Same, I don't 1v1 much but ran into him a couple of times and came out with a "What the %#&$ is happeneing" loss. Continuosly spams the heal and still has enough steam to drop turrets.

I do agree, met one dwarf in 5v5 carrying the flag and in a 3v1 we couldn't manage to kill him (and believe me, I had OP teammates lol.)

Simply the healing + the fact that they can run faster (harder to hit) makes the combination of those 2 skills OP. It should either be an actual amount of steam that they regain (instead of %) or the Steam Conductor skill should heal less. I don't wanna look like I'm whining but the pics say enough, they don't even have to make dmg. (which they can, actually) Then consider the fact that with normal turrets they don't even have to aim (computer aims for 'em)

Well after this match here vs a warrior with full moon set: [IMG]

I decided to quit 1v1-games for a while. It only gives me frustration and if that's what a game gives me, then no thanks.

I do enjoy every other type of battle. I like teamplay.

(sorry that the pic is vs. a warrior while the thread is about dwarves, just wanted to make a statement about 1v1 in particular, I'll upload dwarf screen later.)

EDIT: Here is 1 already... it's just a mild version because B4lin 1shotted the dwarf in the 2nd run of the battle. But it shows the power of dwarf-healings

EDIT #2: Here one of mine. 5v5 tho. it was 5v5 until the very last minute.

Completely agree that the near-unlimited combination of healing and automatically-aiming turrets make SMs pretty much unbeatable in 1v1, though the dwarf in the first post is perhaps one of the strongest on the server. Maybe increasing the steam cost for the Steam Conductor skill might help. I also can't help but feel that this thread serves as a tutorial to all SMs on how to become unkillable in 1v1... though being at a disadvantage in 1v1 isn't exactly a new experience as a SW.

However, it's unlikely that the dev team will make any changes to non-DK classes this late after the lvl 50 expansion (perhaps for their personal safety purposes). So here's what we might be able to do instead, based on my experience with dwarves like the SM in the first post: (I'm a 2H SW)

    1. Their defense/steam build comes at the cost of damage, so it's fine to take a few shots, and that's the key: you have to be aggressive and charge at them instead of conventional 1v1 tactics (e.g. hit and run). If I hit them with 5 fireballs, then proceed to run about dodging their bullets (usually unsuccessfully), I'll probably face them with full HP before my next attack.
    2. Our only hope when facing their zero-cooldown Tactical Turrets (the bombs that increase speed and refill steam) is the fact that they only have one stun-break: Rocket Pack. So we need to double-stun them. Here's what I do: run to them, use Frost Nova, attack them, and when they fly away, immediately use Frost Wind, Singularity, and 3 Frozen Spheres (or Destruction if they're caught solidly in the center of the Singularity). I'm bound to get hit by turrets during this process, but I should be able to survive. I've never played a ranger, but a possibility might be Net followed by Bird of Prey (with increased speed)?
    Some notes:
    • Don't bother with low-damage skills like Magic Missile or Hunting Arrow if the dwarf has 10+K hp, or even Fireballs.
    • Things I have NOT tried but might help: Cyanite Shield (I imagine this will really help in being aggressive), Mind Control reset (I don't have the coordination for this, but imagine if you could do Frost Wind twice).
    • SMs can remove the cooldown for Rocket Pack at the cost of increased steam, so it's best to wait for them to use some skills (turrets, etc.) before launching the double-stun.
    • The double-stun might help in 5v5 as well -- it certainly has for me.

