question about Weapons of the End of Time

hi all

i was wondering since the quest is doable from 30 to 45 lv
if i started it at (for example) 40 lv i gather all the fragments but i go to complete it at 45 lv, for what lv is going to be the weapon? for 40 (the lv i took the quest) or 45 lv (the lv i complete it)

The weapon will be on the same level as you are in the time you are taking the quest.
If you take it on level 40 and finish it on level 45 ... the weapon will be level 40.

It's on the level that you have if you finish it.
At least it was like that with my Q1 ring on my mage

The reward will match your level when you complete the quest. This is the same with all parallel world quest rewards (Ammon's items... gloves, boots, etc).

Well it wasn't the case with my DK.
I took the quest for ring of life at level 36 and when I have finished it I was level 37 and took a level 36 ring.
I will test it again on my SW level 35. Quest taken at level 35. Now only need to level up.

 

My friend just tested this for you. Got the item as the level he turned it in, not when he took quest.

 

Hmmm. I will test it anyway. I have made screens before ... and will make screens after I will level up.

 

Maybe there was a short period when there was a bug after the PWs were re-worked. Imagine that, bugs in this game? Nah... couldn't be

 

Yes I have finished the quest with my DK in that period.
I play a lot of characters from level 1 and doing quests until i come to point when leveling is not so much fun ... so i create another one (if you know what I mean).
But never play parallel worlds with them ... because they are waste of time ... and why would I need those items when I will start new toon after.
Now that I took Q1 (quest for "ring of life") I have leveled my SW ... and indeed now ring of life is changing level as soon you are leveling up. Which wasn't the case with my DK back then.
So I won't be posting my screens ... since I got nothing to prove.

 

I know what you mean. Ammon's gear is not really desirable (except the rings if you get good ones), especially in the situation you described. It's more temporary, until something better can be acquired.

For all the work that has to be done, and (especially) with the new (bad) set bonuses, if I was making a new character I would probably skip PWs completely too.

 

BP really should consider tweaking the set bonuses. That would be a doable fix that wouldn't involve tweaking the base stats.

 

Yep, that stuff needs better set bonus to be anywhere near end-game capable.

 

The quest, "Weapons of the end of time", is all but un~doable for a free to pay player who rose up through the ranks doing PvE instead of PvP on a Dragon Knight.
I am sure that one of the paying players will have a smartalec comment on this. But that opinion does't really count because that player didn't level thier character under the same set of standards as (Free to Play). They got free Identification to all magical, rare and extraordinary. They finally had to use thier andermant to I.D.. uniques and legendary. The (f to P) side doesn't have that little option and that option in itself is enough to majorly affect the quality of play... (F to P's) are always broke from identifying the few rare and extraodinary drops they get and usually have to take what they get, good or bad, mostly bad ... for instance, before I hit level 40 I had 1 unique drop, a level 1 helmet, since I hit level 40, I have had 2 unique drops, neither of which I could afford to ID (at 1500 andermant a pop), so they both became melted glyph fodder for upgrading items. At level 40 I die quite often while in the PW and only have a few of the items needed for the quest so honestly figure I will get bored with the game due to continually dying shortly and will become one of the "I used to play" people.

I understand that its an online game, and people need to get paid and to keep the servers running but if you do the math ... $12+ a month x 12 months = roughly $150.00 a year ... really? 150 a year? Be it a good game, it is still based on the DiabloII operating format and the true amount of work involved with the rescripting of characters, items and backgrounds was small ... I would say that although they are making money, the powers that be, that oversee the game would and could make a shiftload more money by significantly lowering thier fees to oh say $5.00 a month and doing a little more online advertising in the correct venues with killer 30 second antimated gameplay commercials that leave the viewer running to google to look up the site. I had never heard of the game before I stumbled across it while looking for something else.

I have only read the forums about as many times as they have had maint in the >2 months I have been playing. In that time period I have read several people state through posts, what they thought would make the game better ... Well I have not been playing that long but I can tell you what would make the game alot better, fewer rude individuals running around calling everyone that is not an all mighty level 45, a "noob". If someone asks a question and you are not going to reply in some helpful manner ... EDIT... No one but you wants to hear your crapola.

Off topic: (all three of us) but true. I find that, in general, people who respect/admire animals are often like animals (in a good way): emotionally honest.

On topic: Someday, maybe, BP will rethink the whole travesty that is the current Ammon's set and the End Time Weapon. They're junk compared to how much work you have to do to get them. Almost no one keeps them once they realize there are much better legendary/unique items and sets they can have. There are much worse problems in the game that need to be solved before that, though (bugs, bugs, bugs).

EDIT - Maybe I'm being a little harsh on the Ammon's stuff. I suppose they're OK for intermediate-level players who just reached level 45 or so. It's not suitable for end-game, though, and it takes too long to get because of that fact. Maybe they could just raise the frag drop frequency in the PWs, thought that may make people who worked hard in PWs kind of upset.

 

You are perfectly correct. Ammon's set and end time weapon is totally not worth the effort. Even if I get max stats for everything, I won't use it. By the time someone is strong enough to finish PoS quest, he/she will probably have much better gear already!
