Please post in this thread your comments regarding Defeat the Undefeatables Event. Positive or negative, constructive criticism and ideas for improvements are, as always, welcomed. Please keep discussions on topic.

My take .... I have felt since the very first DtU, it isnt fair that some bosses are in rooms by themselves, where the player can go in kill, come out and turn around and go right back in again (i.e. Herald, Gorga, Sigris etc etc) And some bosses you have to cut through some or most of a dungeon just to get to the boss once. (i.e. Herdur, Ragana, Medusa. etc. etc.) To balance things and make it fair, free passes to the bosses areas should come with the event. This way everyone gets a chance to go as far as they can killing the so called Undefeatable bosses, which is what the event is supposed to be about... right? instead of wasting most of their time in event just trying to get the bosses.

It is kinda upsetting that player whose lvls below 40 can not complete the event and go to the harder maps,some lvl 35s are strong enough to do these maps..

got in finally, went to circus monster place killed arachna and got nothing. i thought the line · Every Warrior drops one ingredient for the pet
meant that i would get a drop. i guess this is not the case?

 

every boss drops one part, but not every time. Think on the test server someone had to do that map 60 times to get all parts.

 

Anyone has a list of it ? so from description of Boss monster Level 40 and above, it should be Hard Sigris, Hard Gorga, Hard Herald, Destructor, PW Heredur, Mortis, PW Khaly, Medusa normal ?

Any guidance on this especially confirmation from Mod would be helpful.....

The Travel-item to the Circus Monstrorum drops at the following bosses
· Gorga
· Gorga (hard)
· Sigrismarr (hard)
· Khalys (Parallel Worlds)
· Herald (hard)
· Mortis

Hi,
Event is kinda short with low draken count, old one offered much more then the new event in terms of prizes and the boss's for 45 level is missing one, Khalys Hard.

Circus map: I don't like that I can't call all 4 boss and it's so hard to get 1 portal, took me 7 hours to get 1.

Overall event, no fun, annoying and very boring. Fail.

 

I'm going to reserve feedback till the event is nearly over. One thing I will say, however, is that low levels have much more grinding to do.

[Edit]Feedback: After playing to the last day, I just don't understand why anyone would think grinding the same quest and boss(es) is fun. I do realize there are some options but they offer less insignia for more work, which I don't understand. The most irritating part during this event was not being able to log in, game kept crashing, and group bugs. If this event comes again, I'm not gonna bother since it's too much work.

 

I think its really boring that we can not choose between differend bosses. Its should be mortis and khaly for lev 45 pleyers,not only those 2. I don't going to finish this event,to go in and out and just kill cristof its not fun att all. To boring.
So i just fixed my pet and thats the end.

2015 has started just as bad as 2014 have ended in DSO.

 

am i correct in thinking then the only way to complete the event is to either kill kristoff 280 odd times or destructor 80 times? no other way to get the insignia?

 

Based on my current drops for the Circus Monstrorum Travel Ration, and my drops inside the Circus, it will take about 600 boss kills to get the Heredur Doll. Or I could buy 40 travel rations @ 800 Andermant each, and get lucky inside as well.

I do hope the drops rates get significantly better for the Travel Ration, instead of significantly worse, as is the usual roll-out practice. LOL

 

Suggestion to improve this Event for 2016

1. Going the Kristoff route prevents me from watching YouTube or NetFlix. It requires too many mouse clicks to reset the map. Please add a button to reset the map so that I don't have to toggle between something interesting on YouTube and this snore fest.
2. Scratch that idea. Put Kristoff in Kingshill next to the NPC quest giver so that I don't need to get off my mount.
3. Scratch that idea. Just give us the pet at the merchant shop.
4. Scratch that idea as well. Just don't repeat this event in 2016 and we'll try to forget and forgive you.

For most people this means killing Kristoff 280 times .
The Destructor requires an OP team, loaded and huge amounts of essence and buffs.

That is why this is the most awful event in the DSO calendar!
But i need the Draken...

My suggestion for next time would be to give us more variation in the mini/bosses/bosses we need
to kill for the badges. This would at least take some of the monotony out. Particularly if those bosses
where ones where there was a chance of a unique drop.

The circus part the Devs have added isn't much better.
Are we sure that Gorga Normal drops the Circus Travel Rations? I tried 15 kills, and 0 dropped!
Sigris/Khaly seem to offer the best drop rate.

It wouldn't be so bad if once you grinded to get the travel rations, you only had to kill
each of the four Circus bosses once. But as they don't drop first time you're then faced
with more grinding to kill each boss until it does drop the part you need. Again this wouldn't
be so bad if they also dropped uniques.

This will be another event we'll have to wait to come again to get all the parts for the pet.

BTW. Does anyone know if the Pet's effects stack with other group members?
5x-5%=25% reduction to a boss. Otherwise the pet is of limited use imo.

I'm not too impressed with the event rewards either.

The cloak seems to be of little use for the final prize for completing the event.
And can we please have special gems that only attach to types of armour other than helmets! such as travel speed gems for shoes etc. I have all 5 slots open on my helmet, so no more room.

Gorga Norm as a drop source is suspicious from the start as it's the target boss for level 38-39 toons which can't go to Circus anyway. I know it's listed as a source, but it doesn't make sense. Maybe someone can vouch for a drop there, but I wouldn't bother trying till i hear it from a trusted source.

 

I'm an old guy with, probably, a bit more patience than most.... I play by myself (PvE) because on Agathon most players seem to be Spanish or Portuguese... There is almost no English dialogue... I understand a fair amount of the why for's in the game's basic setup... even for some of the endless grinds in some of the quests.... However, what totally eludes me is this latest event... it seems to be completely pointless... Am I the only one that senses this?????

 

From what I have seen posted... NO, the pets effects are not stackable in the sense that if group of 5 people each have the pet, you get 25% reductions. The effect of the pet does not radiate out to other members of the group. The reductions are limited to the individual that has the pet. If each person has this pet, then each will receive his/her reduction of 5%. Basically, it will allow the individual to do a bit more dmg per hit due to said reduction.

About the only nice thing I can say about this event is you can get a few spirit stones and some essence without doing too much. Other than that it seems to be a pretty ridiculous and pointless grind.
