    That is the reason. You don't have a true 2H weapon which is worth more than a 1H weapon. Longbows have more in common with a DK's mace because they have the same sort of stats as the other 1H weapons.

    I just accidently checked price before melting and found one sword almost 5 times worth more but both are junk for melting. Never paid attention before, I thought prices vary very little for the same items :)

    Now you see why I check my 2h weapons. Those with damage and crit sell better than % damage and % crit damage, and you can see just how much difference. When you look at LVL 50 weapons, some magic 2Hs sell for 1.5+ gold. That is why I also check the exo prices. I've seen some exo 2Hs sell for less than 1 gold while the ones with 3 crit/damage can sell for over 4.5. Not all melt is created equal. I laugh anytime someone tells me that they sell all their blues because some are worth more as currency, some are worth more for upgrading. They may both be junk, but one is junk that should go to the merchant, and the other is junk that should get melted down.

    so its easier to farm gold with the other classes then? its the same for mage and SM 2H I take it?

    Only a little bit. 2H weapons are not very common, and as bennfros shows, they either sell really well or really poorly. I'd say that only about 50% or less are worth selling and they make up maybe 1%-3% of my daily farm.

    On a separate note, it is less expensive for you to upgrade your high damage weapon, so maybe the melt is more valuable for you anyway.

    when I get a high damage weapon I will worry about that haha. my crafting experience so far has been very poor, but have the ingredients to keep trying each time I get enough gold

    My new ring :) yeah, crafting and Math work :)

    It had 3 slots when crafted should you ask.
    I used 3/4, 3/4, 1/4, 1/4 as an input.

    New belt. Didn't really need this one, until I craft 3 more other items, but there was an ingredient out of cubes. 3/4, 3/4, 2/4, 1/4

    My new DPS:

    This is just by switching the torso without further modifications and gem relocation (it's not like I have great gems anyway)... The armor went down to 3671 (60,77%). Even tho it seems enough for farming painful maps, I'll have to make some changes to get back some armor and res. into my build. I'll end up losing a CHR line and a crit dmg one.

    Nice improvement. We all live for the day where we find or make that one item that does more for your build than weeks of farming gems, andermant, or glyphs. Congrats, and fingers crossed for a 3/4 legendary in your near future.

    Nice defensive item, but on a legendary helmet, I'd either want % crit rate, or a unique to replace it. Most of the DPS sets use a helmet, so this item is likely one of the first items that will need to go when you start improving your toon.
