Best choice for head,shoulder,chest

Hey just wanted to hear peoples thoughts on the ideal 3 piece combo for DK

Comment on your rationale and how would u combine with different gear.
(I understand all these are potential with the right set up, just want to see a general consensus or at least favourite among the community)

Of course, much of it is based on a player's other items, but here goes my top 3 and my reasoning.

Comming in at number one... I use the 3 Powerful Sargon items. I love the set. It has massive HP (which is what my build is currently built around), high damage for RHS items, attack speed, HP regen, and even a decent amount of armor. I couldn't care less about the andermagic resistance, but it is a nice perk when I am working on PoS. The one thing I wish it had was Crit.

My next choice would be the 3 pieces of the Witch set, Old or new. The old with nice stats would be acceptable, but I was unwilling to pay the CoTs needed to try and find OK ones. The new set would be good too, but I've had no luck at all, despite farming like crazy. The only uniques I've gotten from the spider since the change have been the weapon. Well, on to why I would like that set. I play 2H and those damage percentages are huge when you consider that my low end base damage is over 1000 and my high end is over 1450. The new set as a whole has awesome crit and amazing upper damage (again, if you get a good set... darn stupid random values) and even a great amount of attack speed and even a decent amount of resistance. The down side is that you need to have nice gems to balance the fact that the armor and HP are awful on the set... it is great for a glass cannon SW, but you have to be a lucky/well gemed DK to be able to pull it off without being too squishy. It all comes down to those random values and you cannot bank on random, therefore, this set comes in second for me.

Third would be the 2-Dark and the Helmet of Death. That stupid unique will never drop for me, But I will never stop trying. This combo would have damage that would be comparable to the Sargon items (depending on how leveled up the helm is) and would have decent HP (again dependent on how upgraded the helm is), but it would have the thing that the Sargon items are missing most and that is it's 350+ Crit (depending on if you have the boots or gloves in use and if you have upgraded the Dark Heart or Pauldrons). The other considerations when comparing it to the Sargon items would be the nice armor compared to Sargon's vs the loss of HP, HP regen, and 5% attack speed.

Finally, I believe that there is an option you didn't think to include. If you are not concerned with the offensive stats offered by the above sets or have no luck in getting them, you can always turn to upgraded low level legendaries. Before I managed to get the Sargon items, I used a low level legendary set of shoulders and a low level legendary head band. Each of them had about 300 armor and 600 HP at LVL 40. These were far from perfect too. A near perfect low level legendary piece of armor could easily have +400 armor and +800 HP at LVL 45 if you were willing to put the time into farming the Glyphs to make it happen. Also, the other nice thing about them is that if you make a new one that would have better stats when leveled up, you can just melt the old ones and immediately upgrade the new ones with no losses (I did this multiple times in my search for better low level legendaries).

 

Definetly its will be new wich hunter set ( and i get lucky on first run to get set on max. stats and i love it) second will be sargon set what i have but dont juse- becose i lose everithing only winn litle hp... so after will be nice combinacion from ded mask ( what i still cant get) with some 2 ather items can be from dark set or i have 2 ather good items in maind:

 

Interesting point on the low level RHS Baragain, good to make an uber-tank lol just a lot of effort to max out those 3 however.
Personally since i use a shield i dont need as much hp, so id rather attack %'s of the witch set .. ofc death mask would be nice to have in the bank also lol.. for which i'll be ever-farming :s

 

For my sw i use 3 sargon, dark gloves, trying to get roshans boots(have belt) all left side trying to be dmg and crit, gives good overall character

OH WAIT! I know why we don't include this one! The amount of luck it would take to have both Mortis' helm and Dustructor's breastplate is next to impossible! Still, a DK can dream, right?

Personally, for 1h pvp DK some of my combo are
Mortis helm+ destructor plate+ red ess pauldrons
Sargon top 3 for tank DK
The "new" new moon set, old new moon is terrible for DK to have such a big range.
Dark x3 also works well with nice shield and high level hp gems and a cloaked wrath (although you gotta buff some dmg with left side gears).

 

IMO nothing beats helmet of death!
I would combine it with witchchaser breastplate(old one) if i had it in a nice version, and dark pouldrons or ess pouldrons, depending on wether i need crit or not.

Personally i really don´t like the new newmoon-set. If you are heavy P2P/P2W(with sick gems to give hp and armor) it is very good, but if not, then the lack of armor/hp is too heavy.

 

Let's be realistic here. The only attainable 3 piece combo set with guaranteed stats and are actually useful is the Keens set. Witch gear? Good luck with that melt, random stats, bah. Same with Wolf gear. It's all hit and miss and 90% of the time it is miss. Sargon set? Decent HP boost but no crit and crit is key to game.
My current end game DK build is legendary lvl 45 obsidian steel helm because it came with over 400 HP on it plus a crit boost. I use Sargon's powerful torso and shoulders for now, have lvl 40 legendary soldier torso that will give me 700 hp at lvl 45 if I ever get the 22 mil glyphs to upgrade it. Keens set of course for boots, belt and gloves upgraded to lvl 45 right now. Have Mortis amulet in use right now and with lvl 46 Ring of Life I'm at 10980 HP and 3100 Armor. Will trade Ring of Life out for another Ring of Death as soon as I get the quest done and run 2 damage rings as I can afford the HP loss. Will use Tearholder as soon as Gnob comes in place of the 2nd Ring of Death to boost damage and attack speed temporarily then locker it until I have enough draken to finish that set and see how the stats affect my build.
Good luck on Mortis gear, all of it. If I had the Helmet I would use it. And Destructor gear, too expensive to farm him so I personally never think about his drops.
You'll find that you actually need to mix and match gear to build the perfect set. There is no easily attainable perfect set out there complete, just one darn good one and that is Keens/Roshans/Yachaks.
Yes, I play a hodge podge DK but it's durable and strong and can tank with ease any Boss in game and not worry about dying in the process as long as I play smart. I don't have to run away from a fight and do not have to equip health pots on my hotbar to stay alive. So all in all my DK build for now is actually pretty darn good.

Hmm Im starting to wonder about the destructor curiass now..
At lvl 48/49 deathmask-ammon shoulder-curiass, roughly (without knowledge bonuses):
1400+ armor
1600+ hp
10% attack speed
95-100+dmg

Now this is pretty epic, of course provided you have worked in low level grim and have an abundance of crit on the left hand side (preferably 45-50% worth)

A lesser option to this build would be the sargon set perhaps.

Replace ammon shoulder with dark shoulder:
1100+armor
1300+hp
10% attack speed
75 dmg
300-350 crit value
----------
Seems like a new goal for me to replace witch set later maybe, we'll see how luck goes lol

An alternative to curiass could be dark heart, if u want some crit and armor instead of hp and speed.. or even old witch chest if u have it, basically dmg vs speed, the other stats are similar

 

What now with Dragan set?...

witch jerking now has random stats, so may be you get -10% min dmg and +10% max dmg average... may be it can be discarded because that...
