Like it except one thing, the main boss for it's color should drop 1/3 (333) of essence to, everything else is just fine by me.

 

Ok, so lets see... Those uniqe items are usseles (we cant even get a decent melt from them ), difficulty was ok, and duration is good too (but its doable in 1 day)... Well lets say that i played it only because i needed bit of drakens thats all.

 

Just want Jullov quest is all, darn thing is never there .

i thinked this is one helluva great event but whaaat ? was this creator bored or just lulz with his hemoroid chair ?

4 hours to complete event. red last boss is sucking essence..

dessert of essence ???? please explain wheres the essence ? no essence drop! just plain random blue as in common maps. i was pretty sure that this event drops essence.

and haaaaaaaaaaaa really rofl 10 moron realm fragments to enter moderate event map, to this shari map. pff this is stupid.

blackborg takes 7. it should be 5 cause its hard for some players. varholm should be 10 cause its really easy. but on event time moderate...

and storm the essence shari map should be 7 realm fragments to enter this map.



ime 100% sure that there is a lot of players who want to smack with belt this event creator EDIT.


ps: i still not see game progress about this thing,,,,, when player dies and re enter map the mob gets healt refilled. (in group)
and again please give us 1 week headsup when events starts. items, uniques what it gives. so we all can give you CORRECT feedback why and what should be changed. drakensang please try harder to please the players, your supporters..

 

This is based on reading up on the event and one run through the event map....in no particular order.

1. Event items not worth the bother - once again, the time spent is only worth the drakens.

2. Event map seems glitchy. I would get hung up on little things when moving.

3. Some german still remains - for using the amphoras.

4. I did like the difficulty. Yellow and reds made me work - running the map solo. (I like doing events solo, so the length of the event could be longer.)

5. More of a reflection of the new forums - found the event description earlier, but now it's not the "most recent" and so it is not shown any more.

6. Event quest reward of Potent (green) essence?!? Really?

7. Interesting how the Event FAQ does not mention the short time duration for the equipment or pet.... Picture of the event boots does not even short the timer as shown on the real even equipment.

8. Lastly, the river dance emote. Like the moonwalk are there no copyright issues here(especially with music)? Just a thought....

 

we killed the yellow boss but did not drop anything.. i thought it's a guaranteed drop? :/ wasted lots of anders for reviving just to kill that yellow boss.. i was so damn frustrated with it. tss

 

After many futile attempt to complete previous events, I finally ,for the first time, completed " Desert of Essences". However, I did not get the items as I was promised. I along with my friends killed Yellow boss but ,instead of getting a yellow unique drops as we were guaranteed, got a magic mystic items. I feel like I am tricked to buy a fake/fraudulent product.

 

green boss drop green unique

blue boss drop blue unique

purple boss drop purple unique

yellow boss drop 5 draken

Red boss drop legendary unique but hes strong and hit hard take care .

only items of red boss are worth using .

It is a "how to tank" video. Actually it is in german, but you dont need to speak german to understand how to tank that boss.

Hi, here's my feedback.

I would have suggested to make the event lenght for like 9 days, and event progression to 9000 or 12000, and to give away 1 legendary unique at the very end. Clearly, the event is doable, no essences with a 5 guys group from green mobs to hard red boss. That's pretty cool! I enjoyed the event, I'm okay to grind red mobs to have a chance to get a legendary, but if so, make the event lenght to 9 or 10 days !

 

Make the enemies respawn without leaving the area.

 

Liked:

• A lighter landscape compared to all the super dark ones. I could see!
• The difficulty zones. This was really great! It means every player had a chance at some type of run through. More of this please.

Disliked:

• Lack of clear explanation about the vouchers.
• Way, way, way too much to collect and carry around.
• Vortex costumes and dance.
  Not only pointless costumes, but annoying sound. Permanent and without the sound would have made them something at least.
  7 day consumables are an insult, and of course this time we simply got 5 stack... even less. Wow, great way to thank your players.
  
