Kranparus' Icy Wand or Legendary

I could use some advice as to which one of these wands is better.

Sure, you ought to be looking for a better legendary, a LVL 50 legendary, but unless you are planning to use 3/3 of the Kranparus set, it isn't even something to think about. Seeing that I can't see the amulet, or even the off-hand, I'd say the legendary without contest.

 

Now that i'm looking at it from a computer, his legendary is only level 45... with 3 royal rubies and 2 sacreds (+172 dam). Stat lines are +44 dam, +310 crit, and 43.59% increased weapon damage. Wand has 486.2 dps at 1.00 speed.

If you put +172 tubies in the Kranparus staff (you'll have to open the 5th slot for 2400 ander), you'll have 508.8 damage per second (22 more damage a second), but 1.2 speed, which might be more helpful in terms of spamming magic missile for mana regen (assuming you use that talent, I don't play a spellweaver). You'll have 310 less crit (you might lose more depending what crit hit value % gear you have) but will also have 20% more crit damage, but since you're crit is low, the crit damage is not as significant as it seems.

As an alternative, you might want to consider putting some glyphs into your level 45 legendary until you find a good level 50 legendary. That way, you don't have to waste 2400 ander for a 5th slot on kranparus's staff.

 

And the glyphs will quickly improve the legendary given how cheep it is to upgrade LVL 45s vs LVL 50s. Farming enough to upgrade that weapon 1-3 levels could be done in a week.

 

Definitely stick with the Myrdosch Magnus Staff. It's a no brainer.
