5th Anniversary Event Arena ... chests?

I'm probably the weakest Lvl50 Ranger on the planet, so just now finally chose to use my 1 arena chip with no real expectations other than to see what it was like.

I clicked the flag, monsters spawned; I killed them; more monsters spawned; I killed them; more monsters spawned; I killed them ... you get the idea.

Eventually, enough monsters spawned so that I couldn't keep up with them, I wasn't quick enough on the health pot and died; I didn't choose to respawn myself, just exited in shame .

My question: Where were the chests? Was I still just in the first wave, with all of the spawning cycles of various more dangerous creatures mini-waves within that first wave? Where's the reward? Oh I did get one Ancient Wisdom scroll. Thanks

 

How many flags did you click? If you only clicked one, you never completed the first wave before dying.

The chests are to the right of the corresponding flag.

 

That was what I was afraid of: My toon and I are too weak to survive even the 1st round. Do I need purple or red essence? Sigh. Another event I'll have to take a pass on.

Each wave is about 3-5 min long and consists of multiple smaller waves. You know you've finished a full wave when you kill a mini boss that spawns in the middle. For the first two waves, it is a DK. From the sound of it, you didn't survive the first wave and probably need a small group to get anywhere.

No, that would be a wast for the drops you get from the chests. The drops aren't that good until the 7th-10th chests, IMHO.

 

Take a pass on doing the arena solo. If you can, try it in a group. A group can use 40 ander revive stones, so dying is less costly; additionally, a group would split up the aggro as well as allow synergy from armor breaks, etc.

You can also just focus on pw farming and doing the eggs. I like to use the buffs to bost my cots; i typically farm 150+ egg openers, then just run grimmag only opening eggs and ignoring monsters.

 

FBI map is far, far more efficient for egg opening. The mobs are too weak to make you dismount...

 

I use Crypt of Kings/ Catacombs. There is an egg on the second little broken pathway sticking out of the top of Crypt and on the first stairway landing in Catacombs... So back and forth I go... But it's very efficient.

In FBI, there are seven eggs in a very small and straight map that has a door at both ends for resetting. I've done a lot of exploring, but I have yet to see a more efficient place to farm the eggs. I've spent over 250 openers in the time of a 10 min buff and gotten over 1000 CoTs with a +10 buff. I don't ride on my mount because too often the mobs can box you in. Instead, I dump all my knowledge points from life into run speed and put on any run speed gear I can. In that way, I can use my jumps, charge, and FBC to move through the maps as fast as possible and I never get stuck for more than a split second.

 

There's an egg just outside of Gorga's cave. I haven't timed how long it takes to go in and out of that door, but it's fairly quick. Let's say 10 seconds round-trip including opening the egg and picking up the CoTs (ignore the pyrotechnics). That's 300 openers in 10 minutes.

 

The most efficient for me is the egg outside of gorgas map.
Go in any dungeon u want and farm the egg openers things the go at gorgas portal right in fron of the door will spawn an egg everytime u exit from gorga do that with a buff im sure tou wont be dissapointed.
I mean u could find a map with more eggs and mark their spots on map but u wont get the most out of ur buff cuz u gonna travel a minute from one egg to another and thats a minute ur not using the buff

 

I know the egg and you really need to time it. With reloads, it is way more than 10 seconds.

 

With full speed you can do minimum 7 runs of FBI, so ~50 eggs, with a +10 buff it's a minimum of 650 COT.

With the slow servers we get on this event, the reload + egg opening takes like 20 seconds. That means 30 eggs opened ->390 COT.

 

you are right but I said that way is more efficient me bcz im lvl 44 i dont know yet what the FBI map is.
I shared this way witht he guy who made the topic bcz its an easy way and as he said he is having troubles doing the arena event

 

FBI = Foxarrific Burrow of Investigations HQ, level 27-28 area. I might be wrong but I think it is this place.

FBI is the best place for egg farming.
There are 7 eggs and the map is straight and short. Activate a buff and run.
The other maps are requiring reset by exiting the door ... and then entering again. That is too much time spent on map loading.
In FBI you can use universal map and always start from same spot (travel stone) ... that is only one map loading.

BTW ... now the eggs are respawning in the maps. I still don't know what is the respawn time ... but if it is fast you can clear the map at start and then activate the buff and run the map from end to end ... until your buff ends up.
