you guys are a piece of work us players get an edge cause of a programming error-so instead of just letting things be you make us farm 55 million glyphs to get to the level that EDIT

  3. Would you rather they ban you or impose some sort of ridiculous sanctions for "exploiting an obvious bug?"

You pretty much acknowledge that it gave people an edge because of a programming error. Did you honestly think that they would do nothing? That would be worse, because then everyone else would be complaining about how people got a "powerful" item without as much work as they should have.

Long story short, the developers acknowledged the mistake and intend to fix it. This isn't the first time that there was an item bug that gave people an undue advantage, but I do think that this is one of the first times they will have fixed it in a timely manner. I remember a bugged quiver that accepted offensive gems. I remember items that, if removed and replaced, would boost stats. I remember weapons that cost 5-10 times as much to upgrade because of a coding bug... oh wait... That one isn't in our favor, but they fixed it anyway! The one thing all of those had in common is that they all took a long time to fix, but this one is set to be fixed as fast as it can be without a hot-fix. I recommend that you use your new toy and farm some glyphs while it is glyphed up for when it goes back to the level it should be.

why should i be punished i just play the game-thats the problem isnt it there always is a bug-its always something how do you think they got the name bugpoint- you act like it would be a big of a deal for them to just leave it and go on down the road and tell their programmers not to be so complacent-but thats not what it is =its about the money they stand to lose- some people buy glyphs-55 million is quite a bit- i dont play 12 hours a day it would take me 2 years to get that many- so i think since they launched the event and it happened they should leave the ones that people upgraded and fix the rarity- i got happy thinking i got a level 55 axw for 1.2 million glyphs-LIKE I SAID ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY FOR THEM- at the end of the day its still just a GAME

Would you rather that they let the anniversary cheaters keep their goodies because it was the programmer's fault? I'd just be happy that this isn't a big exploit that offer's a huge advantage and then people needed to worry about getting banned for simple curiosity (as opposed to flagrant cheating).
Not like I'd use the axe, but I'm glad they are fixing it. It is very obviously a mistake and I don't understand how anyone would expect BP to leave it as is.

P.S. Learn what grammar is. Nothing makes people more likely to write off what you have to say than a post that requires effort to read because you can't be bothered to use proper capitalization (unless it is yelling), commas, or even a period.

sorry mr proper i dont have a typing degree-and its just a rarity classification thats results in the difference in the amount of glyphs it takes to level up- im not gonna pay 55 million glyphs to upgrade my damage by 25 are you kidding me- baragain i know perfect grammar EDIT

I don't have a typing degree either, but I like people to be able to read the things I write, and I respect the forums and the other people here enough to put an appropriate amount of effort into the things I type.

    From the Forum Guidelines:
    Emphasis added.

    And
Then don't, but first, realize that 55M glyphs doesn't just buy you 25 damage because 25 damage is not just 25 damage, and there is more to the weapon than a single damage line.
Making some simple assumptions of gear:

25*1.4*1.5*1.6=84 damage or more from the damage line. And if you account for the 20-30 damage the axe itself gets when upgraded, that is a total of 151-185. Not exactly insignificant in a 1h build. That could easily be 5%-10% more damage right there, and that is before we consider the 334 crit which is easily worth 500 (4.5%) crit or more with the right gear. So, you are not paying 55M glyphs for 25 damage, you are paying 55M glyphs for 151-185 damage and 500 crit. If that isn't worth 55M glyphs, then find/craft a weapon that is worth 55M glyphs and stop complaining that BigPoint fixes both the "good bugs" and the "bad bugs."

i was being sarcastic when i said 25 damage- i forgot after i posted it you would come up with a formula to figure out the exact amount of damage- also do you not have a life because why are you commenting on something that is clearly none of your business-does this GAME make you feel special and powerfull somehow because you know applied math

Fine, ignore me, ignore my math, ignore my assistance to the community. Meanwhile, feel free to keep crying about BigPoint fixing easy bugs and complain like it will somehow make a difference on something stupid like this. Then, the next time there is a bug that you don't like, and BigPoint fixes it, don't forget to whine about them doing their job then too... You've got to stay consistent after all.
