The Event

How to Start the Event

You will receive an in-game announcement about the start of the event.

Pay a visit to the non-player character (NPC) Jon Sunlair in Kingshill. Complete the quest by going to Sargon’s Fortress. Once you are there you will be given a Weak Cursed Pearl. Take it to Jon Sunlair who will boost it into a Strong Cursed Pearl. Then go to the Secret Portal in the Swerdfield Pastures. Then the adventure can begin.

Cursed Pearl		Key	You need this item in order to be able to access all maps within Dragan's Castle Ravenclaw (different number for each map).	They can be dropped by all Champions (Monsters) within Dragan’s Castle Ravenclaw.
Victory Token		Quest	You need Victory Tokens to complete the main quest so that you can continue on and fight Dragan.	Victory Tokens from various test quests: Black Knights' Battleground – Test of Bravery, Dungeon in the Sulfur Desert: - Test of Resilience, Dr. Jullov's Laboratory – Test of Mercilessness, Dragan's Excavation Site – Test of Discipline as a reward. In addition, there is a chance that you might get Victory Tokens from reward chests.

Cursed Pearl to Dragan‘s Refuge		Quest / Key	You require this item to access Dragan’s Refuge and fight Dragan.	You receive this item after you defeat the Tame Battle Spider and thereby will also be granted access to Dragan’s Refuge.
Snooper’s Crystal		Quest	It is required for Toniosha‘s Quest in Dr. Jullov’s Lab.	Monster on the map Dr. Jullov‘s Laboratory can drop this quest item.
Tame Battle Spider		Mount	The travel speed is increased thanks to this mount.	This mount can be dropped once you have defeated the Tame Battle Spider.
Onyx Skull		Unique gem	The Onyx Skull increases the hitpoint regeneration by 7.5 per second, when it is used in a helmet.	These gems can be dropped upon completing one of the test quests which can be done in Castle Ravenclaw, after you have completed the challenge in Dragan’s Excavation Site.
Sharp-eyed Raven		Pet	Enhances one of your skills (+ 3% all resistance values)	This item can be found inside one of the quest chests in Dragan’s Castle Ravenclaw, after you have completed the challenge on the Battleground of the Black Knights.
Dr. Jullov’s Monster		Emote	Funny Frankenstein movements for a few seconds.	This item can be found inside one of the quest chests in Dragan’s Castle Ravenclaw, after you have completed the challenge in Dr. Jullov’s Laboratory.
Dungeon Costume		Costume	You can wear this costume.	This item can be found inside one of the quest chests in Dragan’s Castle Ravenclaw, after you have completed the challenge in the Dungeon in the Sulfur Desert.
Black Squire Items (Unique)		Set	The set is equipped with good defensive equipment and in addition to other things improves blocking chances.	You can receive this set (or parts of it) after defeating Dragan in Dragan’s Refuge.
Black Knight Items (Unique)		Set	Upgrade Level I (Upgraded): The set is equipped with strong defensive equipment and in addition to other things improves blocking chances.	Should you have four identical items, for example, 4 Helmets of the Black Squire, you can upgrade these helmets on the workbench to Helmets of the Black Knight.
Black Warlord Set (Unique)		Set	Upgrade Level II (Upgraded): This set is equipped with much stronger defensive equipment and in addition to other things will improve your blocking chances.	Should you have four identical items, for example, 4 Helmets of the Black Knight, you can upgrade these helmets on the workbench to Helmets of the Black Warlord.

Event Procedure
As soon as you make it to the Swerdfield Pastures through the portal, there are a few exciting quests waiting you. You must first complete these quests in order to make it to the boss room Dragan‘s Refuge where you must fight the horrible Dragan.

The Final Battle
You can defeat Dragan on your own, but of course it is easier in a group.

After redeeming your Victory Tokens, enter the boss room. Dragan will be there waiting for you in the middle of the map sporting his old scary look. He will transform however and will be given a new look with new skills. You can then try fighting him.

Remember not to let the rotating lasers hit you, as they will drain a lot of life from you. You can deactivate the lasers by directing projectiles (one of Dragan’s skills) close to the Dragon Breath’s source: Simply run away from the lasers and redirect the projectiles to desired target. Stand still briefly and wait until the projectiles have deactivated the Dragon Breath. Try to get it done as quickly as possible, after a certain period of time the source of the Dragon Breath will reactivate again.

Dragan isn't easy to defeat. He is a very strong opponent. But with a little bit of determination and some guts, you can do it. Try always to keep moving so that you aren't an easy target. After you have successfully defeated Dragan, there's a chance that he might drop a few valuable items (See item list).

What is new about the event?
Close to Dragan, you can find a Helmet of a Black Squire, a Cape of a Black Squire and Pauldrons of a Black Squire. Dragan will definitely drop one of the items of the Black Squire and he can also drop some additional items. Once you have collected 4 Helmets, Pauldrons or Capes, you can upgrade them on the workbench in the city. Upgrading will only work however when you have four identical items (e.g. 4 Helmets of the Black Squire, etc.). The items are based on your level. For example, if you are a level 10 player, you won’t receive any level 30 items.

The following upgrades are possible with the items:

• 4 Helmets/Capes or Pauldrons of the Black Squire = 1 Helmet/Cape or Pauldron of the Black Knight
  
  
• 4 Helmets/Capes or Pauldrons of the Black Knight = 1 Helmet/Cape or Pauldron of the Black Warlord

Once you have collected the Cape, Helmet and Pauldrons of the Warlord, you will receive a set bonus: +30% block rate, +30% Mana/Rage/Steam and +30% weapon damage with two-handed weapons. Since the Ranger doesn’t have any two-handed weapons, the following bonus will be awarded: +30% concentration, +20% block rate, +10% damage with longbows.

Frequently Asked Questions

After I have defeated Dragan, I didn't receive the items I wanted. What can I do?
As soon as Dragan has been defeated, he will not die. Instead he will briefly disappear from the boss room Dragan’s Refuge. Leave the room too and as soon as you have the “Cursed Pearl to Dragan’s Refuge”, you can re-enter the boss room and recommence your fight with Dragan. You can keep repeating this as often as you like. But of course, only as long as the event lasts.

What happens with the Cursed Pearls (weak, strong, etc.) after the event?
Should you have some left over after the event, they will remain in your inventory. We recommend keeping the Cursed Pearls. They will most likely be needed again in future events.

Why do I need Draken?
This is our event currency. You can only win Draken during the event. They are useful in the game, since the event handler named Gnob sometime drops by Kingshill and sells special items which can only be bought with Draken.

I can't defeat Dragan. It is way too difficult. Are there any tips?
We recommend playing the event in a group. But should you play alone, just remember – always keep moving. Try to deactivate the Dragon Breath’s source of power as it can drain lots of life from you. And at the same time also make sure to defend yourself against Dragan... equip yourself well for the battle by putting on strong pieces of armor or by fetching reinforcements, for example, in the city, to briefly increase your life force. That way you will be able to stand up longer against him. Make sure to stay calm and with the will to carry on, you will most certainly banish the event boss Dragan and be able to score yourself valuable items.

Sargon's Soul still lives on. Can I assume that he will rise again?
If we tell you now, we will spoil all the fun. No, joking aside, whether and how Sargon will find his way back in the game, we do not know yet. We know however that Sargon is a very popular character in the game. We won’t let him get away that easily … there are however no specific plans just yet. So keep posted!
