My progress so far:


I switched to the new dragan set because the only thing i lose is block rate and rage. I also love how i can trade out my pauldrons to whatever I need if I want block rate pauldrons or critical hit pauldrons or hp pauldrons lol. The new one is very fun and has made me alot more powerful and agile. I will be basing my future 2h builds off of this set.

 

Pretty, the only sad thing i found for it, is low attack speed for "new players"

It's very funny, but hard to reach 1.21-1.31 with this set without good stone and decent HP...

Might be true. But I've seen many DK's these days trying to play with skills that aren't affected by attack speed. Such as Charge, Mighty Wild Swing, Ground Breaker, and that one skill, I think it was called "Fury of the Dragon" or something like that ... Especially in PvP, but I guess some manage to play like that in PvE as well. And by looking at some of Universeea's old stats, I was thinking he's one of those guys.

I could be wrong, it's simply what I'm thinking.

Yup that's exactly it. The other reason why low speed is because I focus on damage per hit instead of DPS and also to save what little essence I have However I have 18% more atk speed since I got the new set from a sapph and ghost cape and it feels SO much faster its much more fun to play now
I just need better torso and trophy with all %cd before I want to try new 2h build.

Hello you guys... First I literally did go through all of these pages, just for insight because I know I'm not the best DK there is out there LOL. I've taken Dr. Horrible's advice and watch Heredur take his toll with Deathp0le XD. But tell me what I should do about my char. I have not been playing that long so I really would like if you guys could cope with that and understand Events are not easy for me to jump on. The reason I have heard plenty of people tell me 'You need the old dragan set' Definitely... I'm working on that, but I don't come on everyday like i used to so I can't. However, outside of Event Items what would you suggest I do in regards my char? I'm working on crafting more armor gems any other ideas? Stop focusing on armor gems and focus on getting hp and possibly resist gems (if you do pvp). You have 79.83% armor, and there's an 80% cap on that stat. Glyphing one defensive item up would probably get you that 80% max.

To be honest, I would be looking to trade armor for hp. 14000+ hp and 6000 armor would probably be more effective as a tank or flagrunner than what you currently have.

 

I am doing the same with my ranger ... at some point armor is not worth increasing anymore ... but HP is always useful.

I go down slightly in DPS output but not too much.

 

Personally, I'd like having the better crit. This factors into boss soloing meta. You can use the Rage Attack skill for it's passives (cool down reduction and fast rage gen) and that lets you use your DH/Banner/Jump/Charge/Battle Cry more often. Other than bosses, it may not be as important, but the truth is that both of those weapons are beautiful and you'll be good with either of them.

 

It seems the new build try to maintain crit rate above 40%. And it require to lower crit damage & hp.
I will miss back to back crit hits. Maybe I can pump crit rate about 50-55% but lower crit damage a little more.
But In my experience improving 15% crit rate doesn't much different.
The build kinda make my self stuck not only for crit rate but also other stats that's compensated.
I'll stick with the axe.

 

I think that's a max damage record for a DK...
I'd also go with the previous crit build.

 

If I had bigger onyxes I would put 4 big ones in grimmag wrath to get me over 50% critical hit but I don't have that lol.
I'm going to stick with my axe for now because I need the extra 2k hp from it and 75% critical hit rate is very good in pvp.
I tried the hammer and alot of white but the ultimate satisfaction is when you land a juicy smash that crits...I was hitting over 60k on some people

Not bad... but that crit needs some lovin. I'm guessing that is a hammer setup. If that is the case, you need to find yourself a good axe and using 2x Bloodtooths will help too.

 

Sacrifice some resistance and armor for critical hit rate and critical damage otherwise 6.5 max damage is useless
