    The worst part of all that: She isn't just a broken record in a single post, but 99% of the CM posts look just like that. Troneck hit it on the head above in his post.
    Agreed! They seemed happy enough to raise the entry costs by 43%, maybe now that they see that they've screwed over the players, maybe they can do something simple like this as a "Sorry" gesture.

    1. bring back special event item fee instead of RF ... like it it was before.
    2. make the RF drop: x1, x2, x3 and x5

    Sadly we have no one to blame but Haruki because she is the only one willing to talk to us. I'm not sure who's job is tougher, hers or the poor volunteers who man the support desk.

    It would be nice if DSO would make the dev's spend an hour each week here on the forum explaining why they choose to ignore the players wishes, why they cannot/will not fix the bugs in a timely manner, the lack of certain drops, the lack of quality events, etc.

    There are so many failed promises that rarely even get talked about anymore. When was the last time anyone mentioned the extra ess slot? I would love to hear a dev explain how adding an ess slot is so much harder than it was implementing wings that no one wanted. Or maybe how upping the realm frag drop rate is so much tougher than it was to implement the completely worthless cv system no one asked for.

    There are so many examples, but the people who decide to do these things obviously won't answer those types of questions.

    This post has so much resemblance to modern politics. Every question has been 'answered' but not really answered. Can we not have a direct answer as to why Gnob has not posted any items since he's been positioned permanently in Kingshill? Is it a technical issue? A programming issue or is it just simply the Drakensang team feel the need to withhold the ability for players to spend their hard earned draken? Draken is already an 'exclusive' currency that is very difficult to acquire. Why then is it also required for it to be so difficult to spend..? The concept seems bizarre to me. If the reasoning behind Gnob being so elusive is that you want players to log-in daily to check for promotions, why not have Gnob permanently sell items and then, perhaps once a month, have Gnob 'sales' such as 10% off.

    I am also interested to know the reasoning behind not altering the realm fragment drops. Is it or is it not as simple as just adjusting the % chance for each monster type to drop them? From a programming perspective this doesn't seem technically difficult or is it again that the team at Drakensang decided players should be forced to have insufficient Realm Fragments in the hope that they can squeeze out some purchases of Realm Fragments from the shop? I guess altering the drop rates shouldn't be so hard. Drakensang were so quick to fix the drop rates of the new costumes, within a matter of days in fact, yet Realm Fragments have yet to be adjusted for so long.

    Whilst 'looking into' issues is helpful, resolutions are far more greeted by the community.

    Actually, I even prefer the realm fragments, as I can farm them whenever I want and don't have to do it DURING the short event times, when I am trying to finish the event progress with up to 4 chars... ^^
    Also, additional event items litter my inventory - realm fragments only need 1 slot.

    The only problem with them is the droprate/expense relation.

    P.S. Dear Haruki,
    for testing crafting 2.0 on the test server, would it be possible to grant us (quite) a bit of inventory space (like, at least 2 pages = 56 Slots), possibly a substantial amount of gold, and/or some days of premium? That would be awesome and very helpful. Thanks!

    Hey there Taketh,

    I am unsure as to whether you are misrepresenting my answer or I did misrepresent myself by saying that - meaning, the problem with some players unable to find PvP matches for their time-slots or levels is naturally there and it pertains to the Matchmaking as a whole, which of course should be enhanced across all servers and not only across one or two. Now, then we can enter in a discussion as to whether fixing PvE and/or PvP should go hand by hand or we shall prioritize there. Ideally we prioritize bearing in mind the impact this has for a bigger amount of players. However, this should not come at the cost of disregarding completely the other aspect to it. Hard to keep the balance.

    As we mentioned in one of our Twitch sessions, we were occupied for a while with the Chinese launch - that was heavy programming and took a toll on our speed to produce other features for Global. Rel164 and rel165 are going to be more filled with features, improvements and bug fixes and we definitely wanna follow that path more often. There are so many things in the pipeline we should be happening soon: Crafting 2.0 (fi-na-lly), quick slot for potions, pre-selection of Wisdom and Honor, Realm Fragments drop rate improvements, and a long list of small quality-of-life or medium range additions. I do believe it's the way to go and we definitely want to get rowing in that direction.

    And the discussion of server migration has not been completely dropped out the table yet. So you know.


