Get a crit or hp pet, you need both far more than an armor pet.

I do ... i am working on the last achievement title ... but he is not at that level yet.
    He don't need that pet.

So... I took advantage of the gnob's offer and used my draken to buy the Bloodtooth, but it wasn't the miracle maker that I was expecting. Well... since I barely had 4% CHR...
And since I bought it... I tried to reshuffle my equipment for a build around the Bloodtooth.
And this is the best I could pull:
    And with my previous axe:
I replaced the Defender's wpn adrnmnt with one that has 3 CHR lines. I lose over 100 dmg and a gem slot with this.
In the end I managed to pull a 22% CHR.
I was thinking of opening a slot on the adrnmnt but I guess there's no speed break point waiting for that 3.10 gem.
I also moved a few wisdom points from atk to HP to come closer to 10000HP.
So... the CHR lines are like this (their values are kinda low-medium): I replaced the 7 dmg gem with the 120 CHR one in the sword, 1 line in the amulet, 1 in the cape, 2 in the belt, 2 in the ring and 3 in the wpn adrnmnt.

I use the sword because I'm sick of slow atk speeds, and I get a decent amount or critical hits.

What would you guys choose, the critical wpn adrnmnt or the 8.88% dmg one? FYI with the dmg one I get over 100 dmg but the CHR drops to 14%.

PS: The last FullMoon event was a lucky one, I finally got a shield, among a crappier helmet the costume and a 100 draken drop, but it has a medium value of 121.46. It will just gather dust until they fix the new long time map loading bug(s).

    --MERGED--

Got another axe with DPS lower than the sword, but I'll switch to it for the critical... and I'll use the defender adornment for 100dmg more in exchange for 7%CHR.
I'll use my new 15% atk speed gloves, and switch again do my 3 armor line (1HP) boots.
So, my new stats will be like:
    -----------
I guess I ain't fresh meat anymore ;) since I now understand the "lines" talk.
    ...............
Question: I came to the conclusion that the Witch Chaser and Keen's sets kinda complete each other somehow... I mostly refer on the 11% (atk & travel) speed bonus, that would kinda make you use them instead of some boots and gloves with speed lines. Am I right?
I'm a glove away from completing the Keen and 2 parts away on the Witch Chaser.
What should I do about the atk speed once I complete the Keen's set?

Yes, we can see it that way.

I hope you are saving or have plan to save andermant to buy attack speed gem pack from gem sale like yesterday.

I wanted to buy the 3 polished sapphires pack, but luckily (my math doesn't recommend the acquisition of those packs) I was 2000 ander short or maybe more... forgot the price.
But I was hinting at the use of wisdom points on atk speeed.

Witch chaser has 11.1% for attack speed. If you combine with keens, then you'll probably have to invest in sapphires for your adornment and jewels of rage in your helmet/cloak if you want attack speed.

The other sources of attack speed for 2H dks thay you could use with a witch chaser + keens setup would be an attack speed pet, the ring of fortitude (not recommended for dk's), the tear holder ring, the timeshift amulet if you have it and the gloom cloak if you have it.

It really depends on what speed you choose to achieve.

Use the speed breakpoints for your basic attack to figure out what you want to do. I use the 5% attack speed pet and with 2 points in attack speed i can get to 1.34, which takes me just past the 1.3333 breakpoint for my basic attack.

If you are just short of a breakpoint, using 1 or 2 or at most 3points is worth considering. If not, HP and damage are better places for wisdom points.

I completed Keen's set yesterday, with a rate of one piece per month and no doubles :D...
Now... it's gonna gather dust because it ruins my present poor build. So I'm not gonna exchange my 30%CHR and 1.00% atk speed for some armor, HP, travel speed and a 10%CHR that lowers my current build's CHR.
I guess that it isn't worth using it alone, and it's more usable for a 1H&Sh tank build... too bad!

I officially hate you now :D 3 months for the keens set, congrats. If it were only that easy for all of us.

Quick question: do you have 4650 ander, or can you save that amount rather easily?

Due to farming for the updated Machine set, I was looking at the refreshed scaleable uniques from the merchant. The "Steam Axe" used to be rather good before R155 and the crit nerf and LVL 45 was the cap, but after, it became a lot less useful. Now with R166, they updated its stats and made it relevant again for two reasons... First, it scales, meaning you get a LVL 50 weapon. Second the stats are actually rather impressive.

If comes with the normal base stats for an axe, including the 1387 crit, but then it has +120% weapon damage and +2400 crit. That is comparable to a legendary axe with 2x 60% lines and 2x 1200 crit lines. Not exactly OP, but very good for the price. It costs 6199 ander, but if you wait for a gear sale, you could snag it for 4650. Then, if you farm in Stalgard/Destructor and find the boots/gloves, you could get the 2/5 and 3/5 bonuses of 15% crit damage and 15% attack speed on top of those items bases stats.

I have around 3000 ander and it will probably take some time to gather that.
I'll check out tomorrow that set, but was the Steam Belt, that I melted a long time ago, a part of it?

It is, but it's purchasable from the merchant now.

Yes and no. The Machine belt can be bought and is a part of this set, but the other set has a belt too and that was the one you got from the quest.

I went to Andrakasch to see the set(s)...
But first... I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but I went to Stalgard after a long time just to check out if the set actually drops for me (and then to think further whether to buy that or not), and in my first run (I did just 3, none consecutively) barely reached the middle of the first chamber, and:
I think it dropped from the turret.
    Stats:
Okay... Let's go to the axe:
The damage is pretty low, and my gems (see in my axe... and I think I can probably make another 7 dmg one) won't raise it too much... It will probably go up to around 460 DMG/sec.
Despite the CHR that would skyrocket in my built... and the atk speed too if I happen to find the gloves, my damage would drop... and my armor too, and quite a lot since my boots have 3 armor lines (see above^^).
Would you buy it in this situation?

I got the boot also... it appear the damage line is constant 10.

If I was level 43 and don't have better 2h and have andermant, Yes I would buy.
But if i'm at your position right now, I will not. And use your current axe. Even below 600dps, 569.43dps axe still hard to get.
Yes the %crit dam that the set offer(also individual item) also the other set that is typical is very interesting. But I have to think that they are complimentary, If I can afford to loose some defensive stats, then good I can use it.

You guys are lucky! I'm at 350 runs of Destructor over 4 days and farmed 31 uniques and no boots.
That 2400 extra crit is worth 21.63% Crit rate on it's own. Factor in your Bloodtooth and that is 27.03% crit. Yes, you'd lose some damage, but that extra crit would likely greatly improve your overall DPS. Estimate your stats and plug them in here. If you are having trouble estimating your stats, give me a couple screen shots and I'll see what I can do.

Always consider DPS. I fell into the trap of only looking at dmg and suffered.

Your progress (and luck) have been fun to follow. You're doing really well at this point, so be careful and smart, do not get impatient or sidetracked.

I could not find your effective HP calculator spreadsheet here on the forum, but at this point bLaind needs to consider that aspect also along with the DPS. (It would be nice if we could get a mod to pin that particular spreadsheet).
