PVP idiotic

topic said it all i love game i em new player but im gonna quit cause pvp is totally unbalanced
i mean people same lvl like me hit 4 or 5 k dmg my max is like 200 or 300

farm farm farm then decide to try have some fun pvp and end up 1 hit from 90% of people
if they dont change this matchmaking i am gone
i am sure all newcomers feel like me

 

What level are you? Pvp is not good at the moment, in any event. But it is worse at low levels, and your 200-300 damage lines makes me think you're level 15 or 20.

Suggestions: level up to experience level 50 and wisdom level 40+ before doing pvp. And make sure you have a good set of level 50 legendary or unique item. And at least polished gems everywhere. You'll still get your ass kicked, but not as often.

 

New players have zero chance against the lower level twinks, and that is on top of all the other current issues going on within pvp.

 

The problem is with the matchmaking system.
Due to an issue with the matchmaking system, a Recruit who has never played PvP or has only played few PvP matches is incorrectly matched against the strongest players.
This is really bad.

One workaround is to keep on and play a bit until you record some losses and after that you will be matched against similar opponents.

However, still the system will make bad choices making the matches. Most often placing all the strongest players on one side and the weak on the other.

Hope they will fix this issue soon.

 

As you said, you are newcomer. And you want to kill someone who playing and farming years ? Come on guys. Be logical.
First of all, make your character uo to lvl 50 make character with different class, understand game mecanics. And then start thinking about pvp. Yes there is pvp unbalance at matchmaking, but it has nothing to do in your situation. Its more like 5 marshal vs 5 recruit matching. Or sometimes 2 vs 5 player matching.

 

i am newcomer and i wanna play and fight vs other newcomers like me not vs lvl 50 twinks
and i dont have problem fight vs lvl 50 twinks but if they have similar gear honor and wisdom like me
+ i buy some anders spend real cash put in wisdom and some gems and i still get 1 hit from people with lover lvl then me
so u tell me whats keeping new players not to say screw this and just find some more balanced game

i think this game have so much potential to be crazy fun great and skill based but ned alot working

 

Well if you play and farm you will eventually reach their level of strength. If I understand your suggestion correctly, you want to weak ppl match against weak and strong against strong. In my opinion it takes all the fun of game. You spend time, money , effort and at the end you get nothing. You keep improving your char and skills but at the end you still facing with ppl same as your strength and dont notice any change.
I am strong player myself (80-90% of time I get the most honor points in battles) but still facing some players that 1-2 hit me. So that is what must keep you motivated. Keep working on your character for few months and you will see noticeable change.

As far as I know there isnt much "balanced" MMORPG as you mentioned.

 

1v1 is more likely to put u in a more balanced fight. The amount of people queing for battle affects matching as well. If you are losing all the time either your stats are low or /and you won much in the beginning now you are paired with stronger players. Like any other games, u need to spend more time/money than the other person to win.

 

Luck wins every time. I have seen a very lucky player get the best of the best after playing for one month. Mystic Cubes where more legendary and attack gems. He was very lucky and then changed jobs and never saw him again.

 

And as I say in almost every one of these threads, this problem can be fixed with just a handful of smart changes.

1. Limit the ability to glyph up an item to no higher than +5 levels above the player's XP level (LVL 50 players can't improve items 10, 15, 20 levels higher than themselves).

2. Impose limits on what tier gems can be used at given experience levels (there is no reasonable reason for someone who is only LVL 20 to have full flawless/sacred/royal gems).

3. Impose group level range restrictions to eliminate pushing/XP blocking (There is no good reason for a LVL 50 to team up with a LVL 15).

4. Limit Knowledge level and PvP level to no higher than XP level (As said, LVL 50 players can't get LVL 70 Knowledge).

5. Make player kills worth even more XP than they are now so that they level up quicker and have a harder time staying low indefinitely (Do this and they will have no trouble keeping their XP level even with their PvP level).

I'm sure that anyone who loves Low Level PvP is probably pissed as hell at suggestions because they would soon have to fight at the endgame levels where they wouldn't stand a chance, but anyone who has had their EDIT handed to them by someone who is five levels lower but who has spent more money and time than is reasonable is probably nodding their head as they read my (not so common) common sense ideas... now for the truth... it will never happen because the good for nothing, cancerous, game breaking, insecure little kid twinks usually pay enough money to deck out their toon that BP wouldn't risk cutting off that sweet cash flow.

 

These suggestions are great. I support. But low lvl and lvl 50 PvP are 2 different things. I play both. They have different taste.

1. Most newcomers dont do much pvp , mostly enjoy quests and pve till high lvls.
2. Low lvl pvp is far more balanced than lvl 50.

Well if those low lvls who has high lvl gems, wisdom, pvp ranks and gears have no chance when they lvl to 50, then how you justify a newcomer will have chance against lvl 50 ?
3. At low lvl you cant stand forever. If you play all day pvp , you get 1 lvl almost in a day.
4. Many players who has high end characters with grand marshal ranks also have low lvl pvp characters (which will reach lvl 50 eventually, thats the goal). High lvl pvp and low pvp have different taste.
5. At low lvl pvp you can see many low ranks. But at lvl 50 mostly marshals +

There is no need to fight. We all want to have better game experience right ?
As I mentioned above I fully support Baragains some ideas. Like limiting item ugrading to lvl + 5 or no using high lvl gems. But that doesnt mean low lvl pvp is bad but high is good.

For PVP.

I don't pvp anymore because there is no reward for it.

Low Level PVP have a lot of people that prey on new comers but... I feel they system should reward people that get beaten by someone much higher rank and scale down the reward for the much higher rank. Since this is HONOR points what honor is it to destroy a way lower rank.

SUGGESTION

Level 15 to 30 PVP
If you are low rank before Legionnaire You get 100% more honor points for Loosening.

If the person is more than 5 ranks below you. You get 10% exp and 10% honor.

The higher levels 31 to 50 are untouched ecp for your first 10 pvp matches. Win or Loose you receive 250 honor for each battle. If you pvp before level 30 then what ever remains from the first 10 battles will receive the reward.

I would use this idea together with the modification of ELO ranking. Winrate or honor points you have already make no sense.

There is a standard points for a win, let's say 500. If you beat a player way below your ELO rank, you only get a fraction of honor points and fraction of ELO points, like in chess. If you beat higher ELO player, you will get more.

For the team competitions it is a little bit more complicated, but still doable. Teams will have their total ELO with some additional modifiers, that represent the presence of a tank or dwarf, etc. Team of 5 mages would have much lower total ELO for that very specific fight than their opponents, 2 mages, ranger, tank and a dwarf. Assuming the individual ranks are equal, the balanced team will have much higher chances, so 5 mages should have a discount. Similar with 5 tanks etc.

Their goal is not to be strong when they reach level 50 ... their goal is to satisfy their ego. Their chance to get higher in the ranking list is higher if they are playing twinks and "show how strong and how skillful they are" with a newcomers.
Very high PVP rank on level 50 means playing PVP all day long. Even a completely P2W player who only buys the gear and never farm ... can't play 2 toons 24/7.
It is about time BP to ban all the players who are ganging up on one account.
