While there was a lot of talk about farming Grimmagstone, I ran a little statistic on rings, for a laugh

Just keep in mind how many times you actually see TWO "+ damage" on blue rings (it does happen, but not that much).

A ring can have Damage, % Critical, Reisistance, HP, Armor, or Critical Hit Rate. That means SIX possible enchantment types.

Since the two enchatments on a blue (Magic) item are independent, that means 1 in 36 chances of getting two damage bonuses (if and only if all enchantments are treated with the same probability, which is NOT a given).

3 damage bonuses on an Extraordinary (pink) is 1 in 216.
    4 on a legendary (orange) is 1 in 1,296

Although getting 3 damage enchantments on a Legendary is roughly 1 in 216 (if memory serves).

CoTs to ID a Legenday of level 6: 160

Number of rings, on average, per Grimmagstone run: 1 Improved per run
So 16 runs to craft a Legendary.

So this was hardly a given to achieve, expensive in time, CoT, and then Glyphs.

But, they (the devs) killed it!

    Hi XZarnak,

They did that to prevent the F2P of becoming too strong and kill P2P in the arena.
And in a near future, you can count on more negative changes towards the F2P.

Like i said in other threads, if this continues many in the future will leave, myself include or just play with low lvl and nothing more.

The future for F2P...is a dark one!!!
Only when its too late, will the dev team try to do something....!!!

It needs more time to craft/pickup low level items in My DK's farming record.

    necklace
    L E M I
    1 2 2 3 140 rounds R126
    0 2 0 0 60 rounds R127
    0 1 2 2 10 rounds R128

    teeth
    2 0 2 2 140 rounds R126
    0 3 1 1 60 rounds R127
    0 0 2 0 10 rounds R128

    ring
    3 1 3 1 140 rounds R126
    2 0 3 0 60 rounds R127
    0 0 3 0 10 rounds R128

I did not count the rounds when R122 and R125.

5 necklaces, 7 teeth and 14 rings were identified in total. Farming Grimmagstone is boring with little fun. Now my little fun is gone.

Wow... Kudos on keeping exact records...

And OUCH, that is clearly a steep decline, and takes a bite out of us all

hmmm, can you even get a green level 6 ring on swerdfield pastures and then combine them with rings from other dungeon maps (cata/crypt) normal. With the single level 6 in the mix you should be able to get a low level legendary.

You need to be careful though because if the other ring is too high, it can pull the resulting level up. You would be better mixing the rings with rings from Grotto, but that would only work for things like rings and weapon decorations which are already LVL 6 and 8 respectively. Otherwise, you would want LVL 1-4 items for your RHS items which would only be obtainable with some very talented and selective crafting with a little bit of luck thrown in for good measure.

Isn't that the truth of the matter

With the disappearance of our access to Grimmagstone, lvl 6 rings farming has vanished

Yes. You absolutely can get a level 6 green ring in Swerfield.

As a rule, I don't farm. Curiousity got the better of me and I ventured into Swerfield for about 20 minutes. I tried the Mini-Boss Witch and Mini-Boss Deer. Their levels were too high to get a level 6 ring. But, here is the kicker, the regular mobs do drop green level 6 items. In the 20 items I collected, they ranged from level 2 to level 9. I had one level 6 ring in that 20 minute run. I'm sure others already know this but I just wanted to confirm that you can get a level 6 green ring. Now, the task of collecting and target crafting this to anything in the pink or legendary range is way beyond my patience.

As with any open area, I try to be respectful to others that are at the approrpiate level for that map and may be questing. In other words, yield to the lower level player needing the kill so they can do their quests.

    Good Luck Durians.

I don't know for you guys ... but now I have my own dungeon.
It is even better than Grimmagstone map ... because the monsters are respawning and you don't need to reenter the map. :)
That map is called Swerdfield Pastures. :)
Some of you would say "that is not an dungeon" ... hmm well it is. I was farming for amulet few days ago (no PVP on) and since I entered the map ... the messages like "noob" start arriving. And in 5 minutes everyone were gone from the map.
I was all alone. Yeaaahhh :)
I could farm without bothering other low level players.
And I am sure those messages were not meant for me...probably for the devs. :D

You have incredible patience to farm for target crafting. The combines alone would be Clock Work Orange torture. Good luck.

You could try dragging down your target ring levels by combining your low 6 Swerfield rings with your Groto Rings. As you know, the crafting bench has a big bias to drag down values when presented with dissimilar levels. That might save you some time since the mini boss witches drop more reliably.

Only one low level green (or better) item is needed for crafting low level legendary item. So ... you can collect other items in Grotto or Catacombs/Crypt. (depending what is the target item)

True....but, now you get many mid low lvl items, like belts lvl 4/5 that say "NONAME" or staffs lvl 5 "DO NOT TRANSLATE"

I was just recently able to farm a level 6 legendary signet ring (but the attributes were not to my liking, being 1x +1 dam, 1x crit, and 2x armor. You can mix in some level 6s from swerdfield with level 7s from grotto, just watch out for the level 13 rings that do drop in grotto when crafting.

You can also gamble a little and throw in the odd level 3 or 4 swerdfield green item when crafting to pull down the ring levels, I think i used a pair of level 3 green boots because 4x speed boots are also one of my target low level items.

    --MERGED--

I just did the low level thing again, this time with level 8 teeth. I ended up get 4x +2 damage plus 3 slots. It only ended up at about +65 damage at level 45 (I think level 8 the range for damage on teeth is +1 to +3), and did not suit my character, so I melted it (in retrospect, probably should have stashed it).
