It very much depends on what you want to do in the game, and your play-style.

If you want to play PvP and make the most of the midget's ability to recover steam and HPs and use Iron Midget mode for running flags, you will need to go 1-hand with a good shield, fast boots, good armour and resis, and high HPs. Make the most of Tactical Turrets and Steam Recovery. But midget's near-immortality is about to be heavily nerfed.

If you want to do mostly quests and events, 1-hand may be the best early on unless you can reliably group with a tank or solid group-mate who can take the impact while to dish out the dmg. Later on, 2-hand is really the way to go. Ignore CHR and CD - your turrets will do your main dmg and they can't score crits. Go for high dmg and keep your speed reasonable. Machine guns do base * attack speed. And they shred mobs fast - especially when you throw a C-14 rocket into the mix. If you have got good level rubies, go for a gun with high "+inc. % weapon dmg". If your gems are a bit "meh", then go for high pure dmg on your gun.

Others will undoubtedly have their own views. And you will find a lot of good advice scattered throughout the forum too. If in doubt: ask. The midget used to be the over-looked class. But it is a lot of fun to play now.

hi, thx for the reply. Im going for quest n events mostly pve.
    1. What do u mean by early (1-25?) and later on u said is refer to after 25 lvl?
    2. I don't get the abbreviation of CHR, CD and "+inc. %" is?
    3. If for PVE, what skill build should i pump into? like skill1 2,3 and forget about 5?
    4. the SM side do not have a lot of advice n guide abt this little bugger tho. >.< which i found kinda hard for me.

sorry for some bad english if have due to not first language.

Wait... a SERIOUS @SirMadMan post? :D Feels like I caught a rare Pokemon!

    1. Yup, levels 1-25 and 25-50.
    2.
    • CHR = critical hit rate, so if your CHR is 50%, it means that your attacks will deal critical hits 50% of the time.
    • CD = critical damage, so if your CD is 200%, it means that your critical hits will deal 200% dmg.
    • +inc. % = % dmg on your weapon, so if your weapon dmg is 10-20 dmg but has a line that says "50% extra dmg," it means that your weapon dmg is actually 15-30.
    3. SirMadMan can probably give great advice on this too! But you can also try ALL the different skills to see which ones you like. You won't be able to unlock all of them from the beginning so you can only choose those that are available to you at your lvl, then when you reach lvl 50, you can choose all the skills you like the best.

Oops, didn't mean for it to come off that way! There isn't really a divide between lvl 25 and 26... I think what SirMadMan meant was that if you find that you die a lot, use 1H. If you have gear good enough that you don't die much, then use 2H!

Yes. Exactly what Scythe said. When you start out, your gems are low level and few in number and you don't have enough glyphs to boost item and most of your items will have crappy stats anyway. Much of the game involves running like a rabbit to try and stay alive. Defense is important. As your items and gems improve - along with your skill/experience - you can have a bit of fun and start switching to a more offensive game play.