    It's kinda on the Test Sever. Albeit not really functional the way it is.
    We are waiting for the rather "final functional" version happening either by the end of this week or next week and we will reach to you guys on the forums inviting you to Test Server and offering us your insights. Crafting 2.0 is to be scheduled with rel165.


    That's probably a matter of perception.
    According to our CCUs, the Grimmag levels are rather stable and remains one of the biggest servers of the game.
    But I get your sense of concern.

    This is going to be a looong 1, so brace yourself, first: Brew or heat up a nice cup o coffee (no decaff) and sit back! Are you comfortable? -I hope so! ;)
    Ill try and and keep it divided into sections, so as to maker it easier to answer! Here goes:

    [1] Bugfixing... As its easy to read from the post in here, a lotta things are broken and needs to be fixed is there a possibility to fix some of the REALLY old annoying bugs, that have pestered us for years on end? Like Rubberbanding for all classes, the dissapearing vortexes for mages, the immobile wolves for Rangers etc, or is this stuff simply too hard to fix?

    [2] Implementing useless, annoying stuff... I know, this has been adressed before, but I have yet to find a good satifying answer from any of you guys, so here goes: You are claiming, that you implement stuff, we as players want. But yet I have watched you the past years implementing a lotta stuff, that noone have asked for, that is hated by a wast majority of players, and is generally at best useless, and at worst is annoying like Hell! (Can I say "Hell" or is that a no-no-word?) Examples of unwanted stuff implemented:
    [2.a] The compare tool thingy, not only was this not asked for (on any language forum I can read, and I can read a LOT of them), but it really took you guys a lotta time and effort to implement this, time that couldave been used to do good instead...
    [2.b] The value of items thingy (I cant remember what its called in english, In my country its called "KK") not only is this tool annoying, its downright BAD! Lemme explain: When we get new players into our guild, we start to train them and run with them to make them stronger, in order to make our guild stronger as a whole! Some of these new players actually uses the tool and trust it, which means they have discarded a lot of good items, and kept a lot of REALLY bad items with high KK!
    [2.c] Crowding the UI in general, making it harder to play... Listening to twitch, and reading upcomming roadmaps, this is finally going to be adressed! YAY! -But I have watched Greg play on Twitch, where he was able to remove the UI, and just show the full wiev, without the countless buttons, healthbar, mana- rage- steam- and concentrationbar, etc... Cant we get THAT as an option also? I would LOOOOOVE to be able to press a hotkey, and PRESTO: No UI! its obviously allready implemented, since Greg can use it, so why not make it available to the players?

    [3] Balancing dwarfs and DKs in PvE, especially in PW... This is a more recent problem with the game; it have only existed the last two years or so AFAIK... I have read MANY posts on balancing the PvP-part of the game, and in order not to make this post too long, I will stay away from that issue, but in PvE this is an ongoing and now growing problem! Lemme explain:
    Its no secret, that strong DKs are able to solo areas and especially bosses, no other classes can solo! This makes it hard finding DKs who are willing to fight in groups... But now we have strong dwarfs also! So what happends now, is that strong DKs team up with strong dwarves, and exclude the two other classes! Its real easy to see why: Dwarves can afford to use red and purple ess all the time! Mages and Rangers have to pay 4-6 times more essence against the same boss, and their proportional damage is way lower!
    So what is happening now, is that rangers and mages are excluded from a lot of groups simply because of their class!!!
    A well known strategy is simply to go in on a Q2 boss fatal, just the Dwarf and the DK, and let those 2 fight Arachna on their own, and then call in the rangers and mages, when Arachna is allmost dead...
    And this is just the pleasant non-egoistic Dwarves and DKs who does this! Most just down Fatal Grimmag, Arachna, Heredur and Bereach on their own, who can blaime them? -They are forced to make this strategy because of the imbalancing of classes! A dwarf can place a tower, and pay 5 ess and through that tower pump out 2000%+ of their basedamage, with no effort at all! No other class can even come close to this! Is this major problem being adressed? And if so, how high up is it prioritised?

