Suggestion AFTER 139 PATCH: OLD OP Players vs NEW Players

    Hi Guys,


    i just noticed this and just thinking the Patch 139 makes the OLD players more OP than NEW onces.


    why?, OLD players have the Low Level upgraded to make it OP .. new players doesnt have this..
    OLD players have FREE CRAFT And FREE INDENTIFY(PREMIUM ONLY)... needs to spend/save GOLD to get Legendary and take note the Legendary possibly a trash so they get broke instantly



    So with that said this game now favors to the OLD players.. do you agree with this guys?

    Your post is not very clear and appears to be a google translation; it seems like you have some complaint about old players being able to use low level legendaries and being able to ID thing for free.

    Keep in mind that the old pre139 premium "free" identify only applied to extraordinary items and weaker, for legendary items you still had to spend COTs. Also, old legendary items have lower max values.

    I think the person is talking about how you used to be able to grind grimmer stone for low level items that max out damage. Yes you still can find these items in the game. However it is harder. So that being said happy farming :)

    Grimmagstone is the first dungeon in the game. Can be accessed from Darbmoor

    With the Release 132 this dungeon was removed from the game as a normal map. It can be played as a parallel world only (Grimmagstone Q1).

    Yeah, bringing back the old regular grimm dungeon would be nice but i think that won't be happening.

    You can still farm the low levels, its just a little more time consuming now and costs gold. Using level 6 ring as an example, all you really need is one green level 6 ring and then you can mix that in to all the level 7s to bring the level down. And can mix level 11s (or maybe 13s) with 7s and then mix the result with 6s to get a 6 at the end.

    (I use level 6 rings as an example as it gets you a good shot at +1 damage lines leveling up to +24 damage at level 45.)

    Yes, you'll have to spend gold, so you'll have to spend some time farming map 2 for the gold.

    I would say it is in favor of new players.
    The new items have much better stats than the old ones ... so it means that old players have outdated gear and everything they have been working on for years is not good anymore ... so they have to grind for it again ... and new players can get it instantly.

    Agreed, I'm also thinking of a certain OP 2H sword that every DK is jealous of that could not have existed before the stats improvement release.

    But the catch here is that you have to grind much harder and longer for it. I don't think you're right about "new players can get it instantly". I for one haven't seen super OP gear 'instantly'.

    What he means by instantly is that if a legendary/unique drops (or even an extraordinary), you can use it, and that the new items come with the higher maximum stats compared to the old items. There is not more of this sort of thought process for mid level players and newly endgame players:

    "Oh wow! A legendary/unique just randomly dropped! Oh crap... it costs 1000 CoTs to ID. I could open four or five extraordinaries for the same amount of CoTs. I know, I'll check the wiki... Ok, the stats are good and would be better than what I have at the moment, but it isn't so good that I ought to spend the CoTs to ID it. Oh well, I guess I'll just melt it."

    When I started playing this game over two years ago, there was no glyph system, and (obviously) the CoT system was still the way to ID. What that meant was that a lot of times, my LVL 35 character would be running around with gear from LVL 20 all the way up to LVL 35... Compare that to today where all of my low level toons have all exo/leg/unique gear that is ± 0-4 levels of my character, only based on farming and no crafting. I would definitely say that this favors new players, and new F2P players in particular.

    Absolutely agree. In the old system it was a matter of prioritizing. OK what is my weakest piece? Then that is where I will spend my cots to get better and everything else gets melted without knowing what the stats are. Now you open whatever drops and if its marginally better you swap it out wherever it is. New players will never have to melt something without knowing if it is good or bad.

    I 100% agree. the other thing is that in the old game I would use blue and purple items until lvl 40

    I disagree. Old players, like myself, have grimmag items that give higher stats levelled up to the same level than 45 lev items.
    For instance, my grimmag arrows give me at lev 48 (from lev 8) 310+290+320 (rounded) impact +%dmg
    New items, even though are better than previous r139 legendary items, are still worse than grimmag ones.

    There is a few players who use low items upgraded to lvl 40+ and they are almost unbeatable in arena ,those are facts but personally i don't think that Bp gonna do smth about this .

    That is not true.
    Because there are no Grimagg items (if you refer to Grimmagstone dungeon) ... those are low level items that can be crafted even now.
    So the new players have those + new powerful items.
    And the old players were after those low level items ... out of boredom. They got nothing better to do so they were farming those items ... and still are.

    I agree with trakilaki, New players can farm lower lvl items and spend glyph's on them the same as any one else.
    I also agree that farming and improvements to low lvl items in some cases could be put down to boredom.

    Yes, I'm referring to Grimmagstone dungeon as it was the place you could farm better than open ground.
    As far as i know from patch r139 BP fixed the bug on those items, so now the enchantments are no longer pumped up as before. Didn't test that, but as written in the patch note:

    Low-Level Item Upgrade Bug

    We fixed an upgrading issue concerning low-level items.
    All upgraded low-level items should now hold the correct values on each level. This bugfix affects all newly found or crafted items.
    This bugfix will not affect any existing items.

    yeah this is the one im referring to..

    This bugfix will not affect any existing items - meaning... theres still bug on those old ones there you will be fighting.. this is ridiculous.. :D

    It doesn't say enchantments but "low-level items should now hold the correct values on each level" ... however even low level upgraded items are not better than the new level 45 items.

    So why new players didn't play this game before? Anyone stopped them?
    It is like saying ... damn I wish I was born 20-30 years ago when the music was awesome not like today's garbage.

    yes the opener is right. they should remove bugged low level legendaries. only thing that makes those op is crit hit rate values because they were bugged and it always gave max raising values when you upgraded those with glyphs. every crit value seemed to go around 300 in 45lv and now the usual average is around 150 in 45lv so old low levels have about double values. and we have seen tanks with over 2k crit + 300% krit dama and crazy damages. also grazy mages and rangers who have crazy block and still over 60% crit and 300% crit damage. that leads to unbalanced pvp because everything and everyone have too much damage versus defence and all is just 1-shotting everyone who doesnt have low level legs.

    im sure you are looking this thru your inventory because you are old player like me who have a lot of those bugged low level items :)
    but i try to see the whole picture and i can admit that they are pretty unfair :D
