1 - You didnt have to post 2 different messages showing what you got. There is a button called "Edit" you could have used.
2 - This is the wrong thread for that thing. Try the "Lucky groups of drops", this is a thread for showing your good class (Not sure if this is the DK one or not).

 

thanks for all the advice guys, but the whole problem here is, is that im not motivated whatsoever do farm full moon hardcore seen as it is (in my opinion) very boring
id rather get excited over having 0,00001% dropchance of heredur helmet than knowing i will get wolf shield for sure in a certain period of time. i feel like being surprised with a very good drop is more rewarding than farming for months and knowing that you will obtain a certain item 100% if you know what im saying

Maybe it would fit better in the lucky-groups-of-drops thread, but this is indeed the DK show-off thread and it's not an official one...
Therefore, not a big "mistake", if one at all.

Well, good mindset if you really want to bet on that very small chance as opposed to farming something specific at specific dates.

I think I finally made a good enough 1h to try out, I've always been a 2h DK but I think this axe has the optimal stats?

If you move your rubies the weapon will have 460-533 dmg. I would love to use that weapon but I am a 1H DK, I think you should try it and see if you like it.

 

I was having a chat with someone the other day about the importance of spending glyphs on a weapon. Sure, you 'only' get 'a little' damage from each level up, but the % damage on the weapon and the % damage from torsos and % damage from knowledge and the % damage from the warlord set, the little damage is not so little. How much you ask? I was doing some weapon crafting attempts and had the gems and glyphs off my weapon, so here is a rare look at my build without gems or glyphs.

First, here I am without my weapon.

Because I have no damage from anything other than my weapon, this is just base damage, green essence, and the % damage from knowledge/torso.

Here is the empty weapon:

Not bad, but not impressive, is it?

Adding in the glyphs...

So the "little bit" of damage I get from my glyphs is 641-973 damage... Not what I would call little.

Now we put the gems back in (163 damage)...

And that 163 damage from gems is actually worth 1713 damage.

So what did we learn today? Glyphs are important, but gems are a huge deal.
I'm still working on crafting my 4/4, but it is easy to see why the % damage is so important in the big picture. I still plan to lose 1293 damage in favor of 18% more crit rate and 50% crit damage, but that will be from losing a damage line on the axe instead of losing % damage impacting the gems or the weapon's base damage... The gems are just too important.

 

If I may ask, What is your weapon damage? With and without rubies and glyphs.

The max %wd line is 80% (Who knows the min value)that is like 7,999 different options now I also am not sure his weapon enchants so it could be + 100 or something like that dmg so is that like 799,900 options? But what if he has 4x %wd lines.... But WAIT THERE IS MORE! What rubies could he have? There are like 10 different rubies or something like that so maybe 7,999,000 options... I am pretty sure he is using an axe so that isnt a problem. But what lvl is his weapon right now? That is hmm 39,955,000 options. You know what you are right! I will just tell me friends I will give them 10M dollars if they help me split the job and see you in like 20 years? Something like that. Thanks for the tip I really need to stop being a lazy human and start doing stuff myself or else I will never learn and I will just be an idiot.

Oh wait I can just code a program that does that for me .
But that will still give me a lot of options to do a guess who.

 

Now it's my turn to be disappointed... You you are assuming things that are simply deduced facts (like that it is an axe from the crit gain she equipping the weapon), and I even said that it is 163 damage (38, 38, 29, 29, 29) worth of rubies in the post.

I didnt asume it was an axe. I just know that is what you have. Also I know I could have went and found out but I wasnt sure if you got a better one. Not every weapon is worth showing, it might have been just a tiny bit better than what you had so you didnt show it.

In fact, with that and a couple of junk legendaries, I crafted this:

But the 106 damage line was one of the junk lines . I reverted this beauty, but not before feeling at least a little bit bad.

If it had been either the 77.77% or the 78.81% lines in place of the 106, I'd have my ideal weapon and have been over the moon.

I can't believe you revert this axe !
This is "not much" diference between this or axe who you want (yes i know is 89 dmg on top). Still this axe who revert is really very very good.

 

As described elsewhere, there are lots of other damage modifiers after the weapon damage. That 89 damage is actually closer to 279 damage in the final build, and once that passes through the crit and crit damage, that could easily account for 1k or more DPS. In my book, "almost" (or "not much" difference) is not good enough. I'm not willing to lose 2x%damage lines over 77.5% and a crit line over 1720 for anything less than my ideal weapon. The amount of time that it would take me to farm enough to make another 3/4 legendary and attempt to combine it with this one would be insane and I would find myself facing the same odds at getting the axe that I really want since it would be 4x% damage lines and 2x crit lines going into the bench along with the damage line that I desperately would love to see disappear.

My philosophy when it comes to crafting is similar to my philosophy for gambling (both in the virtual world and the real world). Set a hard line and never deviate from your pre-decided standard. Also, never gamble with what you can't afford to lose. Meet those two requirements and you will never regret your decisions.


Also, what if BP comes along in 6 months and introduces a new tier of gem? Say a +48 damage gem? I'd be kicking myself for not going for the extra % damage. I believe in future proofing gear as much as possible and because of that, % stats almost always outweigh absolute stats in any near tie.

 

Its not 89, but 50, assuming we use median dmg not maximum. Also, it is a matter of gems. The first one is less sensetive to the top gems. And, it is a matter of time. After a month of crafting, you can actually predict how much time would it take to craft the perfect one, unless you get lucky. And if that time is months not weeks, I would accept that beauty as temporary, if that drastically improves current DPS. If not, I would revert it too.

 

I would expect soon the level 55 than next tier gems. I understand your decision. But still this axe is for lvl 50-55 is enough. Lots of player day after day going to craft table and still not result weapon as you... If you make your ideal weapon for some more months of crafting... But good luck for next few months of crafting...

Love play with White Karabossa set and 3/5 Darkness set and this stats of axe would be fantastic for my build. Amulet, belt and one ring can be for full critical damage.