    [4] Dissatisfaction with events in general... Your events this year have met a Helluva lot more dissatisfaction than usual... I know that events in the past has not allways been in everyones taste, and its REALLY hard to please people as different as your playerbase is! -There will allways be someone who doesnt like some events, but this year U guys really made a mess of events in general! (No offence! Im trying to stay objective here ;) )
    So here are my analasys of the problem in general, and some solutions, you might want to consider:
    [4.a] Events are not properly time-calculated... The event we have ATM is a great example of that, New Moon is another example! They take WAY too long to prepare for, and to complete! On the other end of the spectrum, we have Full Moon, which are too easy to prepare for and WAY too easy to complete! Listen to the players, and adjust them accordingly! (I know, that Full Moon just was adjusted, because U guys listened, but it just went from WAY to hard to WAY to easy! ;) )
    [4.b] Events in general have really bad drops as it is now... (I know improvements have been made, but sadly its way too little!) People should be excited over events; they should be able to find usefull stuff easier in events than in normal non-event gameplay! As it is now, the drops from eventmobs are WAY worse than noneventmobs! Lets count the different drops, shall we?
    Andermant -drops better from noneventmobs!
    Gold -drops better from noneventmobs!
    Premiumcubes -actually drops quite ok inside most events except Stellar Gold! (IMHO the best drops are found on the Moonmaps during nonevents)
    Equipment -drops better from noneventmobs!
    Fragments -should only drop outside events anyway, so we are OK on this issue!
    Pots -a lil´ better from noneventmobs, but some events has special potdrops, so in general we are OK on this issue!
    Gems -drops better from nonevenmobs in general! (I know bosses in Moonevents have a required gemdrop, but its simply not enough!)
    Healthsperes -drops better from noneventmobs! This is really unbalanced in some events!
    The problem with drops being worse in events is that you leave players in general exhausted on essences, pots etc., and not satisfied with what they have gained during the event!
    [4.c] Drakens... -Events are unrewardfull not only as stated in [4.b], but also because Drakens are useless ATM! (I know this has been adressed many times before, but no solution has been found so far) -What we need is some way to use Drakens on something usefull, that doesnt become obsolete once we have obtained it! Lemme explain: A lot of us "old" players (as you very well know), have a lot of Drakens ATM, that is just sitting there! We dont wanna raffle them on Gnobs rafflespheres, cause we spent a Heluva lotta time, sweat and tears obtaining them, and we dont need more mounts, companions, emotes or costumes! Our inventories are bursting with that stuff enough as it is! Let us buy stuff we can use!
    Here are some ideas off the top o my head:
    [4.c.a] Let us buy Golden Clowers for Drakens! Maybe 100 or 200 drakens buy 1 golden Clower? That would be AWESOME!
    [4.c.b] Let us buy Andermant for Drakens! Maybe 1 draken buys 10 andermant? Again: AWESOME! (But I could see some problems w this! XD You guys still need an income to keep the game running, so maybe not...LoL)
    [4.c.c] Let us buy Meltingvalue for Drakens! Again: AWESOME!
    [4.c.d] Let us buy Gems for Drakens! Again; AWESOME! (I think U get the idea now, so Ill stop here!)
    [4.d] Fragments droprate... This has been adressed by so many, and you have so many times in twitch and in this tread stated, that you ARE aware of the problem, and focused on finding a solution, so I will not dive too deeply into this! I will just say this: Considering the fact that more and more events require more and more fragments, people in general cant afford to participate in events, and should events not be enjoyable for everyone? -And untill you have found a solution like upping the droprate, why not try and make some events fragmentfree instead of making them more and more fragmentcostly? -Dont you want people to participate in events?

    [5] Why are so many posts being deleted on forum? Dont you want an objective debate on forum? You claim in feedbacktreads, that you want feedback both positive and negative, but I constantly experience negative feedback being deleted by mods, even though the forumrules havent been broken in any way... This a problem many players have...
    Its not that I mind my own posts being deleted so much! -I have time to write more! ;) But it is killing every creative discussion, because Big Brother is watching and intervening in such a harsch way, that only DSO-I-love-you!-I-wanna marry-you-and have-your-kids-players are being heard ATM...
    In the old days, a post was hardly ever deleted, It was censored if obscene words were being used or paragraphs were deleted if those word/paragraphs conflicted with the forumrules... But now I see people write carefully considered posts, pointing out shortcommings in the game and often containing great suggestions being deleted 5-10 mins later, because pointing out shortcomming of DSO aparantly is a no-no nowadays... And I find it sad, to say the least, that the general opinion is being manipulated like this...

