5 +15's in your sword would have given you about 837 to 840 dps on the sword at the expense of 400 crit from the onyxs; given how weak crit is these days the 5 +15s is better than the setup you have.

Good news for you is that the sword is strong enough for pw and map2 farming so you can make some anders quicker.

I can't see the picture but slots don't matter if you get it good, really. I stop to care about slots long ago you should to. Relax, farm andermant with friends, have fun and open slots )))

 

I have all these weapons and im not sure which one to use...or if i should keep one or the other.

Also, WHY IS IT THAT I EVERY NEW WEAPON I GET IS HARDLY BETTER THAN THE ONE I GOT? sigh

 

Since you have all of That, only weapon I would not keep is the one full of damage increase, the hammer.

 

Also, don't go by CV to determine what is "good." Those purple weapons might have close or better CVs, but there is more to making a good character than BP's messed up and useless CV equation.

 

Found a rather good 2h sword...

The only catch is that can't justify spending 20k andermant to open the slots for only a moderate increase in DPS overall. If I opened all slots, I'd gain 11% crit chance, lose 0.15 attack speed, and gain 82 minimum damage, but lose 4 max damage. Maybe if it were a 3 slot or 4 slot item, then it might be worth using, but as it stands, sadly not.

 

Not bad it all, I got yesterday a similar two-handed sword when broke a vase in the scenery of Cradle of Frost, yeah lucky's moment or not, by the way, my best weapon is a mace that got in old Grimmagstone and I know there is a lot of better weapons but this is the best for me, I'm not a lucky guy and every day I'm trying to get a new better weapon and shield without luck yet. I don't get bad weapons... I just get ones that are not as good as my current one.


First, I'd end up with a little higher damage if I were to open the slots and move my gems over, but it would cost too much andermant in my opinion given the crit and speed that I'd lose. There is no question that this would be a very nice 2h for some people out there, but the sad truth is that it is not for me.

 

Yesterday i got a +200 dmg and 99,38% weap dmg 2h sword(704-967 weapon dmg), vs my current axe +103dmg and 140,1% weap dmg...with the new sword i get 350min 400max and speed 16% more, BUT my crit hit drops down from 41% to 21%...what do you recommend?
My current rubies are:
38,29,29,22,22
And i'm using 2 gnob rings of 25% crit... So this is why i lose that crit hit

Really nice, worth farming the anders for the 5th slot and stuffing all 5 slots with the biggest rubies you can get.

With that hammer, high armor, and 10K hp, you should be able to solo mortis on blues.

 

Imagine those lines on a 2H sword... still a beastly find, congrats.

 

Shame it had no damage to go with all this crit

 

Reminds me of an axe I found once with over 5k crit... can't find the picture of the axe, but here is what I was able to push the crit to...


I'll put it this way; that build had more crit than it had HP, Armor, upper damage, and Resist all added together.

I'd rather have the 100 damage from the full set (and the 45 damage/7.5% attack speed) but that is my opinion.

 

Congrats! That is a very powerful weapon you have there, maybe if 1 line was critical hit value it would be even better in my option.. hm, interesting.

 

From my experience using them along 3 months i can tell you it's quite interesting if you are using an axe... they pump the crit by 1800 about in my case... and hp are welcome

 

In the past, when there was a bug that you could get the 3/3 +100 damage from 2x Bloodtooth or 2x Tear Holders... at that time, I'd have told you that 2x Bloodtooth would be the way to go, but unless you have an axe and some nice crit items, I'd rather the damage (especially with 55.8% damage for all items from knowledge and my torso; the 145 damage becomes about 226 damage).
