    Hi all,

    With the three defensive gems amethysis = purple HP
    Cyanite = cyan armour
    Diamond = resisitance
    What combination do people use is my maths correct that amethysis have a bigger benefit than Cyanite..... how do people tend to use these gems 30/30/30

    any info or help much appreciated

    I tend to mostly prefer hp and resistance gems. That heing said, nearly every polished gem including armor gems is being used (except onyxs).

    Try to limit cyanites to one item worth of slots, they're the least useful in my experience. As for diamonds, go with a few items worth, I'd say two or three, and fill the rest with amethysts.
    As far as offensive gems go, I use only rubies and sapphires but am holding on to onyxes in case favorable changes come along, they take up only a bit of space anyways.

    I definitely disagree Spiro. Onyxes are a waste of gem space. Damage and speed are more profitable than 40+ CD.

    Just my opinion though

    That's what I sad 8)
    The "I'm holding on to onyxes" part means that I'm not trashing/selling or using them in my gear, but keeping them in Kobold's stash.
    Maybe if somebody has really really bad critical rate, an onyx or two could be useful.

    Like everything else when comparing gear, it depends on what your charachter need.
    You should start getting a fair amount of resistance, if you have too low resist, it is an annoying weekness. If you play mostly PVE, around 500 resist would be enough IMO.
    But if you are playing PVP a lot, then it is hard to live with anything lower than 700-800.

    When it comes to cyanites vs amethysts, it is just about what you need.
    If you get a lot of HP from your gear, then use cyanites to compensate for the low armor, likewise, if you have high armor but low HP from gear, compensate with amethysts.
    As far as i know, getting armor from gear and HP from gems is the most used combination(im also using that setup) and the most profitable.

    When it comes to attack-gems, i recommend 5 sapphires in the trophy along with 5 rubies in the weapon itself. But if you are a DPI/DPS player, then all-in sapphires in both can benefit, if you can boost the dmg from the other gear(best working for mages as far as i have seen).

    GL!

    that i agree with i have full onyx and all in locker, but rubys i love, have a lot of em and the speed gems are all over in locker and all, if i had more slots in gear they would be there to with the others

    As for the defensive gems, I put resistance gems on all the left side equipments ( 4 items), health gems on 3 upper right equipments, and armor gems on 3 lower right equipments.

    So the ratio is 4 diamond: 3 amethyst: 3 cyanite, given that all the item slots' number are the same

    For now i find this quite helpful as my armor is very low for my level, but i have planned in converting 1-2 cyanite holders into amethyst in later game if my right side items get better.
