Announcement Ask the CMs in English

I'll give you kudos for making this about pve instead of pvp, but your "my class is too weak, this class is too strong" is a very tired story and it's been told from every possible angle.

You got advice from one the strongest Dk's in the game and obviously you wanted to hear something different. In your original thread you asked if the dev's played Dk's, and it is obvious that they don't put in the same amount of time playing as the players, so why you got mad when a top posting Dk answered is a bit silly. Now your argument is just making many of us wish there was an ignore button on the forum.

You do realize that this is a forum right? It's different from say, a suggestion box because we can all see and talk about what each other wrote. Nothing and no one (except the mods) can prevent us from writing what we want to write.

I won't comment on your heated discussion with others but I will say this:
If you want people to do something or feel a certain way towards you*, you have to give them a reason to do so. It's how the world works.
*ie. you want them to like you or at least not hate you.

DK is the only class I play since 2012. I have seen Golden era for all classes and I have seen badly broken balancing patches the results of which got us all landed here. And I am currently hurting as a DK class player. I would have loved this post and points stated if it wasn't for this part:

We all get emotionally attached to our beloved toons, which we raised as our own babies ;-) and that can only be commendable... What can not is letting our impulses to take over. Three things that cannot be recovered: Spoken Word, Missed Opportunity and Wasted Time. In this case I am referring to Spoken Word. It would be great to just stick to logical points of better balancing refraining from letting bad Words fly left and right. It really makes me stop reading posts where people get carried away with personal attacks. In my opinion this is all Bigpoint's fault caused by their poor approach to balancing issues and serious ramifications deriving from this.

How about a system in which we can only trade equipments and nothing else? This way it won't hurt bigpoints gem business and won't create super-powered twinks. Of course only equipments that aren't upgraded and don't have gems inside are tradable.

I am well aware of the dangers of a free trade system, but a MMORPG in which in the only forms of player interactions are chatting, killing with, or killing each other can feel a little dry sometimes.

We need more ways to interact with other players.

 

And even they leave us alone in this room... the only one who will prevent, scold, or otherwise tell us off for the things said in this little corner of the forums is the CMs and they are nowhere near as OCD about keeping threads clean as our Mods are... so Krazydamage, If you can't take the heat from the people who know better than you, stay out of the one space of the forums that most closely resembles a street fight.

 

The drops in PW will scale to player's level since the next update. So no more twinks stalking high level players to help them through PW maps.
Even if these twinks group up with end gamers at the beginning, they will eventually stop doing so because they aren't getting end game items instead they find same items dropping as they would if they run PW at their level.
These twinks will have a tough time farming glyphs even with XP blocking though they are in PW.
And about twink chat, this is something we all are used to. We see new level 45s sending random group requests and asking help everyday. That will continue instead of just 40+ players its gonna be 10+ now.
But I really feel DSO is slowly getting rid of twinks.
Reduced unique drop rate from Heredur. Restriction of entry to high level maps. And now drops scaling to player level.
All these updates are making pvp fair at low level day by day

 

Anyone know some advanced group dynamics about long-term responses to crises in closed systems?

( I had a monologue here, but it takes us off point. The key element is that power brokers set up factions to fight among themselves.)

Arguments among ourselves are opportunity costs; that time & energy could be going to game improvements.
BigPoint is incredibly slow to react, please give them plenty of lead time to do the right thing, and don't let up.

 

If we are at wasted time...Near dk and other issues...

I farmed every event...Didnt have much more luck then others but I collect 34+k drakens,if count with 6k weapon more than 40k.
I have more than 20 mounts (more than 10 already droped out),all costumes what I need and pets.
Is it possible that BP can offer me only to buy more pets,mounts,colors instead something what will make my hero more stronger?
Is it possible that after 1y Gnob is without any valuable items for the older players?
If you dont have offer,pls think to put some special gems,ordinary gems,even gold,anders,anything valuable for drakens.
I am so sad for my spent time on all that events

 

Add private massages on the forum.

 

Promising players that their hard earned PW quest fragments will be compensated with new materi fragments in the R158 Patchnotes and deleting all the quest items after the sync with a stupid justification. Now that is the most stupid thing DSO has done.
Players have farmed those fragments with a lot of hardplay. The last maps of PW were no joke, even the strongest players had to work their ass off to farm the fragments there and took a lot of resources (Essences, Buffs, Anders for respawns,etc) to do so.
Players had been working on these quests for months and few were working on it for almost a year.

DSO never gave prior notification that these fragments will be deleted completely. Instead they promised compensation for the fragments farmed for the Old PW quests. (A prior notification would have been helpful because players would have somehow tried to get these quests done by the time R158 was implemented)
And now after the Sync of R158, all the old fragments have been deleted from our inventory with a lame justification on the forum after the sync.
DSO has to COMPENSATE all those old fragments as they had promised.

*Hopelessly expecting a stupid justification from the CMs anyways*

They said it was supposed to be converted into currency. They screwed up and deleted it.
I will try to be positive and think they will fix this.
If not, then my money goes elsewhere.

Ok, now, back to fantasy role-play reality.

 

I do not get the whole CV thing... What's a good CV value? What's an okay CV value? The new ammon set just gives ??? CV, so how am I supposed to know if it is better or worse (not that I want it, but still what's the point of giving question marks).

It also appears that a full crit item isn't a good thing. My weapon adornment has over 800 crit but has a 393 CV value. Resist seems to give a lot of value. My amulet has 550 crit and 168 resist and has a 1023 CV value.

 

CV is a load of garbage anyway. How do the developers know what makes a character good? A ranger with low HP and armor but nice damage might have a better CV rating than a well rounded one, but the well rounded can actually compete well in pvp and can solo without dying frome a single hit. Point is, we debate on the forums about what makes a build good and a lot of times, it comes down to preference. How does BP think that they can just assigne a numerical value to the quality of the character without knowing the purpose of the build? My advice: ignore the little number and build your toon to tour standard. Sure, I know the number is not totally irrelevant. I'm sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that a crappy character would have a low CV, but I don't need a number to tell me that... a crappy character is like porn, hard to define, but you know it when you see it. Same probably goes for a truly good toon.

 

just to update you all on what a DK can do with this release,this is today pvp 5v5,yes he killed me alot,but i killed him too lol
more importantly look at the lame honer points.alot of work for peanuts.

Real question - why couldn't your SM get a flag with iron dwarf mode?
