Droprate sargon hard

simple question : Is it worth to kill sargon on hard just because of it's suppossed increased droprate of uniques ?

I killed him 5 times on hard )> only green and blue items. On normal I got the weapon decoration one time and his cape several times.

So I'm wondering if it's worth killing him on hard, just for the unique drops, considering that it takes more essence to do so.

I killed him 3 or 4 times, don't remember now, and I got helmet and pauldrons. And it gives 500 shadows (maybe always). but I think droprate is bigger, because I got only 2 pauldrons and cape from about 15 runs in normal

 

Only did 10 or so kills so it is not reliable, but hard dropped better stuff most of the time.

 

killed him 6° time on hard -> nothing. takes 480 red to kill him on hard and only 200 red on normal.

... desperate ...

 

I got all set in one day, keep trying!

 

I agree with everyone i have been playing about 10 hours a day since the event started and have killed sargon a lot. I am basically in the same party of people and i have only one unique. Where as my friend have the entire sets and some items multiple times, this does not sound random to me. Even my friend Colberttw who is one bad nightmare ranger, doesn't even have all the sets where other much weaker players who have kill 10x less than him does. I just wonder how random is it

 

I've been working on the 999 Sargon kills and I am at 252... and in all that, I've not managed to get the powerful horns. I know people who got both the helm and shoulders in as little as 10 runs, but I've gotten the shoulder's twice, the weapon decoration 4 times, the cloak 4 time, Power of Heavens 5+ times, Shadow Boxing 20+ times, and the three parts of the costume more times than I care to remember. I have seen little to no difference between the drop rates for Normal VS Hard, but until I get my Helm, I'm running the hard map anyway just in case. After that time, I'll be just running normal to get up my kill count.

P.S. One good thing came out of all this though, I got the Ring of Inner Fortitude (From a normal monster, but who cares). Should be fun to play with sometime down the road.

 

I got more unique drops during hard kills. I got one unique on normal and four uniques on hard. Normal or hard, I don't use mighty essence to kill him; I only use green or blue light essences and I save all mighty essence for Destructor later.

On hard, Sargon does not always drop 500 shadows. Sometimes he drops 200.

Those are all my comments. Good luck to everyone who still needs/wants drops!

 

Yup, hard has a better drop rate. Normal gives shadowboxing. And then it gives more shadowboxing. And then.. you get the point.

 

Well if you want an unlucky one here it is! 15 normal sargons + 5 hard ones and I got 0 uniques, not even a cloak. 3 shadow boxing 14 pauldrons for costume and 3 helmet for costume. I gave up after that, decided not to waste my time doing Sargon on my other character or even continuing the event!

 

Unique drop chance is the same on hard and normal. I know players who got complete sets just on normal, I got 2/3 on normal weapon set, 3/3 poweful gear. Hard map gives you more shadows is the only difference, with the chance at getting a nice shadow drop from Sargon at the end. Don't waste essence farming for gear on hard if you don't have to.

 

I am very positive hard Sargon has a higher chance of drop rate. I think BP reported it somewhere. Some people in normal mode are just lucky!

 

Drop Rate of Normal is good as well this event was easy.

 

Well I got my set after 40 runs. Shoulders dropped already on normal. Then I got 2 hard portals from map 1 ... one gave me the shoulders again, the second one the horns.

So I got my gear in 2 consecutive runs ... ...

 

Congrats, i still cant get those darn horns, working so hard for them those last four days.. Countless runs on normal and maybe 15-6 on hard, without any luck.

 

Not countless for me. I started the 999 kills quest with 12 from previous Sargons. Now I am up to 324 meaning I've done 78 kills since I started this Sargon event... and still no %#@%! Horns! Then there are guys like this who have 10 from 999 kills. I am defying all laws of statistics by not getting these stupid horns.

EDIT: I am proof of 2 things in DSO. First, complain long enough and your luck seems to turn around. Second, never stop trying. The very next kill after I made this post I got my helmet. Go take a look at the "Show what you have" DK thread to see why I was so keen to get this set.

 

Well well... my dear bargain.... I took your advice and complained more to my friends, my real life friends, and even now here. I bet everything I have and fought another 3 hard modes and 20 normal modes and still not a SINGLE UNIQUE DROP. NOT EVEN A FREAKING DAMN CLOAK. EMOTES, COSTUMES, MORE EMOTES AND COSTUMES! DAMN IT I SHALL COMPLAIN MORE!

 

i`m like in your situation!i have over 30 rounds on sargon,7-8 i can say that i was on hard and no EDIT items from this set!i`m very dissapointed!i wish that this game end,to die .to...dont exist!how is that my friend got all set in 8 rounds on normal and me nothing?i dont understant!i`m so unlucky or what?

 

Welcome to my forum guild "Unlucky Ones"! Just chopped off Sargon's head in hard mode twice and normal thrice and all I see is shadowboxing and a freaking costume! Wasted my time running directly to Sargon rage quitting right after failing to get anything from him without clearing map! HAHAHA, now I'm out of essences and I don't even have coffee beans! YA, I guess I don't have to worry about not getting anything when I can't even fight Sargon anymore!

 

I tried your method with complaining, got me nowhere. I want another one!