• Frustrating boss drops.
  As an average player (don't have money to pay for anders etc, but farm heavily beforehand) using up valuable purple essence on violet boss 3 times to only get the SAME gloves, is not only frustrating, but confirms that I should never try this part of events again. I only wanted the draken but thought I would try the boss again after getting the gloves. Two more gloves? NEVER again.
• Realm fragment requirement.
  Does BPO want players to take part in events? I had just done a chunk of blackborg so had used up a lot of frags, as did everyone I knew. And then a new event begins. Silly.
  But this has got to change, for all events. 7 frags to farm, okay, fine, but make it less to enter event.
  You want players in there, right? Why 10 for entry on this one? While your players could be in there enjoying the event they are desperately trying to farm frags which will never be enough before it ends. And let's just be clear - I play a lot and farm a lot, and I only just had enough to complete, and only because I did only a small portion of Blackborg. No, the average player will NOT buy frags.
• A hard boss (yellow) that doesn't drop gear?

Other points.
The Length was hard to gauge because it was perfect for draken, but for trying to collect the gear it's very short.
I think you guys tried to include too much. A simple essence event with permanent pets/costumes/dances, with possible unique drops would be just fine. A separate event for cool gear with guaranteed boss drops would be better.

Being an essence event, the bosses and even mini-bosses should have dropped some.

Overall I enjoyed it, as long as I forget the whole thing about trying for a gear set.

 

the event cost a lot of Relam Fragments , and on that way , the players who wants to finish desert of essance event , full moon event , new moon event they must spend whole month to make themselves willing to playing the events and finishing them . farming 10 days on PW for Relam Fragments then collect silver essance and Fairy wood , HELL noo and now its cost more Relam Fragments 7 each map access and Desert of Essance 10

we dont have to only pay to finish events or getting unique we must also pay to go event map .

Huge cost on Realm Fragments although not much entries are necessary to finish event, too much crystals in need to do event, took 1/3 of my entire inv just for ess pieces and cores...

Honestly ess spouts and ess vortex not very tempting rewards, but I admit i had fun doing this event always like something new, at least can't complain with time given to complete event nor it's difficulty, and I liked the draken quest in the end very much (jullov not so much same old ).

 

I had hope for DSO events after the last Sargon event. This event, however, was (IMO) a step in the wrong direction. It would have been OK except there was no incentive to do the event. The rewards were terrible. The only thing I wanted out of the event were essences, and I couldn't even earn many of those. I will stop at the red essence stack because there's no reason to go any further.

On a side note, I see why they changed the name from "Storm of Essences" to "Desert of Essences". The essences have all dried up from the event. Clever pun, or just coincidence? You be the judge...

I feel it's nice that the ess event has it's own map. No more groups camping out in wilderness areas.

But there was just too much busywork involved in this. Starting with the realm frag requirement and then gathering the pieces, yada, yada. And for what? Basically a few stacks of big ess. The gear set does nothing for me. A HP pet? Unless you have been asleep for the past month you should have 5% HP pets on all your toons that you want from the Dwarf Rally (I got 12 of those, lol.) Yes there is the Draken which is always nice but I can wait to get more in the events that I really enjoy.

In all fairness though I did not go into this with a very good mindset or give it a whole lot of effort. For me I find this game very playable with blue ess (which are free and available all the time.) So I only gave this a few hours then went back to recycling disposable dwarfs for black dyes

Personally, I found the Event very enjoyable, my faith in BP and DSO slowly returning. I especially liked the 'one size fits all' concept where nearly any player can enjoy the satisfaction and gratification of starting and finishing an Event. I like to think of it as scaling but in the players favor. The top players work a higher difficulty mode and naturally receive the better prizes. Playable by all compared to several other recent Events that were not playable for so many of us.
The Event wasn't without a few warts but very few things are.
