    To me personally Jason seemed very intelligent and honest when speaking about the game but yeah- it seemed to me like he really hasn't read our comments here and hasn't seen our screenshots...I think he is honest and professional but he needs to address the issue of Critical Hit Value- we need to be able to run around equipped with a shield with 50% CHV and see those high yellow hits more often.

    It would be great if we could just gather few veterans and new players and create a video conference and show him and his team what we mean and what our problems are- it would speed up the process of fixing the game- otherwise we are going to wait for weeks and meanwhile when I look at my friends' list i see more and more people offline . I don't think that making heated comments will help us ( though we all feel like screaming here) - I think that screenshots or even short videos will help more and show the relevant team what bothers us. Also- I was surprised to see one of the chaps in the Office playing with red essence on normal map...strange- seems to be out of touch...

    they ALL play with RED ess.that's one of the problems.
    if they sold Res ess for 15 silver a stack of 999,we wouldn't complain,as much.;)
    but who plays with red ess all the time,,oh wait,i can answer that,the 1% of new players or wanna be vet players do.;)
    not us,or me anyway.i build my toon to not use ess at all,until i have to kill a boss.that's how a game should work,it's funner and worth playing.;)

    I've been saying this too! I don't even care if you bring back the old complicated equation or simply adjust the new simplified linear equation so that the new crit values still give about the same %Chance rate... That is not my point. My point is that no veteran player in their right mind will ever stop using their old OP items because they could get more crit on a single item than some people can get total with the new, HORRENDOUS, values that are on items now.

    Last advice I can offer for r155+:

    End-game farming can be described in 3 letters: HoD.
    When you rework all PW, please drastically increase the significant drops and make all of them as good or better than HoD. Work around that structure with the 5 boss knights, that give 100% extraordinary, this will make the game feel far better endgame. Variety = less boredom = more people playing and spending = everyone wins.

    If not altering the current critical rate, please boost the critical enchantments on left side items and adornments ~50%. This is where many of the arisen issues are stemming from with regards to the huge drop in player performance. People hate that feeling, especially when they're 'levelling up'. We feel less powerful than at 45, making us confused and angry.

    Damage mitigation can be tackled by lowering the effectiveness of the damage based wisdom talents.
    8k fireballs = fail. 1-2 hitting DKs = fail. Consider making the 50%dmg -10%a/speed talent applicable only for 2h wielding.
    Reduce PW mob health slightly to accommodate.

    Fix the fame bugs plaguing PVP. Especially the 'hp-after-kill' talent, which stands out the most.
    Re-incorprate stun immunity.

    Please introduce a switching mechanism for the wisdom tree. It's getting incredibly annoying switching all the time back and forth, which is necessary to do because pve/pvp environments are extremely different. Besides, when you added old fame tree attributes to the wisdom tree this should really be a given on the initial release.

    For andermant drops I'd suggest doubling the rate. It really is catastrophically low. ~20ander should be a standard amount in lvl 49-50 maps, for PW 35-40 ander drops.

    I believe the DK issues are stemming from Rage generation. Simply boost the rage they build when they receive hits, significantly. They lost that old talent which was heavily taken for granted, but altogether necessary. Don't give them more regeneration.. the smart ones have already figured out the new skill. It just needs to be made readily available.
    A 25% natural boost to resistance and armor on top of this would about balance the situation.

    Just my 2 cents - fix the game with it if it tickles your fancy.

    One exception. I did extensive playing on TS and I saw just how bad rage generation was there before they did a fix that doubled (or tripled, can't remember) the rage generated for getting hit. That made a world of difference. Now, with the new rage generation talent, it feels about the same as with the old rage generation talent. The difference is that in the past, it was a no brainier to select the rage generation talent on the XP tree, but now no one wants to waste those precious Knowledge points on a skill that is only mildly helpful. I would much rather have 20% damage or 30% HP than double rage gen for getting hit.

    The new PVP system is so crap
    It now is a complete waste of time
    All players do now is spam stun and drink Potions
    I am not interested in PVE grinding when I play this game IMO I can think of nothing worse than spending what time I have to play grinding the same map it is so Fing boring I rate it along side watching paint dry or watching grass grow
    What the developers said to the players that did build PVP high ranks is a big F#$k you
    I can't be arsed watching your twitch bs no answers are given to problems
    Your game sucks arse hard as it is

    In all honesty, I don't care if they adjust the equation at the same time they increase the values so that the crit rates still don't exceed 30% without a lot of sacrifice. I just care that the vets have items that new players could only dream about and this creates an imbalance no matter what equation they use to calculate the rate.

    You don't care you say... well that is sad that you don't care. I would like everybody to enjoy the game and everybody to have a chance to build a great char/toon. Sure- take away low level legendaries-take them away from people who after work would spend hours upon hours of farming Grimagstone- 6..8..10 hours every day..every day... for months...that will remove the last flock of veterans that are still playing this game. Sad that - one tries to make a stance for improvement of the game and one gets only ' take them away' notion. Playing with less then 50% Critical Hit Value is not giving players pleasant experience. Solution 2 I posted would take care of the low level legendaries and remove them completely and at the same time give all of the players brilliant performance. Why not make everybody happy? You really don't care? Are you really happy with 27-30% Critical Hit Value? Would you not be better off with 50%? Heh, sometimes I feel tired of all of this.

    I need to rest and take some distance to this game- will wait for r 156 and we'll see what it brings- I'm staying positive but it is sad to see so many of my friends offline after r155.

