Honor for Titles

If I did all the math correctly for possible honor, there are 1870 honor points possible for the new title system. To reach the "Legend" title takes 1800. I am currently sitting at 1520 looking for set pieces and a few other holes I can plug.

OK, assuming "Legend" to be a goal, I can be missing only one of the 50 Honor rewards. Looking through them I only have one choice; the Mechanical set. The reason it is my only choice to miss is because it is now IMPOSSIBLE for me to obtain. One of the items in the set is only available through a quest and it has long been melted.

So that means to get the title I will have to kill 100000 toons in PVP which is not a part of the game I like much, and I will have to get the Cube set from premium boxes in addition to all the other unique sets I have melted.

The Atlantis set for example I have seen all the pieces, but melted them as I got them; they did not work for my build or were just plain inferior. Truth is I can live with that. I still at least have the possibility to get those items. But, to make one of the set bonuses(mechanical) impossible to obtain for characters that have been in game since the last level cap increase is wrong.

I am hoping there will be other options later to obtain honor so that these oversights don't make it impossible to obtain.

 

I'm hoping they will continue to make tweaks to the achievement system as the game progresses. A lot of them don't make much sense currently and as you pointed out, are completely impractical.

For example, most of the 'Heroic' category involve getting lvl 45 end-game unique sets; Once level 50 has been out for a while, these will all seem out of place and obsolete in any case.

 

That is also assuming you can do that ridiculous "Heroic Deed" and clear Map2 in 3:00. If I could do that, I'd probably chose the title of "Wind of Death" over "Legend." It sounds a lot cooler and means that you really kick butt.

And I was thinking about that. The best way to do that would be to have two 2H DKs, and two 2H SWs each with reds. One each runs through the map and waits in Mortis' Court Room. The other two wait at the main entrance. All enter the map at the same time and begin killing. The Mortis Team runs the map in reverse, the Main Entrance team runs the map forward (not taking the jump) and they meet somewhere near the 3rd knight... It would still be crazy to see someone do it and that is a Youtube vid that would be truly impressive.

 

I completed that one with a great team of 3 Rang and 1 SW: Cryptus, Elstra, Jayr3d and I. Cryptus and Jay entered from Mort room as you suggested and Els and I entered from ocean. All of us have significant foot speed which is critical and finished it in 2:49. Biggest slowdown was waiting for the Knights ghosts to come up which also have to be killed. Els and I kind of leapfrogged through dropping thorns on big grps that came up and double teaming any Priests. We also split at any branches like the one right in the beginning and on the opposite side. We did some test runs with blues and was getting around 4 mins. Red, put us over the top. We ended up meeting at the first knight on the wall away from the entrance.

 

Some champions in REVENGE in Agathon completed the Wind of Death achievement as well. The guild also have the Brotherhood of the Oath.

A suggestion for new titles:
It takes a lot to make it in PvP.
Champion would cover anyone in the top 100 in rank, out of umpty thousands.
Ace would cover a player in top ranks, #1, #2, or #3. Or DSO could go with Duel #1, Duel #2, etc., or Flag Master #1, Fortress Master #1, etc.

The quest King on the Wall has been reset, players can complete it once more to unlock the achievement which is linked to it.

Back to your comment. I have part of the Mech Set as well. I actually loved it during the mid 40s for level up. I'll be wanting to finish out this gear for the Achievement. We'll need to trade notes and see if we get it. Good Luck.
