How is travel speed calculated?

Does anyone know how travel speed is calculated?
My questions are

• what is initial travel speed - is it 50% or 100%
• what % is travel speed with normal mount?
• what % is travel speed with epic mount?
• are all travel % added on top of each other no matter if they come from skills, mount, gems or enchantments
• or are some % multiplied like the attack speed from weapons.

I could imagine that travel speed enchantments from boots or from mount might be multiplied and not just added

If anyone knows how travel speed is calculated, please provide an example like below

1. basic player with no skills, items, mounts, etc... has xx 100% travel speed which is equivalent to 10 kph (kilometers per hour)
2. adds boot with +10% running speed, now has 110% travel speed ~ 11 kph
3. drops boots, mounts normal mount, now has 185% travel speed ~ 18,5 kph
4. boots (10% ts) + normal mount = 195% ts ~19,5 kph
5. boots (10% ts) + epic mount = 210% ts ~21 kph
6. ... (you see where I'm going)

Does anyone have this info - apart from guessing?

Depends on how far you run each day and how much more you push yourself everyday.

Do you use a treadmill?
Do you walk sometimes, jog, run?
Do you walk your dragon/horse/pig, etc?

These are the relevant facts to your questions.

 

Simple, you have a base speed of 1 and the the percentages are additive. If you have +20% speed, you have 1.2 travel speed. If you add an epic mount into it, you'd be going 2.2 (+120%). This is actually the easiest of things to calculate when compared to damage bonuses from AK, weapon enchantments, armor/set enchantments, +% damage talent tree... etc.

P.S. Normal mount is 80%.

 

Btw, Are there any speed breakpoints with the travel speed similar to the attack speed? I have actually seen noticeable downgrade of speed with just 3% lost. From 1.48 to 1.45 Idk how to test it out.

So my example above is in fact spot on
Some time ago I asked in the forums (cannot find post now) about the speed difference between normal mount and epic mount, and IIRC the conclusion was 15% (85%/100%).

Are you sure about the 80% on normal mounts?
