Redirection fever

Hi,

Just created an account for the first time and I'm extremely frustrated.

2 out of 3 refreshes I receive the error message "Failed to contact the Server", the undersea cable is probably malfunctioning, this is not your fault nor your concern, however it does explain why the thin client WILL NOT WORK for me atm (and I have tried).

The thin client is not robust, it doesnt catch exceptions, it doesn't run heuristics on packets and this is OK. 3/4 of the reason why it IS faster is because it doesn't do these things, however a good browser does. Therefore I need to run the game through the browser .... simple enough??? Apparently NOT.

I run firefox addons like addblocker, I need 30s after the applet page loads to click on the window and and chose the "allow" option and this is impossible. As soon as the page determines that it doesn't have permission ..... IT AUTO-REDIRECTS TO THIN CLIENT DOWNLOAD. Tell me: how are people supposed to copy/paste the URL into an exception list if they are never allowed to see the URL???

Login -> AUTO-REDIRECTS TO THIN CLIENT DOWNLOAD
Click Forum -> AUTO-REDIRECTS TO THIN CLIENT DOWNLOAD
Click Play -> AUTO-REDIRECTS TO THIN CLIENT DOWNLOAD
Create account -> AUTO-REDIRECTS TO THIN CLIENT DOWNLOAD (this one actually makes sense)
Change server -> AUTO-REDIRECTS TO THIN CLIENT DOWNLOAD
Pick my nose -> AUTO-REDIRECTS TO THIN CLIENT DOWNLOAD
I haven't clicked everywhere but based on current experience, I'm pretty sure this happens in many other locations tooo.

I understand that you're excited about the thin client but is that any reason why EVERY EFFING PAGE AUTOMATICALLY REDIRECTS TO THIN CLIENT DOWNLOAD???????

Will you please take the Auto-redirect Code-Monkey out of the office, feed him bananas and create a more flexible environment for your users that doesn't assume everyone does everything in exactly the same way and that there is only one correct way, while he isn't looking?

 

I had this problem too when i tried to play on my new computer,but it works without downloading on my old computer still.
