Terrifying Shadows: Dragan's Plan

This is good event, playable and exciting. 9000 shadows by farming 30 event map 1 (2 are unfinished because of network issue) and 8 event map 2. I find Shadowfort is more beautiful than before. I did not play event Map 2 last time. I killed Sargon 5 times with the Black Knight Horns from Dragan. It's much playable for me. I get Power of the Heavens, Shadow Minion Helmet, Cloak of Gloom, 4 improved items and Shadowboxing from Sagon, great! I craft my second Shadow Minion costume in this event.

Something not so good: 1) lag, If my DK rushes too fast and engage with a group of foes. Everything is jammed and out of control for one or two seconds. Opening inventory has the same problem. 2) no more mighty light essences from foes of event map 1?

Question: How can I complete old Sargon terrifying armor? I don't have Sargon's horns.

You can probably expect the faux weapon vendor Shady John to start carrying the old Sargon set and weapons in the future. Of course it will cost andermant and you have to assume it won't be cheap because all the gear he sells is over-priced for what it is. Don't expect Gnob to sell any Sargons gear, I think those of us who need a piece of the powerful set are stuck with what we have for a very long time. But remember, while the Sargon set, old and new is great for HP boost, it really lacks crit and in the game you need to build lots of crit up too. It boils down to sacrificing one for the other, and getting balanced gear is basically hit and miss with the best chances of achieving balance is still drop gear.

 

they Event length was more then ok. You could finish it in 2-3 days without paying so 1week+++good enough)

 

+: Maps where cool, progress was easy enough, rewards where pretty cool (pet, weopon, armor, gems, and no stupid bombs or temp items this time), loved the piglets as always, loved the quest for the keys, please give us that quest with other events as well.
-: Lag, lag, lag, lag, lag and more lag. I'm starting to think the team does this on purpose. Because lag gets many players killed. Killed players pay ander to revive or take premium. To a point sometimes even, where i lost 3 members of my team, cause they ran out of ander after dying from lag. But believe me, even with premium for free reviving, the event gets really really frustrating after dying so many times and spending more time running through the map then actually killing monsters. Why wasnt there a shortcut where we can jump to the end of the map? Why didnt we respawn at the door close to sargon? Not even when we died 1 inch away from it?
The 'meteor' ability from sargons 4th incarnation and from the mage miniboss. With sargon it was alway a onehit kill, with everyone i played with. And over 90% of the time the lag was the reason it was impossible to dodge that attack. The same counts from the nefertari miniboss. Way too powerful, lag makes it very hard to dodge. When you get hit, you loose 80% of your hp, then you re frozen and get hit with the nefertaris normal attack and die. Way to go BP. These attacks should be nerfed. Take into consideration that most players get their all resist from gems (mostly/only) and that the all resist often doesnt go much higher then 15-20%.
You gave the chestpiece for the costume as progress reward again. Why not make a change and give the helmet this time?

All in all i enjoyed the event. Just needs some little improvements.

 

I enjoyed the event very well thank you BP. But why are the new sargon's gears not stacking with the old ones? I already have a complete sargon's set (level40s) prior to this event and I got the pauldrons at level 45. I tried it with my other old set (horn and torso) but the old set doesnt recognize it, so no set bonus. I switched and tried the level 45 torso from the prize with my 2 old ones (horn and pauldron originally 40 but now 45) but the same thing happened.... no set bonus and the old ones dont recognize it. Will there be a fix for this?

 

One set bonus is the "Sargon's Terrifying Armor." The other is "Sargon's Powerful Terror Armor." While the sets may have the same bonuses stats wise, they are totally different sets. It is the same as the two versions that existed for the Witch Hunter set so I doubt that they will ever mix.

 

Items that start out level 40 and items that start out level 45 are not part of the same set, and were never intended to be so. Raising level 40 pieces to level 45 with Glyphs of Power does not change their set of origin. Sorry.

 

Do I just destroy my light essence? I didn't have time to do the event because of Easter and stuff. Will they repeat the events at some point in the near or far future?

 

I'm holding on to the blues and reds because they will help in the future or they will be useful as high damage essence if they turn out to be obsolete.
