And that's just it; the event is only for top and paying players, casual/semi-hardcore and free players don't even need to bother with the event.
Only items worth getting are mount and costume, since they are unique to the event and they are obtainable only by few players.

5th anniversary should be joyful celebration, not looking at things you just can't have. Unfortunately, it's a failure.

Like I said, DK events need drastic changes in concept; they need to be made so all players can get some kind of reward, and I'm not talking about blue essences and maybe couple of gems.
Even some hardcore players just don't have time to farm all day.
And I agree about removing andarment purchases for event; every player should earn their rewards.

If you only got 500 cots in a week something has been done wrong. I played the event only the last 3 days and i now have 9999 Cots 10 arena chips and 350 openers.

I'm not p2w. I'm not playing 4 years. I'm playing 3 weeks now. Had a team of 5 normal players and we won 6 times in a row. To win you have to use teamwork. Have spirit stones and purple-red essence. if someone dies instantly revive him and dont think someone else will. Sadly its harder to find a group with players that aren't selfish by reviving no one.
Anyway, what should i get? The mount, ~15k red essence or maybe ~30k purple?

The hardcore rewards are for the hardcore players, but anyone can get something useful out of the event.

If you need a quick way to farm green/blue items, the arena is pretty efficient.

You are a hardcore player or/and lucky enough to have a good farming group, but, unfortunately, you're in a minority.
Again, if all I can get from a 5th anniversary celebration event are some blue essences and cheap gem/s, something is a miss...

Ah, that is not quite correct. :p
The egg is there because it took you more than 50 seconds to get to Miller and die. They don't re-spawn because you are dead.
That just shows how inefficient that method is ... you are opening one egg in 50 seconds while it takes me a same time for a full map run and opening 7 eggs.

    EDIT

I have opened 10 Zumpe pinatas at TS ... in the time when the drops were not nerfed (the first day this event came to TS).
I have got 1 small travel speed gem, 1 small armor gem , 1 chicken pet and 7 costumes.

I've been doing Tegan's Sanctuary since you posted this. I like it much better than FBI or anything else I tried.

As for the my feedback for the event, now that I am done with it, I found the whole thing rather mediocre. Not much of a "celebration" for the fifth anniversary. Just the usual boring, grinding stuff that is par for events these days.

The drop rate of openers was way too low. (Or the requirement for 5 needed to open an egg too high, either way.)

That modified Stellar Gold arena was a bit better but still an overall fail for basically the same reason's as most folks said in previous SG feedback. Personally I feel it should be retired from the game if the dev's are unwilling to scale it down to a faster more doable version. Ironically the improved drop rate from the mobs was problematic. I had to sort thru and discard items in between waves to finish all 10 (and I have more than enough open tabs to pick up stuff in any other situation in the game.)

    Luck be with ye,
    Mikey,

I didn't get a mount and costume !!! It took me all week to accumulate an amazing total of 648 crystals of truth. The one trudgen (stick) I bought with crystals got me 1 "+14 resistance gem". And I paid 1400 andermant for 7 sticks to get a mount that only cost 1458 andermant (so no prize there).

For an Anniversary Event... I'm really disapointed. Now I have 148 crystals and 6 egg openers. What do I do with them????

Admittedly, I didn't get very far (died before finishing first level with one toon, died at the start of the 2nd level with another toon; discarded all chips after that ['all' = 5 between 4 toons after playing ~2 hours a day per toon for the week ... yes, egg opener drop sucked], but, I got zero drops in the arena itself. The mobs were supposed to drop greens/blues/etc.? I got nothing other than the contents of that one chest. PRNG fail?

The drops really start in the later rounds. No PRNG fail, you just didn't stay alive long enough.

You get more in the last two rounds than you do in the eight leading up to it. Novadude is right. You never got past the slow and boring part.

Hello Everyone, I would like to say some things about this game. I'm very new here very green horn new I love this game love ît love it. I didn't even pay attention to this event thing. I started playing these types of games when your elve, knight, wizard or ranger etc etc looked more like a stick on the screen, I actually stumbled upon this game by pure accident. Since we can't name other games on here, Let me just say I've played them, I own a few sets of the others and played over and over, But this game tops them all for me just with the graphics alone it won me over. Then I almost danced with joy like a child when I made enough to actually buy my dapple grey mount and could ride in the game. I have been on this game everyday since finding it. I went around picking up egg pouches and the whole Seven days I gathered enough to buy two stick pinata breakers got two gems. It took hours and hours just for two. I'm just saying I cannot see how even with as some of you state as a group you even got so many. And no I did not buy anything to help nor did I see this bug thingy . But I will say I have noticed more flying people and strange animals about. Also a couple of times during my wandering about I encountered a couple of rude creatures. One was a drawf and the other a wizard. But it's just a game and there will always be cheaters, fact of life. I do hope that This game stays for a long time.. I'm totally surprised I just found it a month back and it's been around for five years. Oh well I must have been fighting dragons elsewhere Far, far away. I had to start a thread on here the other day because I couldn't get out of a cave. Remember it's just a game. So as the song goes. Shake it off.

I edited the quote a bit, but ...

In hindsight, looks like the thing to do is farm a few hundred egg openers, use one of the CoT buffs, then pop all the eggs you can in 10 minutes, hoping you get a few Arena chips. Then hit the Arena for the real CoT bonanza (if you can survive the waves of monsters). This is not a solo event for low to average toons. Many of the players who comment on the Forum are top-end players, can farm much more efficiently than you or I, so could rack up 400-500 egg openers in an hour or two (instead of all week for me x 4 toons ... I'm developing 3 alts ... I think I gathered about 1,100 egg openers between the 3 of them and my main toon). These elite players can blast through the Arena and open all of the chests to gain tons more CoT.

As for the game itself, I've quit a couple of times due to boredom, lack of progress, frustration with events, etc. But the graphics draw me back. It's really a visual and auditory treat. BigPoint has made several extremely questionable decisions over the last year which have changed the game quite a bit, chiefly for the worse. Many top players have given up. A few are leaking back, nostalgic for the game they once loved. BP has recently begun addressing some of the players' major concerns, albeit not always effectively, but at least they are making some attempts to appease us.

This event, on the other hand, is an example of the huge gap between what the players hunger for and what BP is willing to deliver. Other than the few players who took advantage of a bug, based on my own experiences and the comments I've read here and in other threads, I'd guesstimate 95% of the players were sorely disappointed by the event.
