Like MegaNuker said ... best option for 2H are 3x %weapon damage and 1x damage ... with all rubies at any tier

 

Well, with the exception of really low tiers. I seem to remember that if you go too low, a 2/2 becomes better. I'll check when I actually start to care about DSO again. I'm still a little off about the whole crafting issue.

 

Thanks. I am an SM, and will craft a 2h with 4 lines of % damage. I dont have 100 rubies or 55, but its an easier craft, and my current 2h is fairly good so will craft the 2h later. My char will benefit more from attack speed gloves etc..

 

I think this thread should be made "sticky"?

 

I miss the point of maths with the chances.... i got 2 blue gloves 1 gold line each... more than 300 attempts(yea... i did the count)...
0 results with both lines... also same "luck" with amulets 2gold lines one, 1gold line 2nd one... close to 100 attempts.... 0 results.... conclusion... i should spent all that gold on jesters for getting anders and grow up my gems..., i learned the lesson... stop crafting

No man you got it all wrong ... don't stop the process ... but change the methods.

 

Change the Methods?... how?... i only see a way... combine S1/2 with gold lines and filling S3/4 with 4 slot items, or 1 gold line each. Whatever i get first... but i have lost already to much gold, i find this a waste of resources and time. The only decent things i could craft was the 2 handed and cuirass

 

Like all the luck in this game, it comes and goes at the whim of the PRNG. I've had days where I've been able to get a 3/4 legendary on my second try of the day (against odds of 9.09%), and I've had others where I couldn't even pass a gold line from a green to a blue in 10 tries (which only has a 7.5% chance of happening in a streak like that.) I can tell you one thing with 100% certainty. You will never get some of these amazing items if you quit. I've gone from 9.7k DPI before Crafting 2.0 to over 19.6k after my most recent craft because I've approached this methodically, patiently, and analytically. In the end, the law of averages wins out and you get what you need.

P.S. "Change methods" could involve finding 1/3 exos and using them ins S3/4 despite the slots. It is easier to farm andermant than it is to farm for these sorts of items, and as long as you don't get a 1 slot or 0 slot legendary, it isn't that bad.

Makes it much easier to find. I can't think of how many times I've had to go hunting when someone asked me a question about this.

 

So far i have used EVERY blue gloves i found regardless it's kind of lines and slots and no way to craft the exo, even several times i tried keep 20 gloves to do 10 attempts at once... and nothing... may be it's about stop trying for some time, and keep trying later

 

Like ... don't make one crafting attempt now ... one 30 minutes later ... and another two attempts 2 hours later

 

Does it really make a difference

 

Yes. The PRNG gets in to ruts. It is the same reason why you might find two uniques in 30 min, but then not see another one for weeks. If the PRNG is stuck pulling stats from the 3rd and 4th items, then coming back at another time allows the PRNG to shift ruts.

 

So, if you see that the picked lines are often from the 3rd and 4th items in, say, 3 crafts, come back later ?

 

I would. It isn't an exact science, but it couldn't hurt much.

I think i will try do this, but it's a inventar issue to keep stuff until find the "luck"...

 

That is your main issue ... when you want to craft an item ... you must have plenty of inventory space.

 

And i was trying boots, amulet and gloves at same time xD

 

I can not prove it. What I know is PRNG bless come mostly when I least expected.
So yea, sometimes I delay craft. This also give me time just in case I got better ingredients or better junk.
Also did like thebearreturns did. Some all failed. Sometimes good result only with item that isn't my priority.