    BigPapa pointed out that this game has one of the highest crit rates he's ever seen, and he is right. Plus, with the huge damage boost that they've given us in this release using the knowledge points, if crit hit rate were not nerfed, then the damage mitigation in PvP would be even more nuts and PvE would be a joke. I'm not upset by the developers attempt to balance the game, I'm upset that they've blatantly ignored the a huge imbalance between players.

    So here's what im resolved to with the current system and settings. The dev's want me to make a choice. I can either have high damage or be survivable. I can't have both right now (im working on how to do it and will eventually succeed). This is a hard choice since im used to having both and needing to make no choice. I think this is a source of the angst from people. My DK is seeing this reality more than my other toons, and no doubt other DKs used to having both, are fighting just to get one or the other after having both in excess. But the choice is the same for all. The choice is easy for me in the new maps since they are too simple if your damage is extreme. It's not so easy in the PW's or against end bosses especially if you like to solo. Now, when people ask me what my damage is, I dont know how to answer, you want what my current setting is or what I can get to? It's 2500, wait I clicked to buttons now its 2535, wait......

    Although, I have never wanted to be a rear echelon ranger, now I have to be if I want to dish it out. Sure I can put on the other gear set and tank stuff, but my damage sux and I hate it. Reminds me of other games where my job as a tank was to taunt and shout and hold the beasties attention while rear echelon dmg dealers took care of the red bar and a healer augmented my limited healing capability.

    My problem is though, how extreme the choice is. Its one end of the teater-totter or the other. You can't decide to be kinda survivable and kinda high damage. What im hoping the devs will do is let us not only decide one or the other, but find a balance between the two that we like.

    I think adding armor and resist options in the knowledge tree would help this. If you sink all your points in DMG and you get smoked well, that was your choice. Of course there should be other mods made to give us better options to reduce damage, but at least I would feel like I had options to have some portion of both choices.

    My biggest issue is I watched the twitch session and Jason was we know the problem ,, but you all have to wait to see if we can or will fix it...This was not explained before the release nor have any of you answered our questions,, or truly given reason why you did what you did to the game,, a lot of us have played every day for years.. myself i have not missed a day in over 465 days,, but do you show us that same loyalty.. or even respect to respond to us....why cant you fix the problems that you all did intentional or not, and do it in a timely manner? Fix the dragonknights and do something as Bigpapa said to make it survivable and fun again...

    Anyone noticed that the locker space expansion 25% off has not dropped since R155 ?
    Maybe they cottoned on to the fact that Premium users might just save there Andermants get more locker space drop there premium no more profit for bug.point
    Just a thought :)

    This is true... I also whine a little at the beginning as my crit was 61% before r155 and its been nerfed to 35% now but as i play now it is a bit more balanced and after eqping my knowledge points on +50% weapon dmg and rest 20 on dmg my character ( ranger ) rocks with longbow :p

    Would you be so kind to show us your stats with longbow equipped ? You see - my stats are around 2200 max dmg with over 9k HP on SHORTBOW and I don't think that my Ranger rocks right now..especially with less then 30% critical hit value....especially in PW like map 2 q6. So I find it hard to imagine that you feel different...

    Imo we need two simple changes to solve the damage problem:
    • give some base resistance values to rings and amulets (600 i would suggest)
    • decrease the effectivness of behemot (IE 20% dmg instead of 50% or 25 knowledge points instead of 10)

    I have to admit this was one of those twitch sessions where I had the feeling it was a waste of time and a lost chance.
    While the 2 of you (Haruki and Jason) did your best to convince us that you are listening to the community and monitoring in-game stats in order to find out what has to be changed for a better gaming experience, I would have hoped for some specific, concrete examples on what you are investigating, what data you collected so far and what are your current ideas towards solutions.

    If you cannot tell yet on what you are going to act and when, at least you could have SHOWED us some of those amazing in-game statistics you are collecting.
    Maybe there even are some numbers showing that actually DKs are performing even better in PvP and against Mortis than before, in contrast to the widespread whining in the forums...
    But then it would have been interesting to get at least some glimpse of what you are working with and basing your decisions on, even if you can't present any results or potential outcomes yet.

    Frankly, I don't understand why people insist on those high crit rates. What you need is a high DPI, and that's what we got - probably better now than with the CHR contribution to it before.
    Do you guys just like yellow as a colour so much? Would it help you if BP changed the colour of damage values of normal hits to yellow?
    In DSA, the old pen-and-paper RPG Drakensang (offline) was originally based on, the chance of landing a critical hit was 5 or 10 percent, if I remember right. And I think that makes some logical sense, a critical hit should be something rare! It means finding and directly hitting the weakest spot of your opponent!
    Imagine what would happen if in boxing every second unblocked punch was a lucky punch and immediate knock-out... How boring would THAT be!

    So, I am very happy with BP's decision to reduce the high critical hit rates that could be reached with only 1 or 2 items bevor R155, and with the linear equation being applied now.

    What I am not happy with, AT ALL, are the low individual enchantment values (especially for CHR) I found so far on items lvl 46-50 - in average, they seem to be rather lower than higher than those of lvl 43-35 which still can be found. This is especially annoying as we were told that old lowlevel-high crit weapon ornaments would become obsolete with new level 50 items - I don't see that happening.
    I completely agree with @_Baragain_ here.

    BTW, I also think that Sargon's powerful weapon ornament should be adapted. Before, it provided a really high critical hit rate in exchange for a massive, painful armor reduction of 35%. Now, with an absolute CHR value of 1000, it is virtually useless. I think it should receive a CHR value of at least 1500 - 1800. Shields (defense event) were adapted as well, why not this unique then?

    One more thing, @CM Haruki , it would still be helpful to get some information on what is planned for our stablechars on the test server. Is there any point in doing daily quests for knowledge for them? Or are they going to be deleted soon?
