Newest Dragan Iteration

I know that Dragan hasn't even reached test server yet, but when they teased the new weapon designs on Facebook, I couldn't help coming here to start discussion.

In case you haven't seen them, here it is:


I LOVE the looks of these, particularly the sword! Coolest looking weapon I've seen since Cloaked Wrath. I'm particularly interested in the fact that they come in different colors and what they hinted at in the description on Facebook. "Will you master the powers of the Thunder, the Venom and the Flame and make them yours?" This makes me wonder if these weapons will have elemental damage, even for the DKs... which would be AWESOME!

The sad part is that I know that there is almost no chance that it will be good enough to replace my axe, but I do hope that it is a good enough item that it significant help to players who haven't been as lucky as me. I also hope that down the road we may have the appearance changer so that I can "use" this amazing looking skin.

 

2H Bow?

If and that is a big IF, they accidentally made a good 2h sword that helped some of us, they would find a way to make it nearly impossible to get. Sort of like Bearach's Torturer.

It is so sad that I expect the worst out of DSO instead of good things.

 

Personally I don't think the 2H staff is going to outclass the one I currently have, I'm 98% sure of that, not because my staff is uber, but because it outclasses Bearach's by some decent numbers, and I highly doubt they're going to make something more powerful than that, but I absolutely adore the designs, *for now* I don't care if they're "poop on a stick" stat-wise, I'm getting them!.

Also, regarding swords, I'm more inclined for double-edged sword designs, but these ones are quite nice as well, I'm sure I'll be getting at least one for my DK, since he needs a better one (I blame you for my enthusiasm on playing a DK btw).

I'm truly hyped for the first time in months lol, Dragan was my first big event and was a corner stone for reaching where my toon is now, I'm glad to see they're adding something new, and despite I said I highly doubt these weapons are going to be of some use for slightly-above-than-average toons like mine, I hope they at least have some use, and I'd love to be proven wrong! (A man can dream )

If this turns out to be good overall, I'll be more than glad to spend the resources I saved for an infamous feature which left me sitting on a mountain of unused currencies after its release.

Since the designs are all we have to discuss so far, I'm giving this pieces a 9/10 and that's just because of minor details on the bow (those horns) and the cannon, that I personally don't like very much.

 

Even with crappy stats i would take the bow and the sword just to farm q3m1 bosses because they look so nice. Especialy the bow for rangers but given the fact all the items they done for rangers "beararch bow, gnobs quiver" i think this one will be as bad as that ones so its good to have it only for the looks and because its an "unique item"

 

i love to see long bow with life steel ability like the life hammer that ruined the game......

 

That hammer doesn't have life steal. It has HP Regen on block. For someone who whines so much about the game, one would think that you'd eventually take the time to learn what you're talking about.

Then maybe all you need is a better command of the English language because "long bow with life steel ability like the life hammer" means that you are comparing your desired bow to the hammer and saying that the hammer has life steal.

 

If these weapons deal elemental damage, this would be a game changer. Most players have more armor than resistance values.

 

Yeah, quite interesting!

I'm also curious about the new achievements you can see in-game, amongst the other Dragan-event ones. Something with killing a spider-boss. Maybe she drops these, IDK. And/or maybe this means the spider mount will make a return. That'd be sick =D.

 

Yes a game changer for PVP ... now it is one - two shots kill ... with elemental damage it would be "show your weapon and let your opponent commit suicide" .

 

According to the guide, elemental versions just give elemental resistance.

 

Yes ... but no one was claiming they are dealing elemental damage ... they were all guessing or discussing "what IF".

Elemental resistance and some elemental "skill" stat.

We don't know about the poison or lighting but I'd assume something similar to the fire one... that is, some elemental skill with % chance of activating and cool down time.

 

I'm going for an electrical surge (round or cross) and a poison pool.
