Hi guys, I've come up with this idea, I hope you'll like it:

let's establish an in-game 'autority' called the game masters*, a crew of special players with a limited set of abilities designed to help users, they could be bigpoint's employees or volunteers.
    * of course this isn't anything new but drakensang still misses it and forum or support assistance is not even comparable

To prevent abuse of power** they'd be granted only the following powers:
    - ability instantly reach the player in need or summon him to a safe place
    - ability to apply well-known fixes (such as quest errors or being frozen in the map)
    - ability to speak with the entire server (the orange text)
    - ability to return lost items
    - colored name or distinguished appearance e.g looking like Mortis
    - unability to gain xp and honor
    ... and the like

the game already features the full-fledged ACP* and more, a subset of this wouldn't be hard to deploy in no time

at least 4 people per country would suffice

    *anti-comfort protocol ? :p naaaa
** :D:mad: know what it means

each GM must feature extensive in-game knowledge to be able to help other players

You are aware that they need like weeks to fix some errors, how do you expect that in game admins/dev's(whatever) do that when servers are running? hocuspocus errors begone? "Summoning to the safe place" what the..

fixes: i mean like 'i cannot deliver my cloak quest even if i met all the requirements'*** or the errors in the mortis saga, each time you filled in a form and prayed for God's benevolence - once enough prayers were collected holy fingers accessed the ACP and restored love&peace

*** and the like which occurred thousands times if you played long enough, you'll surely remember that, and also 'i trashed my Cloaked Wrath ', 'the andermants purchased not being credited for'

    summon:
    a city for example
yes stuck people can use recall or disconnect, but sometimes this is not viable
long ago recall, didnt even exist, just for example, younger players may haven't unlocked that and so on
yet in this context summon 's been reported as an alternative to worldwide teleport NOT explicitily to fix stuckness

and whatever the case having in-game assistants is way faster then spending days waiting for support to reply or beg someone to answer at forum place
you should agree that and under some circumstances may be easier to explain a problem in-game than outside

i'm also pretty sure that many existing forum mods would appreciate to be granted god-like chars  thus also shortening the time for recruit fresh-men at least to start this crew

last but not least if your concern is 'will this idea steal time to some more important stuff'

the answer is no, all the resources to build this are readily available, it's just a matter of saying YES enable this or NO be conservative

    thank you for reply Sir
yet not only i already talked about support (and forum) and the like
but please note that i'm referring to something very, very different

in very short terms i'm speaking of characters driven by humans you can meet and chat within the game itself, just like normal players but with the power (and the duty) to help you, that offer a service far better than any forum or mailing support pals no matter how they could strive to

to put it another way one thing is a mailing 'customer care'
totally different is the possibility to have someone you can call and he comes right to your place, if the former helps me i'll rate him 5/10, if the latter comes, even if he doesnt solves the issues he still deserves 6/10 :) this is one quick way to explain how much '''is different'''

not to mention many mods are players... and usually delay answers because they... are playing why is too hard to get this can be 'merged' at no cost, which is mutually beneficial

i'd also like to remember that long ago a chance opened for game chat moderators (human driven) to appear, yet that remained a virtual feature (someone would swear they are there but... yet nobody proven their very existence ), even though they would only have the duty to suppress vulgar sentences and protect players from being lured

In my opinion having too much God(like) characters is not good for the game.
And since all humans are corrupt, our
    could turn to hate&unrest.

On the the other hand, IF this would be implemented, I don't see anyone doing it but BP employees.

    i agree

    and i also said

with the power listed you can't really harm the world
the only really potentially dangerous thing is the 'return lost item' but there are plenty of no-brainer ways to set risk to 0 :)

btw as long as you like my idea it makes me really happy

  8. The whole purpose of Support is to do all these functions. The difference is that the Support system logs incidents allowing them to look at history or trends. This idea of yours sounds like a member of the support team in game and the only thing I see happening with that is everyone talking nonstop to them trying to get free stuff. The Support system is implemented the way it is for a reason and I don't see this happening. While we welcome the sharing of ideas, this one would cause too many problems, I'm sorry.

    What I have said:
    meaning :

skilled volunteers already have their characters to play. Why would they want to do such a demanding, responsible and unrewarding duty for the "love of the community" while neglecting their own characters.
And if they do get "$$compensated$$" they are not volunteers anymore.

    Me speaking of $$compensation$$ proves
    :)