    [6] This question is optional (LoL I know that all my questions are! You are not rquired to answer any!) So its OK if you chose to overlook this 1! ;)Its not DSO-related anyway per say, but... Why "Haruki"? Is it the japanese writer, or where did U get that name from?

    Whew! That was quite a lot! I do hope you have the time to read it all! And that you managed it on only 1 cup! Too much caffeine is bad for your health, you know! ;)

    Hi Haruki,

    I appreciate that BP is trying harder to deliver things that players want. Perhaps listening to the odd player has caused such failures, but i still feel that pvp for smaller servers should be given a higher priority. A server merge would be quicker to deliver, and the more complicated solution can be postponed.

    I think that apart from dragan which is long over due, players would be understanding if this was given a higher priority for fairness. There is a lack of capable tanks because dragon knights need the warlord set.

    Regarding the balance of dwarfs and dks in PVE, please either buff mages/rangers instead of nerfing dwarfs and DKs. The underlying problem is monsters health when there are 5 players in a group. If monsters health was 400% in a group of 5 instead of 500%, with a loot bonus for big groups, then stronger players might team up with weaker players more often.

    I would like to see honour points awarded for taking damage, in 5v5, if a tank sits on the flag and cant be killed, it almost garuntees the win yet the player gets next to 0 honour for it. In 1v1, the more you win, the harder oponent you get, but if you defeat harder and harder oponents, you get the same amount of honour each time. It seems really difficult to get 40 pvp skill points, or even 50, perhaps by design. I can only guess how much total time it takes to get so much honour.

    This is quite a stingy situation because they don't know how to balance this without affecting the already broken arena, but you guys are right, my couple runs a DK and goes green essences on fatal bosses, full tank mode, and does fairly well, while I have to go full red with my SW for us to go somewhere. The essence usage between classes in PvE is very, very unbalanced too, Rangers have an even higher ess usage ratio than SW, and Steam Mechanicus have a ridiculously low ratio themselves, my level 38 dwarf with pink/leg equipment and bad gems can solo Grimmag with just 50 red essences, 50, my level 38 ranger uses almost 10 times that, can't remember exactly because I tried months ago and I barely play them, but you can see the clear gap.

    Also it's obvious for everyone which class is able to more easily achieve the highest DPS without disregarding their survivability, though I'm not saying the rest of the classes can't, it's simply easier and cheaper for the dwarves. I personally don't mind too much since I can go pretty much everywhere now, but the one thing I'd like to see balanced on this matter is the essence use ratio for each class according to their DPS possibilities, and this does not mean I'd like you to raise the Dwarf essence use, but mitigate the use for others, especially for rangers.

    After looking over the events scheduled for May, i've realised that there will be no Easter event.Im very dissapointed in you as CMs after seeing something like that i must say.How could you, as community managers allow something like that to happen? The forums and your facebook page is crowded with players asking for dragan event for instance, and despite the fact that you didn't care about all the requests that were made, you didnt even prepare something for this Easter.The first year in DSO when we wont have a Easter event, under you, Haruki and Greg.You keep on "choking" us with these useless Stellar gold events, which have pathetic rewards (apologise for using this word but it is true) instead of actually listening to what your community has to say, like you should.

    Dear CMs, no one wants these Stellar gold events.The rewards are very bad (30 minutes to finish a map and only getting 1 green or blue at the end is what makes it a lame event) and the fact that it costs realm fragments which are pretty hard to come by nowadays make this event even more unappealing.I know im speaking from the entire community when i say that if you dont plan to bring the 1st edition of Stellar gold back (when u were able to make lots of essence/ander/gems and other stuff that every player needs), then please dont waste your and our time with these new Stellar gold editions ( editions that give absolutely nothing good).

    You could say that this new Stellar gold gives a lot of drakens, but the fact is that draken is currently a dead valute, because you allowed that to happen.By not making gems/essence/costumes/pets/mounts or other uniques available for drakens you allowed this currency to die.It is a sad but true fact.Once you get the dragonache and dark set, there is absolutely nothing worth wasting drakens on (excepting the life stealer weapon for warrior).You should know that.
