My Dragon knight is level 38 and I have equipped it with all legendary gear between levels 34-38. Yet, when I play PvP matches, I score the lowest, I get killed in 3-4 shots by Spellweavers, same with Rangers, 2 focused shots is all they need to bring me down.

Just today, I was face to face fighting with another DK, and I wasn't able to make a dent on him and he ripped me apart faster than I could blink.

    I am disappointed and confused.

How do they do that? Why am I not been able to resist a decent amount damage yet to make damage to them?

My health is 4700+, armor 1700+ and resistances 1400+

    Not enough information here.

what's your speed like on your boots? Also, what's your pvp/fame level, and what's the fame level or identifier (i.e, centurion, koto, flag bearer, marshal) of the people killing you? Did you pick the faster speed pvp talent on the fame tree? If you're a dk and you did not pick the faster travel speed fame talent, don't have over 10% speed on your boots (or other gear), are not at least level 30 on the fame tree and at the level 30 cap on the knowledge tree, you are going to have problems.

A lot of people in the non-level 45 pvp game just focus on playing low level pvp, and everything is maxed out for that. Each level of fame gets you 1% extra damage dealt and 1% less damage taken in pvp, so if you are level 5 and they are level 40 in the fame tree that is the match right there.

Thanks. That could be it. I started my DK a long time ago and was absent for a while, so I don't have much knowledge and my PvP fame is very low. My boots do not have a +speed attribute. Should I focus on trying to find a boots with a speed attribute? I used to have one, but I thought armor was better and replaced it with what I am wearing now.

Well, this is exactly the same problem with my level 43 DK too. I am at level 5-6 at Fame tree (PvP). How shall I improve my Fame level now as now I am getting player in PvP who are stronger or at better position than me in the tree? I keep getting killed in few shots. :(:(

Considering the twinking, my advice is build your char to the best it can be before considering pvp. Going about it at lvl 40 will be long a rough. But if you continue farming and getting the best gear you can, you'll breeze through pvp at the end. I know alot of ppl who hardly pvp and have awesome chars. Farm, it's envitable.

Find a similar level and pvp fame friend and reg for 1v1's. Trust me there are plenty of peeps that want to gain a few levels that are just starting out. If you are the same you will get matched in 1v1's before being put against someone much higher. Trade kills and practice skills. You can get through the first 15 or 20 levels easily depending on how much time you want to invest before you move on to other PVP types.

Get a few people from your guild where you guies are all about the same level. Head to the arena (when no one else is there) practice strategy, learn how to change your tree settings, see what works best in pvp. Have fun killing each other.

When low pvp lvl best to go for 1v1 because u get battles quite often and most likely to get someone close to ur pvp lvl. When u boost rank u can hit other arenas, also mind the stats:)

PvP has its own learning curve. Mid-level players have the roughest time, because the are grouped with very experienced players and Noobs at the same time; the teamwork and common knowledge has lots of troubles. What got you there won't keep you there.

The levels of gear and gems can vary a lot. Players with years of experience or lots of $$ can find the gear to match a style of play. Unique sets definitely help.

Some have massive amounts of speed and damage, and can play well, despite having little defensive armor or health points. Many good DK's at your level have at least twice your stats; some have much, much more.

You can try playing at different times, to find opponents that match your level. School and work patterns influence who plays when. The server is more concerned with finding enough people to fill a team, than how evenly matched they all are.

    Good hunting.

you're never going to have a good time in lvl 40-45 pvp, because the pvp system is broken at max lvl.
this is why so many people stay lvl 30 or below, lvl 40-45 is full of people that have played years and/or have spent 1000's on there char.
and it dose not seem to matter if you're pvp rank 1 or 20, you still face end game max pvp fame players.

    Makes sense. Thanks guys.

I did some calculation and with a +30% damage from the full Knowledge tree and on top of that a +40% damage from full fame means 182% total damage than someone with 0 knowledge and 0 fame and when you consider the 40% damage reduction (which places damage at 60%), and on top of that 30% more health makes someone at the top of Knowledge/Fame trees to be a whopping 4-5 times more powerful than someone with same gear at low Knowledge/Fame.

No wonder I can't stand against a high Fame player.

Yep, you got it. You figured out some stuff some players take a long time to figure. It takes a really long time to develop an end-game character in this game, unless you're willing to pay a lot of money. Even then, you can't buy everything with money. (PvP ranks are one thing they haven't sold, yet, but they are selling knowledge books now.)

Just a note of appreciation and kudos to all in this thread. A multi-day conversation on PVP that doesn't become toxic is rare. Helped an obviously smart guy get more game savvy. Well done.
