Congrats! That is a very respectable axe and I'm sure it boosted your DPS big time.

The one on the right will have about 710-940 damage when you move the rubies over without any upgrades. (Note: I just eyeballed this and did not actually do the math.)

Also, the speed gem in the weapon is a waste of the %dmg enchant.

    Luck be with ye,
    Mikey,

The on the right has potential, but because it is LVL 45, it will be very expensive to upgrade to 50 and beyond. That will reduce your available crit and potentially your damage. Can you show us how far 40M can get you on the right one? I know it is another 16M before you can improve the one on the left again, but knowing how far your glyphs will get you with the other one can help the estimates.

I think I would stick with the level 52 axe and put those 40 million glyphs elsewhere if mikey's 710-940 is correct. But it would be helpful if you could post upgrade shots as to what you have with the glyphs in them because I can't recall the upgrade values.

Thanks to @_Baragain_ Your instruction and your badass axe inspired me so much. :D
    Here is my current result:

It was not what I expected (an axe) but still an acceptable choice till now.
I can reach 8k dmg at a cost of 10% critical hit rate less.

ya rest of my rubies are just polished range, so they dont do much for the dps boost, so..

Hey guys, farming fatal and this dropped...not craft.
Came with 4 gem slots and upgraded to 55 it adds 600 base damage compared to my axe which can only be upgraded to 52.

That is a beautiful start. Congrats.
I'd go with the left one. Those costs quickly go from reasonable to insane. Even leveled to 50, it world only be an ok improvement.

Plug your stats into a DPS Calculator and see what pops out. Here is one of the more popular ones. http://dsopage.bplaced.net/

But at a bare minimum, that hammer is a very nice ingredient to use in crafting to try to make a better axe. Those are two nice % damage lines.

With the hammer 4socket i have 5,4k basedamage and over 1k more DPI (5293 to 6653)
I use the hammer now instead of axe :3

Sounds like a plan. In the long term end game, axes beat hammers by a tiny bit, but on your way there, you go with what you've got. 1.4k DPI at your DPI is huge. That is 20% of your total DPI after all is said and done or 25% of your "before" DPI. For me to get a 25%/20% increase of the same magnitude as you, I'd need to gain nearly 5k DPI. That is no small feat.

Not great... It is a 0/4 legend with only 1 slot... But you have the right idea and I'm assuming you dropped that by the lack of yellow lines... Which is really lucky... And it works just fine for now.

It isn't bad for an "in the meantime" axe, but you need to do one thing right now. Take that polished sapphire out of the weapon, and put it in your decoration and put a ruby in the weapon.

Sapphires give no special bonus if placed in the weapon, but the rubies take advantage of the % weapon damage. You have nearly 95% weapon damage, so for every 11 damage worth of rubies (polished) will increase your weapon damage by 21.45 and then that gets multiplied by the % weapon damage you get from the behemoth skill, and then that gets multiplied by any % damage you get from the points spend on %damage knowledge. In the end, a +11 ruby in that weapon could be worth up to 48 damage (unless you have % damage on your torso which would make it even better) in your final stats if you put in your weapon, but if you had that same gem in your decoration, it would only receive the damage boost from the individual points spent on knowledge (or torso) and would be worth up to 17 damage. It is one of the worst mistakes you can make to put a ruby in a decoration instead of a % weapon damage weapon.
