Allrighty... I have a question for the new CM... (whenever (s)he pops up from the lurky depts of Germany)
I wanna know about the caps in the game! I know some of the caps, but to get a complete breakdown would be WONDERFULL!!!
Lemme just clarify: I know that crit hit is at 80%, so is both blocks, but I have been told that theres a 400% critdmg cap, and could U also elaborate on dropcaps? I have noticed that when U farm uniques and gems intensively, U hit the cap eventually...
This means that the droprate of uniques and gems in certain events suddenly goes from normal drop to around 10-15% of normal...
That allways happend when I farm an event too much! Once I get the daychance, the cap is removed, but after around 15 drops of either uniquedrops or gemdrops, that cap is reached once again, and the droprate lowers to allmost nothing...

Now... I like farming! I like preparing for events EXTENSIVELY, and I realize that the dropcap is there to prevent botters from abusing, but since I am a 100% legit player, why should I suffer for farming the game too much??? So could U please elaborate on those caps, so I dont overfarm the game? Cuz its really a PAIN to get punished for being legit...

Probably never.
Because they would have to remove the stupid skill system they introduced over a year ago.

 

In short, the game is becoming more broken with each thing they implement...

I'm not sure if this is a proper section for this kind of questions but this is quite an urgent matter to me and I cannot quite get along with the support staff. There's simply no way to do that when you write a complain.
Anyway, today I've written a complain about a credit card payment I made yesterday with no credit received and I've already have an answer that the case is closed and I should probably talk the thing with my bank becouse Bigpoint hasn't received the money. And I think that's the thing and the money I paid are missing from my account but Bigpoint haven't received it yet simply becouse they're still blocaded on my credit card.
Obviously, in the proper support section there's no place for this kind of explenations and every feedback I received was being sent automaticly and one should not reply to it, so my real question is: should I send them another ticket when the blockade of the many on my credit card will be lifted and try again? I mean, will my case be reopened even if the previous one was so soon closed?​

 

Make sure the funds were not returned to your account. With credit cards, you never actually pay anything right away. The funds are being put on hold, and then in few days transaction is either confirmed or reverted. You wouldnt get any notification of either, if you are in US, for instance. But you would see completed, not pending, transaction if the payment was indeed completed.

If you really have lost those funds, and BP says they didnt receive it, there is nothing they can do on their side, as they dont have any information about transaction.

You need to dispute it with your bank directly. Normal bank would usually credit you with the amount until the matter is investigated.

Has anyone seen the new T&C/Rules agreement request on either website or the game client itself?

They said they will request us to agree on Nov 1, 2016.

As of now, there isnt any rules in the game, as old ones are not longer available to be seen, so do not exists and have no legal power (in US), and the new ones were not enforced yet.

 

Thats weird. Those rules are pretty new, and my account is dated 2012 or 2013. Im sure I havent seen any popup request to agree to anything.

Any other older player who has not been asked to accept new rules out there? Or is it just me and my horrible memory...

Ah, I also have another very old account for US server, with some entry lvl char. Havent seen a popup over there either.

 

Same here. I received emails on my accounts about the GTC changes but never saw anything when I logged into them after 1 Nov. All my accounts are also old (late 2011 to early 2013.)

Yeah, it has to be it. The T&C by the link for US locale are still those 'outdated' (what mods call it) version dated 2011.

Im curious what version of rules would they apply to a person like me. Why are T&C different in US. Guess they cannot figure legal language for US )

I can shed some light on at least this part. In the early years Bigpoint had a U.S. division, Bigpoint, Inc., with offices in San Francisco. I recall posting a picture of the building their offices were in on the old vBulletin forum (I can still visualize it since there was a Subway sandwiches in the in the pic... ummmm, yummy .) Anyway, with a division here in the states that is probably the origin of the old U.S. T&C.

But that office was being scaled down by 2013 and I would guess that it is completely gone by now. (Too lazy to research it atm, lol.) So I dunno, us yanks might be in some strange corporate twilight zone. When it comes to lawyers I usually just reference Shakespeare

@sebastian To the best of my knowledge, the US version of the BP DSO T&Cs of Use was dragged kicking and screaming into the 2016s. If it is still out-dated, I suspect there has been a bit of a balls-up. I'll find out what I can on Monday.

@MikeyMetro I'm pretty sure our "beloved" {cough} ex-ex-ICM Crystal was the last to turn off the light in that office. Mid 2013.

When the blue, purple and red essence will be "disabled" in open world pvp > not affecting players ?

 

Probably never ... and what for? There are official matches players can register to and play without buffs, essences and pots.
If they disable essences in open maps ... they should disable healing spheres dropping from monsters as well

May I ask where the thin client is downloaded.. I checked Program Files but the Drakensang folder there is just 72MB. I found nothing downloaded directly on my root drive (D: where my OS is) either. I have downloaded over 1GB and with my slow connection it took me a great pain to download; so if it gets corrupted I would like to have the backup. I am using WinXP SP3.

The client is in c:\Program Files but you'll find the game data in the temp folder.

Open run command and type %temp% and you'll go directly there. The game data directory is DSOClient.