My SM uses over 15k hp and 155 steam for flag running (stats posted upon request) and, although I am tough to take down, I am in now way immortal. There have been many situation in which a few crits from frozen sphere or explosive arrow have taken me down. Not to mention stun locking from DK skills or the infamous perfectly timed singularity. I haven't brought my regen setup into 1v1 yet, but i imagine the fact that i can't deal damage would mean my success rate would be right around 50%. The conductor only restores 5% of my hp and costs me 15 steam, so concentrating on spamming this skill while keeping track of shots being fired at me is NOT an easy task. Also take into consideration that this skill cannot be used while stunned/frozen. This is a very effective setup and strategy, however it is not perfect and can be overtaken with a little bit of teamwork or even a couple lucky shots. For instance, while holding the flag, I am often left to fend for myself when I am not with my guild while my whole team goes over to take out the other flag runner. When 2-4 of their teammates are all pounding me with all they got, and i cannot kill them, while only being able to stun them once every ~10sec (conductor reduces c14 rocket's cooldown by 1.5s every time), it is very easy to be taken down. Often times my best escape in a 1v4 is Iron Dwarf, however while using it, i cannot use any skills and getting hit still hurts, so it is not always a viable escape.
The only OP players are the ones decked out with Royal gems who ALSO have skill. My dwarf still has mostly polished with a handful of radiants. Any class with Royal with be a major pain the butt, don't confuse it with imbalance, that comes from the size or their wallets and the amount of their life they can waste, not from class-specific skills.

It had come to my attention that SMs were running out of popcorns while entertaining themselves with the debate On "who is OP, Tank, ranger or SW?". Reading this thread they almost spill coke on their keyboard!

I don't do 1vs1 but 5vs5. If it was before R155 the SM would not have survived. [IMG] ...

Haha, im not at all upset with this BTW. The poor SM's have been stiff armed since they came out recieving little boosts here and there like upgraded gear and uniques, but they have never been mainstream enough. Just look at how long it took for someone to even say something about how UBER they are now. Don't nerf 'em, let em bask in the glory and the rest of us can pray we have one or two in guild with superpowers to help us kill bosses. These vids have only been up a few days and there have probably been 200 new SM's created so peeps can replicate the power that is possible.

I hated playing my SM before the expansion. Now he's a pleasure. Don't worry, I don't PVP with him hehe.

OP, haha, u should do pvp3, pvp5 and pvp6 to see which class is OP :)
from what i've seen from arena, only (Master - Grand Master) classes like (DK Mighty Swing >200% dmg, Mage Draganset + 2h + fireball, RA - Explosive Arrows) can 1 hit me as my teammate!
I don't know how experienced u are, If u don't believe this, create one SM and train him to lv50 & use your buff skill to see its effectiveness bro ;)

1 - The pvp rank does not mean too much - there is a lot of marshals weaker than my centurion
2 - All classes have OP skills

We must learn stop thinking that because we find 1,2 OP players means all players of the same class are OP.
1 - some are more lucky on drops
2 - some knows how to use every skill the class has
    3 - some put a lot o money

All the others are the same and plays almost the same way

So im with Papa , let them help players on PVE. Instead of asking for nerfing , lets ask to improve our own class ;) -> 400% dmg on explosive arrows maybe? lol

Btw, why post videos with simulated battles that doesnt show the real battles on pvp? ;p

    You are wrong!
The only reason is ... the midget was introduced with R113. That is more than 2 years after the others.

dwarf heal more than all , and relly don't need , they are too op even without regeneration. All characters are the same now , all are like warriors with distance skills .... pvp isn;t funny , and is very unbalanced , like viki said most of mages and ranger forgot to play without 80% block and 70% blockrate , they have high dmg with high dmg and , if i compare an warrior with a mage , ranger or dwarf with the same gems , glyphs and all ... warrior will always lose . In this way will be better to take off the regeneration from all characters. Now is also like imposible to stup your oponent in 1v1 with dk

I have to agree with you even if i am playing with SM their heal is op but i want to disagree with something,Slabutul said that dwarfs are too op? Can you tell me what it change? the only thing that change is the fact that dwarfs now can have 2 turret for each uniq turret skill.
They dont change at all.You think that they are op because before the crit nerf a dwarf was using 1h and shield/hammer for crit or block so he can have crit or deff but this was changing he gameplay cause dwarfs are dmg dealers not op hp or attack speed ( i am not speaking about payers). When the crit got nerfed and the dmg got increase the dwarfs stayed the same but the 2h made them much better cause their skills work with pure dmg.And dont tell me that wars are not good?I would like to know which dwarf/mage/ranger can do that without pots.

If i am wrong i would like to know that :)
    Sorry for my english
