2 Handed Weapons (showcase and talk - DK only)

Anyone who tells you one place will yield a greater amount or higher quality of 2H weapons is leading you on. The only good choice is Map2 because that is the best place to farm for gear in general. Farm and hope for luck... then, when DSO disappoints you, try again and again and again.

 

Event maps are dropping a lot of legendary gear for me. I believe both my characters have got 2 hand weapons, although all were melted.

 

I did get a nice leg amulet on the event map, but haven't seen any two handed weapon other than green or blue since I've been playing. I did get a leg 1h with lousy stats today while running in temple, but ultimately I want to build a strong 2h DK. While I'll have to wait for some events to come around for some sets, everything begins and ends with the right weapon and to date I can't seem to find any luck on that end.

I appreciate the direction to look in.

Today I found a "practice" 2h sword on the event map to get used to playing with.



Using this sword with my full gear, my stats go to 565-676 dmg, 5127 hp, 62,43% armor, 46,09% crit, 33,10 resist. For regular maps up to Thunder Crest I can get through them easily enough.

I still need a major boost in dmg before I can stick with 2h, but at least it's a step in the right direction.

1h with shield, my stats are 338-418 dmg, 5127 hp, 65,46% armor, 48,77% crit, 36,92% resist.

Nice sword, but I would put rubies in the sword to take advantage of the weapon damage % and put the sapphires in the claw.

 

What he said. Rubies should be in weapons to take advantage of the % weapon damage lines, and speed gems should be on the decoration because their effect is independent on where they are placed.

 

I know that, and it will be, point is I have 8 months old DK and I havent spent even 1e on it, so for now it is without rubies but I have intention to spend my andermant on rubies from now on.

 

Without rubies but with such big sapphires? Something's iffy .

 

Just a lot of farm and very good farming company By the way, so far 4 gems 6.5 % speed and 6 gems 5% speed, but now i will focus on rubies. Farm is the key for building a good character.

 

And what is filling your weapon decoration? If it is more sapphires, combine them some and put +10s rubies in the weapon... with that much % damage, you will boost your DPS easily.

Not bad! I know theoretically that the max for a single line is 80%, but that is the highest I've ever seen in one line... it is better than a lot of 2 line swords. Then with the high crit line and the two nice damage lines, that is a most formidable weapon. The second one is nice too, but nothing compared to the luck of the first one.

EDIT:
And I'm blind this evening. The first one is indeed good, but it is a hammer. Being that it is a hammer, it is sooooooo slow. I would lose about 0.27 attacks/s to use a hammer and that would make it borderline unusable in PvP. On the other hand, that 2h sword is still a rather good weapon, just not as crazy OP as a sword with those hammer stats would be.

 

wow, that is really good items u have got fate .... hammer is good if u have high speed but dps is low as of now, when compared to sword.

 

I'm just blown away about how fate has only been playing for a month, is lvl 31 and managed to simply find those two solid weapons already. I have a sword similar to his but that was after I crafted 14 2h leg swords. I'm on my 17th now and still haven't crafted anything close to what I'm currently wielding.

 

That, my friend, is why luck is both the best and worst thing ever.

 

Why does this particular Exo costs more glyps to upgrade than Leg items??
