant collect anything

How is that working, if you are afk and continued fighting?.

 

No need to use bricks , press shift-left mouse button, move cursor on enemy and then on some item in your inv(while holding shift and left mouse button). Voila much better than bricks and bicycle. If that wont work for you.., then try Trakilaki's advice, it will work for sure.

 

You guys are splitting hairs. AFK is your computer working for you while you are not there. If a human is not playing, you are rolling the dice on T&C interpretation and the ill temper of someone looking to make an example of you to support. That is the thinnest of degrees removed from automation.

This is perfectly fine I believe as it doesn't really matter since all he can do is "kill". He/She isn't using any outside programs. Anyone can do it with enough brains+ there isn't much you can do with this method.

 

There might be a chance that person doesn't understand the language you're typing (if you asked in English, I'm guessing the player may not have the comprehension). I'm sort of like the same if someone PM to me in Cyrillic, Greek, German, or Portuguese.

Also, Cyrillic is a script (used by Russians, Serbs, Bulgarians...) while Greek, German and Portuguese are languages. Greek is written in Greek alphabet while German and Portuguese are in Latin script. Just felt like it had to be pointed out 8)

 

If it's a thick mod I'll find a corner so they don't come at me from different directions. And if I'm in the middle of a fight I don't respond until after. And if I don't know you I probably won't respond at all. Ever consider that?
